Gus is five years old and we've had him since he was 10 weeks and he has never stayed with anyone other than family or close friends. Therefore, we were a bit nervous about leaving Gus with a stranger. Well Carlos was amazing! We cannot say enough good things about the way he not only took care of Gus but also reassured us on a daily basis through photos and detailed texts how great Gus was doing. What a relief! About: I’ve taken care of the family dog my entire life and I’ve been a dog owner for 15 years. I’ve trained and raised a St Bernard, a Great Pyrenees, a Westie, and our currently beloved lab-mix, Turnip! My husband, Adam, shares this account and helps us be more flexible with your care needs. He is home from work by 2pm during the week and can pop out to visit/walk your pup during the day or we can both come by in the evenings for a visit/walk! We moved from Rosslyn and I know how hard it can be to find a sitter with a nice fenced yard and a friendly pup for your dog to play with while you’re gone, so we’re looking to supply that now that we’re in Fairfax City! I work M-F out of the home but Adam is home by 2pm on weekdays so he’s available for drop-in visits/walks during the week days if needed. We are both available for drop-in/walks weeknight evenings! We have a fenced yard and an overly friendly lab mix, Turnip, to keep your dog company. I know what it’s like to have a routine for your dog and we’re happy to follow any care instructions you provide!

Cindy was absolutely wonderful! This was my first time using Rover, so I was naturally a little nervous about leaving Annie and Archie. From the very beginning, Cindy’s communication was excellent. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which really put my mind at ease and allowed me to truly relax and enjoy my vacation. One of my biggest concerns was leaving Annie, who is an older girl with lifelong health issues. She requires medication with every meal, and Cindy took on her care without hesitation. Knowing Annie’s special needs were in such capable hands meant so much to me. It was clear that both Annie and Archie were well cared for and genuinely loved while we were away. We came home to two happy, relaxed pups, and I couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience. Leigh is amazing! She truly loves dogs and welcomes them into her home as if they’re her own. My senior dog wasn’t eating well the first two nights so Leigh paid extra close attention and tried a few tricks to get her to eat and it worked! My dog had a wonderful and relaxing time staying at her home. She also has a big fenced in yard that was perfect for my hound who loves smells. We will absolutely use Leigh again for boarding.
