“Carey was a wonderful pet sitter and clearly loves animals. She is very punctual, informative, and took excellent care of my dog. She was also very flexible as we had a couple of last minute changes and Carey was able to accommodate the changes easily. I was also updated regularly with short summaries of my pets along with really cute photos ! I highly recommend her and plan to hire her again the next time I travel.”

About: Hello to every cynophile and ailurophile on here. My name is Carmen and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and if you are familiar with people from LA, you know we LOVE ALL animals. I grew up with a big family who loves animals and since I can remember we’ve always had pets at home. Back in LA we have 4 dogs, 1 turtle and now added to that 5 love birds! Anyways, I no longer live there and moved to the east coast with my partner about 2 years ago. Our new home now houses just 2 cats. One of them is a tabby cat who is 6 years old named Blinchik. He is a very outgoing cat that loves everyone and everything. My other cat is named Nala (Siamese/Tabby) and she is quite the opposite from Blinny boy. She loves to keep to herself and takes a while to trust anyone but once she is warmed up you can see her beautiful shy personality. I used to be a nanny which also meant I took care of their pets as well. I have lots experience taking care of other families pets as well as administering medications when needed. Since I’ve been a dog and cat mom, I treat other families pets like they are my own. I’m currently in grad school to become a Speech-Language Pathologist which gives me a lot of extra time to take care of your fur babies 🩷 I’m currently in my graduate program to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. I’m in school Monday-Thursday with only one class a day. That being said, it gives me lots of extra time in the afternoon/evening to fill up with some dog walking, pet sitting, and playing time. My home has a fenced yard so if your fur baby is staying with me, they will have the yard all to themselves to run around and have fun. If I am coming to your home, know that I will respect it and get the job done as well as loving your pet as if they were my own.
“She was awesome! She sent us pictures and updates, and she was so sweet and caring with our dogs. I felt very comfortable knowing they were in good hands. I’ll definitely book with her again!”

“First time using Rover, and Olga was amazing! Frequently kept me updated on Coopers status, including plenty of pics. Had the schedule this last minute and on Thanksgiving Day, and Olga was more than happy to help. Will definitely use her again in the future, and highly recommend.”

“Claire was great with my 6 month old puppy! She made sure he got in a nice walk, playtime, and dinner while I was away for longer than he’s used to, which made it easier to be gone from the house.”

“Carrie did a wonderful job taking care of my cats. She sent updates with pictures after every visit and my cats were all happy and healthy when I returned home! She was also very kind and flexible when I needed to make some changes to the schedule. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a cat-sitter!”

About: For the last five years, I have taken care of several dogs in my neighborhood. Mostly walking them, at times several walks a day, and dogsitting as well. I am able to account for the needs of dogs and am able to safely walk them. I am also a proud owner of two beautiful cats, so I am familiar with the habits of cats and how to tend to their needs! All my neighbors view me as a trustworthy companion and caregiver for their furry friends I am currently full time at home. My availability will be dependent on variable day-to-day errands, but I will be sure to prioritize my furry clients! I will keep a leash on your pet at all times while walking and be sure to follow your directions for your pets' care regarding food, treats, water and anything else.
About: I’m a huge dog lover and will give your dog(s) the love and care they deserve! I grew up with a German Shepherd mix, Max, who is now 10 years old! I have raised my little Ozzy since birth while I was on Active Duty in the Army - he is now 1.5 years old. I’m currently job searching, so I have plenty of time to walk your dog(s) and drop in for visits! I am flexible around your schedule. In my home, Max and Ozzy have room to play in the living room. We have a backyard but it is not fenced. I live in a dog-friendly neighborhood, and we always make friends while walking the dogs!
“Nikki was great! She was able to stop by fairly last minute to let our dog out for a short walk. She was also kind enough to come over for a short meet-and-greet beforehand so that our dog would be familiar with her. If another time comes where we need a drop-in sitter, we’ll absolutely be using Nikki again!”
“This is our second time using Kelsey to watch our two cats, Bernie and Stella. She is so fantastic with them; handling meals, and making sure to get some playtime in with our younger cat each visit. It truly puts our minds at ease knowing they are in such good hands. Kelsey also went above and beyond for us - I would absolutely recommend her to anyone in search of care for their pets.”
About: As a devoted dog mom to my 12.5-year-old Maltipoo, Theodore, I understand just how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. Having cared for Theodore throughout every stage of his life, I have firsthand experience with senior dogs and understand the extra patience, attention, and gentle care they may need as they age. I know every pet has their own personality, routines, and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I'll treat your pet with the same kindness, care, and attention I give my own! Whether you need someone for regular walks, drop-in visits, or extra companionship while you're away, I'd love to help! Send me a message so we can chat about your pet's needs and how I can give you peace of mind knowing they're in loving hands. While I work full time during the week, I make time in my schedule to provide loving, reliable care for your furry family members! I'm available for weekend boarding, as well as dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the week before or after work. Depending on your location, I may also be able to do visits during my lunch break. My own dog, Theodore, is free to roam the living room while I'm at work rather than being confined to a crate - your dog can do the same if you want. I also have an indoor pet camera that allows me to check in on him throughout the day, giving me extra peace of mind when I'm away. I live in a one bedroom apartment, there isn't a fence but there is an onsite dog park. I don't have children, so my home is generally quiet and free from the noise and activity of a busy household, making it especially welcoming for pets who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, including senior dogs. I care for pets by making sure they get regular walks, meals on their usual schedule, fresh water every day, plenty of attention, and, of course, lots of cuddles and love (if they enjoy them!). I understand that every pet has their own personality, preferences, and routines, so I always tailor my care to their individual needs. When caring for pets in your home, I respect your space and follow your instructions closely to keep their routine as familiar and stress-free as possible. I'm also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.
About: Hello! I’m Catalina. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I love creating a mix of adventure and comfort for them, whether it’s a hike, a long walk, or a relaxing movie night afterwards. My building has a great dog park with lots of toys, so pups get plenty of space and stimulation. I’m available on weekends and always make sure every dog in my care feels safe, happy, and loved. Your baby will get lots of attention, playtime, and cuddles with me! I have availability in the afternoons and weekends. During the weekend I can spend the whole day with them and also at night or dog care. I don’t have dogs or cats in my home , so it will be easy if someone needs me to stay at my place with their dog/cat.
About: I've been cat and dog sitting since 2016, staying at friends and family members' homes to provide care for pets while they're away. From that experience, I've learned about feeding, walking, and giving attention to each pet's needs. I'm always curious to learn more about them and being a reliable pet sitter for the family. I also like to volunteer at the local animal shelter. I work fully remote as a web designer. Sometimes, I go in the office if needed, but my schedule is flexible. I just need a heads up at least 3+ days prior to make sure it works with my schedule. I prefer to stay at the client's home while they're away, so the pets can stay comfortable in their familiar space and get attention during the day.

“Amazing experience. Rosemary is punctual, knowledgeable, and truly listens to individual dog needs. My dogs loved her right away, and she was so nurturing during her time with them. We will be booking again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oak Grove
Perry was wonderful! She paid attention to all the little details, and took such good care of our sweet boy. We’re admittedly crazy cat people and always get a little anxious leaving him, but Perry made us feel so much better with pictures and videos. I hate to say that the highlight of our vacation days was seeing his rover report card. We know he’s in good hands with her and she’ll be our top choice next time we need a sitter.

Nicole was wonderful taking care of my cat, Kafka, while I was out of town. She made sure he had his food, gave him his medication, and spent time playing with him and also send me pictures of him. Since Kafka is 19 years old, I really appreciated her care and attention. I highly recommend Nicole!
Cassidy took excellent care of my two cats while we were out of town. She followed all care instructions, gave them their medications, helped with packages, and even put the cat furniture back into place after the cleaners came by. We look forward to booking Cassidy again soon!

Paige was wonderful with our cat, Lilly! This was our second time having her watch Lilly while we were away, and once again, we had a great experience. Paige is dependable, communicative, and takes great care of her. She kept us updated during our trip and gave us peace of mind knowing Lilly was in good hands. We’re so glad to have found someone we can trust and would absolutely recommend Paige to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Allison was so great with our cats - responsive, communicative, and proactive! Couldn't ask for anything more in a cat sitter. We came home and our cats didn't seem desperately starved for affection, so I know they were in good hands with Allison when we were gone!

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
