“Winnie was so loved and well taken care of on her second visit stay with Cheryl and Gustavo. They provided daily photos and updates and Winnie had a wonderful time in their care!”

“Daisy is naturally nervous and not all that good with change, or with other dogs. It says a lot about Miguelina & family that Daisy seems genuinely happy to arrive at their home, and both happy and healthy when we pick her up. We're very happy!”

“Amie was absolutely wonderful with our frenchie, Tank, during his 5-day stay. She sent frequent updates and lots of pictures, was incredibly responsive, and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from the start how much she genuinely loves animals, and Tank was clearly very happy and well cared for with her. She made us feel like he was in the best hands, and we didn’t have to worry about him at all. We came home to a happy, well-loved pup and would absolutely trust Amie with Tank again. HIGHLY recommend!”

“I highly recommend Krysta and Alex for dog sitting services! They took excellent care of our dog, providing a fenced-in yard where he could run and play freely. Our dog also enjoyed the company of their friendly dogs, which was a huge plus. We loved the daily updates and pictures, which reassured us that he was happy and well-cared for. They went above and beyond, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their care!”

“Susan and her husband were great with Oreo. They have a wonderful setup and are very organized and mark each dogs food when they arrive. They even add a lost and found tag with their info should anything happen. They had a kiddie pool and sprinkler for the dogs since it was hot but they wanted to play in the big yard. They sent great pics and videos and we were very comfortable leaving Oreo with them For the week. He's now sleeping but I'm Sure he misses his new friends and doggie Vacay spot.”

“Jodee and AJ are great. They were so patient as I worked through multiple schedule changes with my job leading up to the booking. My two beagirls were right at home with them and I enjoyed getting a few pictures/update each day. Both came home happy and healthy. We'll re-book with them for any future out of town trips.”

“Aisha was excellent and I will certainly use her again!! Blanche thoroughly enjoyed her stay and Aisha kept me updated with lots of photos of my sweet girl while I was away! Aisha was also very thorough with gathering information about Blanche before our stay and she even had a large crate for Blanche to use while she was there so I didn't have to lug my own crate in. This was such a help because the crate and all of the other things that come with an overnight stay can be a lot! I look forward to booking a weekend with Aisha again soon!”

“It was my first time using Rover and Sarah and her husband made it worry-free. They kept me updated throughout Quinn’s stay with pictures and you could tell she was having a great time. Would highly recommend boarding with them, they’ll be my first choice in the future.”

“Christine has a fun, safe, and loving space for the dogs in her care. She limits the dogs she’s boarding, sends pictures, and gives feedback on how your pup is doing. Would definitely recommend Christine’s boarding services.”

“Five stars! Nicole it’s a star. I had a bit of a unique situation for care with my dog this week and she handled it flawlessly. Communication was great, I felt incredibly confident with him in her cares, and will absolutely be using her again.”

“Mariel was fantastic. We knew our Minnie was in good hands. We received daily pictures and updates showing us how quickly Minnie settled in to her routine at their house. We knew she was being showered with love while we were away. Awesome experience! We would highly recommend Mariel as a pet sitter.”

“Oh goodness, April is such a sweetheart. She's a very thorough and caring sitter. Ensured I was well informed and my fur babies were well looked after. 10/10 care and accountability from her. Her logs are my favorite part!”

“Our second time booking with Jorge & Alejandra, they are wonderful! Took such great care of our pup, she got more playtime with them than she ever gets at home! Will definitely book with them again.”

“This is the first time Waldo stayed with Kim and it was great! We did a meet and greet before hand and she answered all of my questions. She accommodated to all of Waldo’s needs and was great to work with. He will be staying with her again in about a month and I know he’ll be well taken care of!”

“John was an amazing sitter for our golden while we were away on an international trip for a week. He sent tons of photos of Kobe on his numerous walks and trips to the dog park. We will definitely book with John again!”

“Marcela did an outstanding job taking care of our cat, Mystic. She kept us informed on how he was doing throughout our trip. It was obvious that he was well taken care of. We will use her services through Rover.com again.”

“Alyce and her family took amazing care of Vera! She was very communicative and sent lots of updates. Her dog Mookie is super sweet and got along with Vera so well. We will definitely be coming back!”

“Rae was great! My boy, Walter, sometimes takes minute to adjust and settle in. But, with Rae he fit right it immediately and had so much fun. She took pictures and let me know he was OK, and even brought him on some errands with her. I’ll definitely be booking with Rae again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Springfield
Abby provided a dedicated room for our kitties with a cat tree, lots of hideaways and cat toys. She had lickable treats to help the kitties get in their carriers when it was time to go. She sent us pictures of our cats once during their 2.5 day stay. She communicated her schedule clearly.

Bethany did an amazing job with our three dogs, who can be a handful! They stayed with Bethany for 3 nights. She was able to administer medication for our senior citizen pup, made sure they got exercise, etc. Bethany was very communicative and provided pictures for us daily. I would highly recommend Bethany.
I had such a positive experience with Jessica. She kindly accepted Shanti on very short notice, and from the moment I dropped him off, I felt he was in caring hands. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which made being away from him so much easier. Jessica was attentive, communicative, and flexible, including accommodating our drop off/pickup time. Shanti came home calm, happy, and very much himself, which is always the best sign that he was comfortable during his stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Jessica again. Thank you for taking such good care of my boy! 🐾

Yun took really good care of our cat Winnie. It usually takes Winnie some time to get used to a new place, but he seemed to adjust quickly and became quite comfortable at her house. Yun was really good at communicating, keeping us updated daily with pictures and texts. Just knowing how happy and relaxed Winnie seemed to be with her made our vacation better. We really appreciated how well Yun took care of Winnie and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a cat sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
