“Skyler is absolutely amazing! She cares for my dog while I am away at work and ensures she gets a full mile walk in just a half hour. She shares all the droppings my pup performs and sends pictures every time. It’s a shame she is only here for the summer because I would happily hire her year round.”

“Forest was super patient with our dog, Carmela, who tends to be nervous around new people. They were super communicative with me and made sure Carm had everything she needed. Thanks again!!”

“Teju has been such a pleasure to work with each week and a huge help with our dog while we had construction work going on in the house last week. It’s such a relief to know our pup is in good hands!”

“Alex provided our dog Sammie an afternoon walk today. Alex was very patient with Sammie, who was acting anxious (which is her temperament) and eventually got her to warm up to him and get in a good walk. Alex was kind enough to stay later than scheduled given Sammie’s initial hesitation at walking with someone new.”

“Fatima is great! Very efficient and does a great job with my strong pittie who loves going outside. Also very communicative with how he’s doing and is punctual with our appointments. Thank you!”

“Carole is amazing with my dog. She worked to get my front door open and eventually was able to get in through the garage to get my boy out! She stayed a bit extra to ensure he got his bathroom and walk break in. Thanks!”

About: I’m a vet tech with lifelong experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I offer dog walking and drop‑in visits with a focus on safety, structure, and positive, confidence‑building experiences. I regularly work on threshold training, impulse control, confidence building, and calm‑behavior routines, and I’m happy to reinforce those skills during walks or check‑ins. Whether your dog needs structured leash work, gentle encouragement, or a little extra emotional support, I tailor each visit to their needs. My Belgian Shepherd is calm, friendly, and environmentally neutral. She enjoys accompanying me on walks and can join your dog for companionship and structured social exposure unless you prefer solo walks—just let me know your preference. I work full time Monday and Friday so I can only provide walking services Saturday and Sunday. I’m based in Virginia and available most weekends, with limited weekday availability. I believe over‑communication is the best communication, so you’ll receive clear updates, photos, and notes after every walk or visit. Please share any medical needs or training goals. I believe over‑communication is the best communication, so you’ll receive plenty of updates and photos of your fur baby.
“We are so glad we met Atta. We went to travel and he took great care of my 2 shi tzu. He was amazing and always sent us the photos daily. I will schedule with him definitely again.”

“Macie is an incredible walker. She’s timely with her walks and also does great long walks. She’s always quick to respond and to help with timings of walks. She’s super sweet to our pup!”

“Melianna was great! During our first meeting with her and our pups. They seemed to warm up and got along right away! She sent us updates and reached out if she had any questions. Will definitely book again.”

“Alexander is amazing! He really loves dogs and shows so much love and care for our pup, Benji. We are so happy with his service! He gives us detailed updates each time and we are so thankful and relieved to know Benji is in great hands. :)”

“Adelle is a great dog walker - she shows up on time and always gets the job done. I would recommend her to anyone seeking a pet sitter - she does a great job with my baby chihuahua Peaches. Because of her my little pup actually got potty trained faster and doesn’t go to the bathroom inside anymore.”

All I can say is, Alex. Alex is the man with the master plan. Communication is key and Alex unlocked it. Thank you for taking great care of my baby love. There’s nothing more scary than leaving your prize with someone to care for and does an exceptional job. I will rebook Alex again and again. Bravo!!

My family was very happh with Ji Ung and Hyunjoo taking care of our dog Toast :) They were very nice from the moment we met them and we werr able to explain both on the website as well as inperson any comments or extra details about what Toast might need. They would even send us a couple of videos here and there of him eating or playing which reassured us how well he was taken care of. Thank you both again for taking care of him so well!

Samantha is wonderful and a true animal lover. All of our pets were comfortable with her as soon as they met her. On each visit, she made sure each one had a big dose of cuddles and hugs. She was great about cleaning up any accidental messes they made and also disposed of any "gifts" our one cat brings in from his outside adventures. She kept in contact with us regularly while we were away thru text messages and photos, too. We came home to very happy pets, and we were very happy with the care Samantha gave them.

My dog loved having Fiona over to take him on his walks! She truly cares about animals and is such a great caretaker. I also liked how responsive she was from booking and through each walk to let me know how my furry family member was doing. I would pick her again for my future dog care needs!

Jen was the absolute best! She let me know exactly how the dogs were doing, shared photos, any concerns she had, and gave them plenty of love. Much are high energy so she came over before I went out of town and took notes. I left her with a lot of notes as well that she clearly studied to care for them! She followed all instructions and was very kind with her remarks. I’d recommend her over any other dog alter or pet sitter I have had using rover. Extremely reliable and communicative!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
