Leslie was loving, caring and she treated Frances, my terrier-dachshund with the closest and kindest attention—plenty of walks, balanced diet, happy human company to sleep with when she desired, and various places to rest—so Leslie passed those all those important measures.She also sent me photographs with comments fairly often, which delighted me and made me know that Frances was safe and happy! But then, of Great value was the fact that she always could find positive human companionship—her cousin came, and let Frances and another dog, sleep on his knee, looking utterly content, her roommate really liked Frances and showed it, and Leslie did too. AND there was always her dog, and then occasionally a neighbor’s dog or another client’s dog visiting for a number of hours. That was Heaven for Frances, and just what I was hoping for. A place where Frances could be, as Leslie put it, a member of a pack. NOT a large, in any way overwhelming pack, but a small pack, consisting of one or two or conceivably three other dogs, which she could be with. THAT and the essential human warmth which was very much present—was all I could dream of—and Leslie provided it. Thank you so, so much. I will definitely use her services again! About: I’ve taken care of the family dog my entire life and I’ve been a dog owner for 15 years. I’ve trained and raised a St Bernard, a Great Pyrenees, a Westie, and our currently beloved lab-mix, Turnip! My husband, Adam, shares this account and helps us be more flexible with your care needs. He is home from work by 2pm during the week and can pop out to visit/walk your pup during the day or we can both come by in the evenings for a visit/walk! We moved from Rosslyn and I know how hard it can be to find a sitter with a nice fenced yard and a friendly pup for your dog to play with while you’re gone, so we’re looking to supply that now that we’re in Fairfax City! I work M-F out of the home but Adam is home by 2pm on weekdays so he’s available for drop-in visits/walks during the week days if needed. We are both available for drop-in/walks weeknight evenings! We have a fenced yard and an overly friendly lab mix, Turnip, to keep your dog company. I know what it’s like to have a routine for your dog and we’re happy to follow any care instructions you provide!

I could really tell that our girl was getting the care and attention she is used to as well as play time. We have an English bulldog, and anyone with one knows their folds need daily care, and I could see Priscilla gave these areas attention care as well. Leigh is amazing! She truly loves dogs and welcomes them into her home as if they’re her own. My senior dog wasn’t eating well the first two nights so Leigh paid extra close attention and tried a few tricks to get her to eat and it worked! My dog had a wonderful and relaxing time staying at her home. She also has a big fenced in yard that was perfect for my hound who loves smells. We will absolutely use Leigh again for boarding.
Mrs YJ L. was awesome with our 2 black labs. She is a gentle and kind lady who had no problem handling by 2 large dogs. She sent many photos each day showing how much fun our dogs were having in her care. They weren’t just playing by themselves with other dogs but I can see that she spent time playing with them. She provided toys and threw balls for them to catch. Her home provided a safe and comfortable environment for our babies. They came home healthy and happy. We can’t thank her enough for her accommodating style.
A big thanks to Natalia for her good care of my dog Yeena. Yeena is a picky eater but Natalia worked to get her meals she liked. Yeena is still learning to socialize so being able to run and play in her yard was perfect. Natalia sent several videos so I could see Yeena was enjoying her visit. I thank her again for her patience and hope we can call upon her in the future.
Michelle was amazing with our two doodles! We could tell from the first visit they felt safe in her home and trusted her. Her home is very pet friendly and suitable for extended pet stays. She sent daily pix and videos of them. We could tell they were happy and she treated them with love like they were her own. Michelle's positive energy made it apparent our girls were safe in her care. We would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking a qualified pet sitter who will help you feel relaxed so you can enjoy your time away from your pets.
Serena was a true lifesaver on this trip for us! She took such excellent care of our dog, who needed special medications and a specific diet while we were gone. Under her care, he was back to his normal self in no time and had a great time during his stay, as usual. We were so grateful to be able to go on our planned trip knowing he was in good care. Serena was great at sending us regular updates and giving Tucker lots of TLC during his stay. Would recommend 1000%
This was my first time having a non family member take care of my 16 year old dog. I found Suzi on Rover and felt comfortable with the reviews showcasing how great Suzi was with other senior dogs.
