I have grown up with cats and dogs my whole life- at the same time too! Most of my life I had three cats and a dog, and made sure they were fed, walked, played with, and loved. During the pandemic, I was a cat foster for Lost Dog and Cat Rescue. I fostered and got over 14 cats adopted over the course of a year. I dealt with cats who had medical issues that needed oral medication, and special diets. I own two kitties of my own, and one of them I have had since under a year old. I spoil my own cats, and would do so for your own animals (unless you would prefer me not to!). I have taken care of golden lab puppy/young dog, as well as an older English bulldog, at least quarterly since 2020 for weeks at a time, and ensure the owners get daily pictures and videos of them loving life! I have taken both a Cat and Dog Body Language course through the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, and volunteered for a year. I have also fundraised over $600 for the Humane Society of Portage County within 2 weeks, which provided over hundreds of animals food for a week. LGBTQ Friendly 🏳️🌈

Nikki and Johnny really hit it off during their meet and greet. He as so excited and happy to see Nikki when she arrived to stay with him. He went right out and wanted to play ball with her and he seemed very happy to be with her. We got great pictures and information from Nikki while we were gone. Everything went very well.
Nicolette is an awesome dog sitter! This is her second time staying with Higgins and I would definitely love to book her for future stays. It’s incredibly clear that she loves dogs and treats your pup like her own. Higgins absolutely loves her and got super excited to see her again. Nicolette is great about communicating before and during the stay.
Nicolette has watched my two cats twice now and didn’t blink an eye when one cat ended up need pills crushed up and served for a medical condition. The boys love her and I appreciate the flexibility!
Huge shoutout to Nicolette for taking care of our guys! She did a fantastic job. On her first overnight with us, she watched our older guy. She was so great to work with (two-thumbs up on communication) and outstanding with our dog, that we decided to up the challenge and added a puppy to the mix. Nicolette managed the puppy chaos beautifully during a multi-night stay at our house. We'd highly recommend her if you are looking for someone who will take exceptional care of your animals and home; we will for sure be using her again!
Nikki was amazing with my dog and 2 cats while I went out of town for a quick trip. It was my first time leaving them with someone who wasn’t family and she did such a good job with them I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to watch their babies.

THANKS TO BEING FURLOUGHED, my availability for weekdays are open!! Need a weekend away, or want someone to watch your animals while you are out doing activities? I'm your gal! While I have a full-time job during the week, I am available on weekends to take care of your lovebug, and am more than happy to stay overnight at your pet's home with them to keep them comfortable and well-cared for! As a heads up, my work does not allow me to have my cell phone, so I will make sure I can answer your requests as soon as I can! My home has two kitties of my own, so it is easier for me to travel and stay at your home. I'm sure your pet wouldn't mind! ;)
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
Your home would be respected first and foremost. Your animal's space will be respected, and cleaned up after playtime. I would provide my undivided attention to your animal, and make sure that the energy they give me is given back to them. I love walks, and providing mental stimulation through playtime, food puzzles, "hide and treat", training, etc.
Pets
A typical day
I love to go outside on walks. If client has a yard, play fetch with dogs. I'll do food puzzles, training, etc. Cats if they love to play with wands, mice, etc- I enjoy playing with them. If they prefer to be left alone, or given some small treats, that's great too.
