I am currently in college, so I have a very flexible schedule to care for your pet at any time of day! My own senior dogs go out more often now as well, so I’m typically in the Clifton/Centreville area.

I always like to set up meet and greets before the actual booking starts so your pet can get a feel for me before a stranger walks into their home. I have a calm demeanor so I do not scare the pet. If they’re still hesitant, I offer small bites of kibble or approved treats from the owners. All dogs love to eat right? This typically gets them to warm up to me if they’re still a little shy. I follow the dog’s lead in how our visit goes; it is their home after all.

No breed preferences, lover of all dogs! I would like to know if the dog has any triggers that make it scared or feel threatened. Also, any special notes about the dog such as medical conditions, leash pulling, etc. I can adapt very easily.
A typical day
We can go on walks around your home to make your dog more comfortable. If there is a dog park, I can also take your pet to enjoy some off leash time and socialization!

Pet care experience
Have you ever met that person that sees a dog and just HAS to point it out? That’s me! I have always loved dogs! I have had a dog in my home since I was 9 years old (22 years!). I’ve cared for different breeds including golden retriever, hounds, bulldog, chihuahua, poodles and more! Currently, I have a 12 year old American Staffordshire and an 11 year old Cane Corso Mastiff. I’ve had them both since they were puppies, so I have plenty of experience with dogs of all ages. I currently have a very open schedule. I am available just about any day! I can help with dog walking and/or just coming to play with, feed, and love on your furry friends. I know I can be the best care for your best friend. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your fur babies!

Emily has been excellent in taking care of our new puppy Roscoe, starting on just his second week at home with us. We had a hard first week starting to get him adjusted, and we immediately felt better upon meeting Emily and knowing that she would be caring for him during the day once we went back into the office. She has come 2x per day, diligently on time and providing robust updates and frequent communication as we continue to get Roscoe settled, and she has been so so helpful already. We look forward to continuing to work with her!!

I booked Emily to walk my dog once a day, for multiple days while I’m at work. She took time to come by for a meet and greet beforehand, asked questions about my dog’s routine, where he walks and talked about her process. You can tell she loves dogs!
