“Daniel was fantastic with Jack! He was always on time and super reliable during the two weeks I was away. With Glenn working 6/10 shifts, Dan’s daily walks gave Jack a much-needed break and helped us out a lot. We’re really grateful for the care and consistency— we’ll definitely be using him again. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all sizes and personalities. I grew up with a giant breed dog and three cats, currently have two cats of my own, and I am an animal shelter volunteer! I’m comfortable with dogs of any size and temperament (both laid-back cuddle bugs and high-energy dogs that need extra exercise and attention). Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just having someone nearby to keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I treat every pet like family and always aim to make their time with me stress-free and fun! I work full time but am off Fridays and weekends, as well as sometimes after work! I will work with any owners to make sure their needs are met. I am extremely flexible and will follow the owner’s usual routine as much as possible. I am comfortable with leashed walks as well as supervising dogs in fenced yards — I will not walk dogs off-leash or leave unsupervised in yards. I am happy to take dogs on adventures or just chill, but for the most part I am happy to do whatever the owner prefers!
“We are reoccurring clients of Maddy’s, and are very pleased with her services. She is reliable, responsive, responsible, caring, compassionate, and respectful. We highly recommend her to other pet parents out there that are looking for someone that they can feel good about entrusting the care of their fur-baby(babies) with.”

About: I currently work at Deepwood Veterinary Clinic! I work with the animals that are boarding. I’ve been handling animals for about 6 months now. I’ve been taking care of all types of pets working at the clinic like dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, even pigs! I adore animals so much! From small to big, I love them all. I do have my own dog her name is Luna and i’ve been her main caregiver since she was 6 months old! Shes now 5!! I hope you'll give me the opportunity to care for your animals! :) I’m currently working part time and i’m wanting to make a little bit of extra money! I also want more experience with handling animals since i’m planning on going to school to become a veterinary technician. I will take very good care of your animals! They will get all the food, water, and play time! I’m sure they’ll have a blast with me. :)

About: I am very physically fit as I run and lift and can provide care for dogs big and small and no matter their energy level. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time throughout the week to care for pets. I’m available most weekdays, evenings, and weekends, and I’ll make sure your pet gets lots of attention, exercise, and care. In my home, pets will have a safe, clean, and comfortable environment with plenty of attention and exercise. I make sure pets stick to their normal routines, stay supervised, and feel relaxed while away from home.
About: I have been the "go-to" petsitter for family and friends for almost 15 years. Growing up we have always had animals, so it became natural to me to take care of pets. I love being outdoors and walking my dog, Elvis. I enjoy our adventures and seeing the joy in my neighbors face when we go out and about. I'm comfortable with giving medications if need be. I'm a rescue mom from Berkeley, CA and am very familiar with most breeds. I'm patient and kind to all animals because, quite frankly, I don't believe humans deserve dogs and cats. They're way to good for us. HA! I have open availability and can stay at your home if it makes you comfortable or your "best friend" can stay with us. We have a HUGE backyard and live in a very safe neighborhood north of Baltimore; not to mention ALL OF THE TOYS!!
“You can really tell she genuinely loves dogs! She’s so sweet and caring with our dog, always keeps us updated, and makes us feel completely comfortable leaving him with her. Frankie is always happy to see her 😊 Highly recommend!”

“Extremely great experience. Our dog is always excited and happy when Siria arrives for a walk. Very professional at all times and takes care our dog extremely well! Highly recommend!!”

About: I’ve had hands-on experience caring for dogs for over 6 years. Since I was 14, I’ve cared for my husky, Buddy, along with several other dogs including Tux, Dragon, Roxie, and two pitbull puppies named RJ and Susie. I also rescued and took in a stray dog named Rudy, who became my own. My experience includes feeding, walking, playing, bathing, supervising puppies, and making sure dogs feel comfortable and cared for in a safe environment. I have flexible availability for pet care, with time open in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on the day. I’m able to provide daily care such as feeding, walking, and playtime, as well as check-ins and longer visits when needed. I can also adjust my schedule for overnight stays or extended care with some notice. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet in my care. I understand how important it is for pets to feel secure and comfortable, especially when they’re away from their owners. I take time to learn each dog’s personality, routine, and needs so I can provide consistent and attentive care. I always supervise pets closely during walks, playtime, and outdoor breaks, and I make sure they are in safe, controlled environments. I treat every dog as if they were my own, focusing on building trust through patience, respect, and a steady routine. My goal is to create a stress-free experience where both pets and owners feel confident and at ease.
“Michael is totally reliable. Michael is very engaging with your pet. Michael has walked for me many many times even under inclement conditions and never hesitated to show up. Michael is personable and humorous with four leggeds and their human.”
“Sarahi was incredible with my dog Eisley. My dog was immediately comfortable with her and was excited for walk time everyday. Would absolutely book her again and the only reason she is not helping any longer is because I am moving.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Manassas
She was so kind and such a joy to meet! We feel really good about trusting her with our dog and home! Right away she connected with our doberman and you can tell she has a lot of knowledge and experience! We are looking forward to working with her for walks and out of town stays!

Blain is a compassion and patient person that helped with my crazy dog named Krazy for a reason. Blain didn’t give up on Krazy, kept trying until she was able to take her out. Blain is a person that follows instruction and keeps you update with any situation. I 100% recommend using her and her services. Treats your pet as if they are her’s.

Ingrid is an excellent dog walker! She has taken care of our puppy very well on each and every walk and has provided us detailed information on how she is doing, especially while recovering from illness. We recommend her service to anyone who needs closer care, love and attention to their pets!

This was our second booking with Kasey. She was easy to work with and great with our 3 dogs. She was quick to recognize their preferences and skilled at meeting individual needs. Our dogs clearly enjoyed their time with her and they napped/slept well after her visits.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
