“Manrong was an excellent cat sitter even during the recent snow and ice storms! She braved our unplowed driveway with no complaints and sent friendly, thorough updates while we were out of town.”

“Madison did a great job caring for Arthur! Perfect amount of communication, showed up right on time and did everything that was asked. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter! Would definitely book with her again.”

“Emily was awesome!!! We got back from vacation and I think our cat misses Emily more than he missed us. She was very attentive. Very great experience overall and we will defiantly use her again.”

“Ella did an amazing job with my tuxedo cat! She sat and played with her-gave her treats-scooped the litter box-even managed to brush her a little! Tazz only comes out for those that she trusts- Ella was patient and kind and took her time with her. I will be booking again! Highly recommend this young lady!!!”

About: I have taken care of many different dogs and cats throughout my life, from neighbors to strangers I have helped many different people with their animals These days and times that are listed are what’s best for me, but I can definitely be flexible and work something out with you to best fit your schedule. I can adapt to any pets personality so long as I know what its boundaries are. I would like to be informed as thoroughly as possible as to how your pet behaves so I can provide the highest quality care.

“Alex took excellent care of our dogs! He is professional, responsible and kept me updated with all the pup activities. I especially appreciate that he uses the visit timer, report cards and send pictures. We will book with Alex again!”
“I had an excellent experience! Emily was incredibly kind, communicative, and took wonderful care of my cats. I came home to happy, well-cared-for animals, and the flowers she left as a thank-you were such a thoughtful and unexpected touch. I would absolutely book with Emily again and highly recommend her to anyone on Rover.”

About: I have been pet and house-sitting for over 10 years. I've worked with dogs of all sizes, from a chihuahua to a Leonberger. As well as a variety of other animals, including cats, chickens, bunnies, and fish. I have experience with all ages, young, middle-aged, and senior animals. I like to think of myself as a green thumb and will happily take care of gardens and houseplants! I'm new to town for graduate school and looking for a part-time job that fits my school schedule (Online classes in the evening two days a week). I am available for plenty of time with pets and watching over a home. I am available for day visits to play, walk, or get belly rubs. I am also available for overnight stays for pets who need extra care and attention!
“Carole was an excellent cat sitter for our (very) senior cat. She medicated him as required and actually spent time with him on each visit. Her notes were thorough and gave us a very good idea of how he was behaving in our absence. She really went above and beyond, and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone, but particularly to those with a delicate cat who has special needs.”

“Carrie took such great care of our kitty cat princess while we were away! She was very communicative and sent over great picture updates. We will definitely be using her services again in the future!”

“She was wonderful with my puppy. She followed my instructions and ran around outside playing with him. It seemed like he had a lot of fun with her and was very happy when I came home. I would definitely recommend.”

“Wyatt and his dog Alien are amazing. I needed someone dependable that could get my high energy dog out for a walk and play date, and Wyatt never let me down! On time, reliable and trustworthy, will definitely use him again. I have given his name out to my neighbors as well.”

“I strongly strongly strongly recommend Yiyi. She took care of my two senior cats for 3 days, two visits per day. I have never booked a pet sitter before so I was worried, but Yiyi made sure there was nothing to worry about. She is very respectful and communicated in a timely manner. She sent a lot of pictures of my two cats for peace of mind. We enjoyed all the updates. She did everything perfectly and made sure everything was exactly as wanted. She spent a lot of time playing with my seniors cats and keeping them stimulated which I really appreciated. I will only be booking with Yiyi for all future trips. If you want to know your pets are in safe hands you can trust her.”

“Cassie is always very thorough. She cleans up after the kitties extremely well. She cares about each one and makes sure everyone is fed and watered and paid attention to. I highly recommend her!”

“Shaye is amazing - a dog’s best friend! She took the time to meet Scooter in advance of our visit and it was immediately apparent what a dog-lover she was (and how much our dog loved her too.). She arrived right on time to walk and care for Scooter and gave us pics and updates. Fantastic caregiver for our fur baby!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. My family dog was mine to care for growing up and I currently share my home with two cats. In my role as an assistant, I also help care for a dog regularly so I’m comfortable with day to day routines like feeding schedules, walks, and general upkeep. I frequently cat sit for family members too so I’m experienced with a range of personalities and needs from playful and social to more independent and lowkey. I work part time as an assistant but my hours are flexible so I have plenty of availability to fit pet care into my routine. I’m able to work around your pet’s schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, or whatever they need. I do my best to match each pet’s energy and make them feel comfortable and safe. I stick to their normal routine, feeding times, walks, and favorite spots so there’s as little disruption as possible. I pay attention to whether they want to play or chill and I always make sure the home is locked up and left just how I found it.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lewis Park
Forest is always the first person we will go to when we need someone to watch our cat! They’ve taken the time to build a great rapport with him so he trusts them enough to take his meds and food every time. We always come back to a clean home and a calm happy cat!

We highly recommend Susannah for your pet sitting needs, she is wonderful. She took care of all 3 of our pets as well as our fish! She was thorough in the feeding, cleaning up after, etc. and was in constant communication every day. She is wonderful, book her!!! 😀😁

manrong was communicative, reliable, clean, and great with both our highly anxious dog and cat. our cat has never come out for a sitter until we booked with her, which really spoke volumes. manrong also followed all my instructions and made adjustments when asked. she was patient and gentle with our babies so i felt completely at ease while we were gone. i’d definitely recommend her!

Jen took care of our pup and guinea pigs for a second time, and just like the first, she did an incredible job. Her attention to detail is impressive and she truly cares about each and every animal she takes care of. She remembers their funny little quirks and routines and puts us at ease every time! Will book again and again!

Meghan is amazing. She has been my go-to cat sitter for 7 years. She has known my cats since they were only kittens. Meghan spends quality time with each cat, petting, playing and truly loving them. The daily photos are precious. Meghan has become family and the cats absolutely love her visits. 5 paws!

Macie was so great! I made a request a bit last minute and she was able to drop in and give my cats some love and attention. I really appreciated it - because I am a worry wart! She sent pics and made sure theor food dispenser and water fountain were working. I know they were happy having somebody stop by. Thank you again, Macie!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lewis Park. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
