“We cannot recommend Sonia highly enough. She was prompt, communicative, thorough, and genuinely caring. We’re pretty sure our dog didn’t even miss us while we were away. We would absolutely book with her again.”

About: I have pet sit for family and friends since I was 16. I can do drop in visits or stay at the home with them. I also worked at a dog boarding facility and have experience with many dogs at all ages. I’m currently only babysitting during the week so I have plenty of time for your pet. I can also drop in during the day to let them out and hang out with them. I will gladly stay with your dog and ensure they have plenty of play time and outside time. I know it’s important for them to get their energy out so I will make sure to spend a good amount of time playing with them.
“Jing was absolutely wonderful with our dogs. She was reliable, communicative, and provided consistent updates at every visit, which gave us real peace of mind. We would gladly have Jing care for our dogs again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, attentive caregiver.”

“Katrina was super great with our newly adopted cat. She was reliable and consistent with visits and provided much appreciated updates on our fur baby. Would definitely book again.”

About: I love caring for all kinds of animals! 🐾 I’m comfortable looking after pets with all sorts of personalities, routines, and special needs. Whether it’s taking an energetic dog on a walk, giving a cat some much-needed cuddles, keeping small pets fed and comfortable, or simply making sure an animal has company while their person is away, I’m happy to help! I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs and always do my best to make sure they feel safe, happy, loved, and well cared for. ❤️ I have time for work I’m looking to make enough money to move out of my parents house and be able to afford basic living expenses I spend a lot of time taking care of my pets. I walk the dogs, clean up their poop, I also feed them multiple times a day. I also spend several hours a day holding or cuddling my clingy cat and caring for her needs as well.

“Absolutely fantastic Petsit!! Seth took care of my pup recovering from surgery on 3 legs. He asked the right questions and was genuinely interested in the comfort and care of our little boy!! Very thankful and I will be booking him again!”

About: My name is Leigh, and I am a dedicated pet sitter and dog walker with a lifelong passion for animals. Growing up in North Carolina, I was surrounded by both large and small animals. I have personally owned dogs for the past 25 years. Following the recent loss of our two beloved dogs in 2024, I found that pet sitting and walking would be a meaningful way to continue sharing my affection for animals. I am available for pet sitting services in your home as well as my own, which features a large, securely fenced yard. I am eager to meet your pet and provide them with attentive care and companionship. I would be happy to provide you with regular updates, including texts and photos. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience to discuss your pet care needs. I work in an office during the week and on occasion from home. Weekends and evenings I am home and will spend time with them. I am also well versed in special needs as my babies have had medical issues. I have given medication and shots to my animals and happy to follow your care list and needs.

Courtney is outstanding!!! She takes such great care of our 15year old sweet dog and as a bonus…her pictures are simply the best! All our favorite pictures of our dogs have come from Courtney’s visits! She is a fantastic communicator and is always so responsible!! Your animals are in the best hands with her!!
I traut Mariel with all of my pets and home visits. I have left my dog twice and have also had her take care of my cats while i was away. She is easy to communicate with, shows genuine love for your pets, and always seams to go above and beyond. Someone you can count on for all the issues that can come up. Strongly recommend her to anyone!
Forest is always the first person we will go to when we need someone to watch our cat! They’ve taken the time to build a great rapport with him so he trusts them enough to take his meds and food every time. We always come back to a clean home and a calm happy cat!

Rachel has been great with our adult dog and our very young puppy! We needed someone to come and check in on the puppy while we're at work, feed him, and take him out. She gives a comprehensive update everyday and has taken some very cute pictures of the dogs, including our older girl who refuses to look at a camera. We're very grateful she's been able to give us a hand!

Ella took amazing care of Bailey while we were away. She was attentive, patient, reliable, followed our routine perfectly and sent the best daily photo updates. I was able to relax on my trip knowing my fur baby was well taken care of. We will definitely book Ella again!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
