“Emily was absolutely wonderful with Juno. She was always incredibly attentive, caring, dependable, and genuinely seemed to care about her well-being. Juno passed away a few weeks ago, and looking back, I’m especially grateful knowing that when I couldn’t be there, she was in the hands of someone who treated her with so much kindness and compassion. It was obvious that Emily didn’t simply see taking care of Juno as a job, she truly cared about her. That meant more to me than I can adequately put into words, particularly as Juno got older and needed a little extra attention and patience. I would recommend Emily without hesitation to anyone looking for someone they can trust with a pet they love. I’ll always be grateful for the care, kindness, and affection she showed Juno.”

“Argelia had a great first walk with my dog. I appreciate her patience while we sorted out access to the unit. She provided a thorough update/report following the dog walk with lots of cute photos. You can certainly tell that she takes her job seriously and cares.”

“Maddy was once again wonderful. Always communicating with me well and going above and beyond to help when my pups when she was sick! Will definitely book again in future :)”

About: I have three dogs of my own, and plenty of experience walking and taking care of them! I’ve also pet sat/walked for others and am comfortable with all breeds and sizes as well as other animal types. Two of my pups are senior citizens, so I have experience with that as well! I’m currently an online college student, so most weekdays and weekdays work for me! I’m also available during most times of the day. While I don’t board pets in my own home, I do go to the clients home to check in on the animals! I’ve always made sure to be respectful of their space, make sure the pets are well taken care of, and lock up behind me.
About: What sets me apart is that I’m not just a sitter—I’m a dog mom myself, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pup with someone. I treat every dog like they’re my own, with genuine love, patience, and attention to detail. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, or just a calm presence, I’m here to give them the same care and comfort they’d get at home. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pet the attention they deserve. I’m available for early morning walks, midday drop-ins, and evening snuggles. I also offer overnight care for those who need a loving presence while they’re away. My routine can easily be tailored around your pet’s feeding, walking, and potty schedule. Pet care is a huge part of my life — it’s not something I fit in, it’s something I prioritize. From daily walks with my own dogs to checking in on client pups, I dedicate specific time each day to ensure every dog gets quality care, play, and attention. I always plan my day around their needs, not the other way around. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, safety and comfort always come first. I create a calm, structured environment and supervise interactions closely. I keep a close eye during walks, use secure leashes, and never leave pets unattended. In your home, I respect your space and routines, following any special instructions you leave. I also send plenty of updates, photos, and videos so you always feel connected and reassured.
“Nikki was wonderful! I was scrambling last minute to find a dog walker, and she was available on short notice to walk Enzo. She kept me updated on her arrival time and sent along pictures and a short summary of their walks together.”

“Ben has been a real blessing helping us walking Rocco. He responded last minute requests and it’s always very punctual and professional. Our dog Rocco loves to go on walks with him, he gets all excited every time he sees Ben and comes back happy and ready to nap after walking with Ben. Thanks a lot!”

“Daniel was fantastic with Jack! He was always on time and super reliable during the two weeks I was away. With Glenn working 6/10 shifts, Dan’s daily walks gave Jack a much-needed break and helped us out a lot. We’re really grateful for the care and consistency— we’ll definitely be using him again. Highly recommend!”

About: After my experience working at a boarding kennel, my friends, family, and colleagues looked to me for pet care. Ever since I’ve been walking, feeding, and looking after animals of all different sizes for my people. I’ve loved being able to take care and spend time with animals and making sure people feel comfortable knowing their pets are safe and loved with me. I’ve distributed insulin, eye drops, and oral medicine, and I can bathe/brush/clip nails as well. Starting the 28th of November, I’ll be off all day Sunday and Saturday. On weekdays I’ll be able to check in before 8am and after 5:30pm. I feed and prepare food based on feeding instructions, clean up after pet made messes. I walk on designated routes for any desired amount of time. I try to give as much snuggles if the pet is comfortable, if not I respect animals boundaries
About: I have been a vet tech and animal educator in the past. I’m very flexible with scheduling, and understand last minute things come up. I am happy to work with whatever pet needs you have! For locals I can pop in as often as needed, I’m happy to be flexible with your needs. My availability right now is wide open. I am comfortable with pets that need medical care, pets that are less comfortable with people/strangers/ other animals, and the less common pets. I believe in full transparency, and will provide your pets with the care you would give them yourself.
“Kelly helped me when I was in a last minute bind and needed a dog walker. In addition, the front door was not working properly to ope, so we had to text back and forth about that. Kelly took it all in stride and responded very kindly and helpfully, which helped me feel not at all stressed anymore. I will be looking for her the next time I need a dog walker”

“I appreciate how Teju keeps me updated on each walk, but what’s most impressive is how excited my dog is to see her each day. Her love and care for my dog really shines through and it makes a big difference.”

We had a wonderful meet-and-greet and neighborhood walk today, and this walker is absolutely lovely! They naturally they handled commands with my high energy pup. If you need someone who is both highly capable and genuinely caring to look after your pup, I cannot recommend them enough!

My family was very happh with Ji Ung and Hyunjoo taking care of our dog Toast :) They were very nice from the moment we met them and we werr able to explain both on the website as well as inperson any comments or extra details about what Toast might need. They would even send us a couple of videos here and there of him eating or playing which reassured us how well he was taken care of. Thank you both again for taking care of him so well!

She was so kind and such a joy to meet! We feel really good about trusting her with our dog and home! Right away she connected with our doberman and you can tell she has a lot of knowledge and experience! We are looking forward to working with her for walks and out of town stays!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
