“Fernanda was very professional and amazing with our mini dachshund! He is a very stubborn and loud puppy but she made him feel very comfortable and took care of him. I highly recommend Fernanda for any dog needs you may have! Thank you and we can’t wait to book you again!!”

“Alexander is amazing! He really loves dogs and shows so much love and care for our pup, Benji. We are so happy with his service! He gives us detailed updates each time and we are so thankful and relieved to know Benji is in great hands. :)”

About: Hello! I have been a dog owner since I was a little kid, and most recently was a pet parent to my spouse’s dog, Tucker! He was such a sweetie, but very reactive and high needs. He taught me so much about being responsible for a reactive dog, and with him I attended several training courses and also learned how to administer medications! I love dogs and all animals, and it is important to me to treat them with kindness and respect. I promise to treat your babies the same 😊 I am currently studying for an exam and not working, so pet care would get me out of the house! I am looking for a side hustle and there is the added bonus of spending time with animals 🥰 I have extensive experience caring for dogs, and will pay close attention to the details and instructions left by clients. I also love to take cute pictures of the fur babies and make sure they’re feeling cared for until parents come back for the day!
“Can’t put into words the level of comfort and safety I feel when Jasper takes care of my dog. He is so good at what he does and I know he loves my dog as much as I do. He’s the best ! Very communicative and keeps me posted. He little reports about my dog are thorough and detailed ! Thanks Jasper.”
About: I always lead with patience and care. Animals are clear communicators and we just need to listen. I am medically trained (for humans primarily), but I know those skills and knowledge are highly transferable. I work primarily in a hospital. Even though my schedule is consistently changing, I have multiple days off during the week. This allows me to visit anytime throughout the days im off and leaves a lot of flexibility. Respect is key. Whether its for the pet or the home, I believe all things should be approached respectfully and mindfully. I am happy to follow whatever house rules or pet routines you may have.
“Samantha was great! Followed directions without issue, and was flexible enough to accommodate my last minute walking need when my regular walker had to take the night off. I appreciate your help tonight!”

“Anastasia was wonderful! We did an initial meet and greet and from the very beginning, she was great with communication. She was always timely for picking up our our, Barkley, and I think our dog really started looking forward to her coming! Thanks for everything!”

“I was looking for an everyday dog walker to cover my commute to DC. It was imperative to find someone reliable and trustworthy. After reading Emily's FANTASTIC reviews I felt confident that she was the best choice for a dog walker in Centreville. The thing that makes Emily different from other dog care givers is that this is her full time business. She does not go to a job during the day and then your pet comes second....This is what she does for a living and she is passion it about it. Her passion and enthusiasm for pets was very clear to me when I met with her in person to discuss our arrangement for my dog Stella. Emily was wonderful walking my dog Stella. Everyday she sent pictures of her walk and any questions I had she responded back to me quickly through Rover. I highly recommend Emily for dog walking in Centreville. She is great and your dog will love her.”

About: Taking care of dogs has always been a love of mine. I grew up with a chocolate lab who passed away earlier this year (March 2026), and have been wanting to be around dogs since. I fed, cared for, and played with my lab until the day he couldn't anymore, and I would love to have the opportunity to take care of someone else's pet. I'm a college student from JMU home for the summer, looking to stay busy! I love pets and would love to take care of others, as my chocolate lab passed away earlier this year. I have a fenced-in yard from when I had my dog and a huge area for them to play and run around at any point in time.
“Megan is an amazing dog walker for my dog Bowie! She is easy to get in touch with and has been super flexible with scheduling. I know Bowie looks forward to his weekly afternoon walks!!”

About: Growing up, I’ve been surrounded by a variety of pets in our home – hamsters, turtles, guinea pigs, and our family dog. I was primarily responsible for our pets and also have experience with other dogs entrusted to me by close family friends. You can be assured that I will provide your pet with attentive, reliable care while you enjoy your time away. As of now, my schedule is quite flexible since I am back home for the summer months. This allows me to have plenty of time to shower your dog with lots of love! We live in a townhouse with a small, enclosed yard. Our home is pet friendly and there are small parks nearby where your dog could enjoy.

About: My name is Howard, this app is just being wierd with my name for some reason Over a year of volunteering experience at an animal sanctuary with 250+ animals Has been volunteering at the humane society for 6 months Has personal experience with having dogs, rats, birds, and fish as pets since the age of 7 I usually spend most of my afternoons volunteering, taking classes, studying, and working on art so I'm usually available mornings, weekends, or past 10 pm. I have experience with feeding, walking, playing with, and giving medication to animals. My own animals have given me experience with taking care of injured, sick, chronically Ill, and elderly pets.
About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 15 years old for family members, friends, neighbors, people from church, work etc. I've also fostered puppies in the past and have volunteered walking senior dogs from the shelter. I have cared for dogs with medical issues - giving medication, helping recover from procedures, etc. I work from home so your pet will not spend any time alone. First thing in the morning I will let your pup out to the fenced in back yard so they can do any urgent business. Then we'll go for a walk around the block and/or a visit to the neighborhood dog park. Your dog will have unlimited opportunities to relieve themselves in the backyard throughout the day, and I always do at lease one mid-day walk/visit to the dog park. After work we'll go for another walk and be able to really play at the park for a little while (if you aren't comfortable with dog park visits we can stick to walks). We'll spend the evening playing and relaxing at home and then after dinner/before bed we'll do a final walk around the block. If your pup needs a bathroom break in the middle of the night they will be let out in the back yard. I am home most of the time on the weekends aside from a run, bike ride, trip to the grocery store, etc. I'll never be away from home more than 3 hours. I live in an end unit townhome with a fenced in yard (the fence is less than two years old with no gaps or damage). Your pup will have virtually unlimited access to the backyard to go to the bathroom or just relax outside. I do have one dog of my own, she is a 25lb rescue from Puerto Rico, she is extremely friendly and loves other dogs so your dog will have a buddy and won't be alone. There is also a dog park in my neighborhood and we go there at least twice a day (weather permitting, and only if you are comfortable with that). I am very active and get out for a walk at least 3 times a day. Dogs are people too so your pet will be able to sit on the couch and sleep on the bed if you are ok with that - I am happy to stick to any rules you implement at home.
About: I’ve been caring for animals over 20 years and am also a licensed veterinary technician. I’m comfortable with reinforcing training, giving medications, and caring for puppies/kittens to senior pets! I’m currently available for drop in visits in the morning and evening. I’d be happy to help care for your pet while you’re away from home! I am happy to follow instructions left by you for your pet while you’re away. Walks, playtime, or short training sessions. I’m also comfortable with administering medications and doing physical therapy exercises for your pet.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have nearly 7 years of dog sitting experience starting in middle school. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities and I pride myself on being extremely attentive, reliable, and detail oriented with every pet. I have experience handling multiple dogs at once including caring for up to five dogs for 7+ days, so I’m very comfortable with both longer stays in higher-energy households. I treat every dog like my own and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I also provide consistent updates so you can feel confident and not ease while you’re away. I’m a student at Virginia Tech with a flexible schedule, typically having at most two classes a day. Outside of class, I spent most of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. My routine makes it easy for me to incorporate walks, feeding, playtime, and check-in consistently. I’m able to adapt to each pets needs and schedule, whether that means early mornings, midday visits, or evening care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a pet friendly apartment with a fence dog area, so dogs have a safe place to get outside and play. I’m very attentive and make sure pets are always supervised and cared for based on their specific needs and routines. I also keep owners updated regularly so you always know how your pet is doing.
Uniontown dog parents share their Rover experiences
My family was very happh with Ji Ung and Hyunjoo taking care of our dog Toast :) They were very nice from the moment we met them and we werr able to explain both on the website as well as inperson any comments or extra details about what Toast might need. They would even send us a couple of videos here and there of him eating or playing which reassured us how well he was taken care of. Thank you both again for taking care of him so well!

Samantha is wonderful and a true animal lover. All of our pets were comfortable with her as soon as they met her. On each visit, she made sure each one had a big dose of cuddles and hugs. She was great about cleaning up any accidental messes they made and also disposed of any "gifts" our one cat brings in from his outside adventures. She kept in contact with us regularly while we were away thru text messages and photos, too. We came home to very happy pets, and we were very happy with the care Samantha gave them.

My dog loved having Fiona over to take him on his walks! She truly cares about animals and is such a great caretaker. I also liked how responsive she was from booking and through each walk to let me know how my furry family member was doing. I would pick her again for my future dog care needs!

We booked another service with Paige for several days and she took the absolute best care of our pup! She provided consistent updates, was on time for each visit, and followed his daily routine without difficulty. We were traveling for holidays, so our minds were even more at ease knowing our pup was happy and well taken care of. I would highly recommend booking with Paige!

Fatima was fantastic with our dog! She demonstrated great skill in walking our 50 pound, curious, high energy dog around our neighborhood. Fatima showed great care and compassion towards our dog as well. Our dog was wagging her tail and was enthusiastic to be with Fatima. She really seemed to like interacting with Fatima! We would definitely request Fatima again for future dog care thru Rover!
