Pet care experience

Pawsitively the best! ♡

Generous discount currently offered for stays 7 days or more Hello fellow Pet Parent, My name is Victoria and I am the primary caregiver for any guest, but my husband is also extremely helpful, supportive, and a wonderful resource when needed. We are animal lovers with extensive experience walking, grooming, feeding, playing with, training, & caring for pets and strive to provide the service we would want for our own fur-baby if we had to have time apart. We specialize in caring for dogs, but have cared for all sorts of pets and animals, from turtles to cats to bunnies and beyond, for well over a decade. We welcome all pets except any pet who has any history of aggression (such as bite history) with other people or animals for the safety of everyone. It is our strong preference to work with & book one family at a time, so we do keep only a small network of clients to ensure we have availability for those requesting regular care throughout the year. We desire to build a long-term relationship with so you'll feel that those used-to-be hard-to-leave-him/her moments before a trip are a breeze once you know your pet will have a blast and greet you with a smile and tail wags when you return! And it makes it easier for us to become so attached to your bundle of joy when we know we will be able to meet again. ***If you are a returning client, but Rover lists me as unavailable for any service or date, please send me a DM and I'll do whatever I can to accommodate - on occasion my calendar is blocked for unconfirmed requests they may*** Are you new to Rover? Use code VICTOT07495 for up to $30 off with any caregiver for your first booking.

Victoria and her husband are amazing pet sitters. They’ve watched our husky, Jax, multiple times over the past few years, and he absolutely loves staying with them—especially playing with their dog, Abby, and running around in their big backyard. They always send frequent updates and photos, which gives us so much peace of mind while we’re away. We always feel confident leaving Jax with them and will continue to book in the future. Highly recommend!

Victoria always does such a great job! Rushmore was battling a minor illness and Victoria managed meds and gave our boy all the TLC. So grateful.

Schedule

Fortunately, I work remotely, so am able to provide close supervision. I am generally flexible when it comes to scheduling, with some constraints around virtual programs and meetings for drop-off or pick-ups that have been easy to navigate around. We have pet-friendly home and an enormous yard, completely enclosed by a 6 foot privacy fence and many walk-able paths and paved trails nearby. We have one dog, a friendly, well-trained and hypoallergenic poodle born in September 2020 named Abacot, or Abby for short.

Safety, trust & environment

With health & safety in mind, I maintain certification for pet CPR and First Aid with Pet Hero Training through ProTraining, as well as an Advanced Background Check via Sterling & Onfido (and so does my husband) for your peace of mind, and a cosmetology degree, which comes in handy for grooming sessions! I have administered medications from oral to eye drops to injections. I also have experience training dogs for Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. We have worked with various pets, from the best-behaved pups to those with special needs, separation anxiety, or advanced age and more.

A typical day

When it comes to a typical day, we would love to know your dogs routine. We are adaptable! So we usually use their schedule as a guide for the day. I am an early riser and usually we head outside right away for fresh air and a potty break, then meal time, more breaks and playtime throughout the day, more food, and lots of snuggles before bed.

Is your first visit coming up soon? Be sure to bring any preferred dog food, leash(s), harness(es). You are welcome to bring any other supplies based on your preference for your pets enjoyment and comfort, but nothing else is required. Please consider the following prompts and share anything of note to ensure the best possible experience for your pet: We would love to know about anything notable regarding sleeping habits, commands he/she understands, allergies (if any), temperament (with other dogs, animals, children), off-leash behavior (within fenced yard only), meal schedule and amounts, usual sleeping schedule and arrangement, behavior(s) to watch-out for (examples: chewing, digging holes, potty accidents, excessive drooling when drinking, feeding/toy aggression), "house rules" (example: is her/she allowed on furniture, allowed on the bed, etc?), his/her vet contact info. Often it is easiest to organize this information if you format your notes as a daily schedule we can follow along with each day. Once the information is received, we will store in a sharable folder for your pet. Likewise please feel free to include any medical or other information you would like us to keep on file. OR you are welcome to complete the pet profile on Rover where all of this information will remain stored. We look forward to seeing you soon!
