“We had a wonderful meet-and-greet and neighborhood walk today, and this walker is absolutely lovely! They naturally they handled commands with my high energy pup. If you need someone who is both highly capable and genuinely caring to look after your pup, I cannot recommend them enough!”

“Sarahi was incredible with my dog Eisley. My dog was immediately comfortable with her and was excited for walk time everyday. Would absolutely book her again and the only reason she is not helping any longer is because I am moving.”

“Daniel was fantastic with Jack! He was always on time and super reliable during the two weeks I was away. With Glenn working 6/10 shifts, Dan’s daily walks gave Jack a much-needed break and helped us out a lot. We’re really grateful for the care and consistency— we’ll definitely be using him again. Highly recommend!”

“So friendly and my dog absolutely loved her. Asked great questions and was very knowledgeable about dogs in general and older dogs especially can’t wait to book her again!”

“Argelia has been great. She’s been able to give me peace of mind now that I’m back to work full time and the babes aren’t used to being alone. I love getting the pictures from the Rover card and her updates are always very detailed.”

“She has been so great with my dog! She’s very responsible, loving, and always makes sure he’s happy and well taken care of. I truly appreciate her help and would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pet 🐶💖”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs during my life time and know how to keep them happy and safe. And this won’t just be me but also my two kids. I also just last year took care of our neighbors hyper dog for a few days. I’m currently not working I’m retired and have free time on my hands and it seemed like an easy side hustle that I can do with my family and so that my youngest daughter learns responsibility. I have a lot of experience with dogs and me and family currently have a dog(Jack Russel Terrier) of 5 years. And with my same experience I will take of your Pet very well and keep them happy. Because pets are more than just companions they are family.
“Alex is a very responsible and pet loving person. He took very good care of my dog Adele when my husband and I were away, he even went further to help water my plants in which I appreciate so much. He always made Adele ate her food before he leaves, and he also tried to avoid other dogs while walking Adele since Adele is not friendly with other dogs. Alex was very meticulous, he will stand by water for Adele while walking her in a hot day and he will try walking Adele under the shade too . I feel so relieved to have Alex taking care of Adele while my husband and I are away for a week. I have no hesitation to recommend Alex to everybody here even my neighbors 😊Thank you Alex! 🐕🐕🐕🐕💕💕💕”

“We contacted Steven as a last minute option. He was our first choice when looking through Rover and he was amazing with all 3 of our pups! Steven is an animal lover who also rescued one of his pups, so he understands rescue dog behavior and was very understanding of our pups needs, as one of them is a rescue. We’ve also been working with our pups about jumping up on people and pulling on a leash and Steven helped us reinforce the training that we’ve been doing with the pups! Steven really took care of our pups as if they were his own and was SUPER friendly! For most people, 3 dogs would be rough, but Steven was able to handle it perfectly! We will ABSOLUTELY be reaching out to Steven again for care of the pups!”

About: What sets me apart is my experience and the level of care I provide. With 4 years of pet care experience, I’m very attentive to each dog’s needs—whether it’s helping train puppies, caring for senior dogs, or managing specific routines like medications or special diets. I stay organized, patient, and focused on making pets feel safe and comfortable, and I communicate consistently with owners so they always know their pet is in good hands. I build pet care into a structured daily routine, especially in a boarding setting. I’m used to keeping consistent schedules for feeding, walks, potty breaks, and cleaning. I also make sure each pet gets individual attention and monitor their behavior, appetite, and overall comfort. I’m comfortable adjusting routines based on each dog’s needs, including medications, special diets, or different energy levels. Staying organized and attentive is really important to me when caring for multiple pets. I care for pets by following a consistent routine while also adapting to each pet’s individual needs. In my home or a client’s home, I make sure feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, and any medications are followed exactly as instructed. I keep the environment clean and safe, and I spend quality time with each pet so they feel comfortable and not stressed. I also monitor their behavior, appetite, and energy levels, and communicate with the owner if anything seems off.
“Extremely great experience. Our dog is always excited and happy when Siria arrives for a walk. Very professional at all times and takes care our dog extremely well! Highly recommend!!”

“Michael is totally reliable. Michael is very engaging with your pet. Michael has walked for me many many times even under inclement conditions and never hesitated to show up. Michael is personable and humorous with four leggeds and their human.”

I'Il treat them like my very best friend, I'll play with them, take them for walks around the neighborhood for some fresh air, and of course provide cuddles.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Gate
Angelly was amazing! I needed a dog walker at the last minute and booked her the day before, and she was available without any issues. She arrived five minutes early, was professional and thoughtful, and even asked where I preferred she dispose of the poop bags. She took my dog on a full 30-minute walk and kept me updated with several photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. The entire experience was smooth from start to finish, and she was such a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely book Angelly again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, punctual, and caring dog walker!
We had a wonderful meet-and-greet and neighborhood walk today, and this walker is absolutely lovely! They naturally they handled commands with my high energy pup. If you need someone who is both highly capable and genuinely caring to look after your pup, I cannot recommend them enough!

She was so kind and such a joy to meet! We feel really good about trusting her with our dog and home! Right away she connected with our doberman and you can tell she has a lot of knowledge and experience! We are looking forward to working with her for walks and out of town stays!

This was our second booking with Kasey. She was easy to work with and great with our 3 dogs. She was quick to recognize their preferences and skilled at meeting individual needs. Our dogs clearly enjoyed their time with her and they napped/slept well after her visits.

This was my first time having Hayleigh walk my dog, and it was a great experience. My dog liked her right away, which is always a good sign. She was kind, responsive, and very responsible. I’m really glad I found her and will definitely use her again when I’m traveling for work. Thanks, Hayleigh ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
