“I can't speak highly enough about Mark. His intake process is well thought out and thorough. I'm a first time dog owner and he has already given me great insight into my dog. I can tell through his questions and our conversations that he is mindful and intentional in all of his interactions with Sam and the other dogs he cares for. A true dog lover. Sam already has multiple reoccurring bookings with Mark.”

“Sophie O. was so great with Cinder. We needed a last minute booking while traveling through Denver and she was quick to respond and very accommodating of Cinder’s special needs in hot weather! Thank you Sophie!”

“We were nervous about leaving our puppy with someone we didn't know but Annie did a great job! She communicated and updated frequently. Couldn't ask for a better day. Thank you so much, Annie!”

“Lauryn is fantastic. She takes great care of my 5 month old puppy. The updates are super fun to see. You can tell she really loves animals in the way she cares for them. Definitely recommend!!”

“Pork chop had another great day with Nick! He was very accommodating with the last-minute request, and I basically had to drag pork chop out of there. He wanted to stay so badly. He came home, tired and happy, which is always the best. Thanks Nick!”
“Jeff was able to accommodate our last minute booking request. Oats spent 1/2 a day with him and I don’t think he’d want it any other way! Jeff provided great notes, photos, and lots of attention to Oats. We will definitely book again without hesitation! 😊”

About: I've taken care of pets since I was a child, my friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to take care of pets while on vacation or out of town. I have given my own pets medication daily and potty trained. I love to do check-ins and dog walks and I also do house sitting! You can rest assured that your pet is in great hands. I'd love to host your cat or dog in my home while you are away. I also house sit. I pet watch full time. I love host your cat or walk your dog or do check in visits for either/or! I always make sure to clean up after doggies in public areas.
“Lindsay and Joshua are just the nicest people. They were able to accommodate us on such short notice and they took amazing care of my baby. Thank you two!”

“Jen, Jim, their daughter, and their pup all really went out of their way to make sure Harper had a great first day with them. Harper especially loved snuggling and exploring their incredible backyard. 10/10 recommend!”

“Sophie was so wonderful towards my pup! I hadn’t realized she was sick when I dropped her off one day but she was so patient with her and understanding. My dog loved going to her house in the morning and she was always happy to see Sophie!”

About: I recently had to say goodbye to my soul dog on 06/09/26. We found each other when I was working at the Longmont Humane Society in college, and I had the honor of spending the next 12 years with the best friend I’d ever know. Now I’d love the opportunity to open up my home to watch new dogs until I am ready to find my soul dog #2. I had my dog Dexter from his age of 4 to the old age of 16. So I have experience with all energy levels of dogs, as well as dogs that need medication and a little extra attention. I work from home, and work for myself so I have a very flexible and accommodating schedule. My previous routine with my dog was 2 walks a day, in the morning and evening. So it would be great to get those walks going again! I have a dog friendly house, with a small but functional backyard and small grassy front yard. I live 2 blocks from City Park, so always happy to go for a lap if that’s up to your dogs liking. Or if they are an around the block and back dog, we love that too. I’ll love your dog like my own. After loosing mine, it would be lovely to hear the pitter patter of a dog roaming around the house, sleeping, and even a little barking.
“Makayla is awesome! Super easy to coordinate with, quick to respond, and took really good care of my girl. Makayla’s dog is very low key and friendly, and my dog got on great with him! Couldn’t recommend her more!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Denver
Camryn and Sergio took amazing care of our puppy. They sent photos of the fun time she had and loved on her like she was their own. Their dog Ralph was patient with her high energy and let her share his bed ❤️ We highly recommend them and will definitely use them again!
Allison helped us out last minute, and we were super grateful! She shared that she is in the process of moving, so there were a lot of boxes and items taking up space in the house, but the dogs were able to use a fenced backyard space for running around. And, our dogs got along well with her dog, Remy. This was our first time using Rover, but she was easy to communicate with, and the process went just fine.

We loved having Leah watch our Australian Shepherd, Coco Puff, while we went different places with our son during the weekend we were visiting him here. Leah is such a calm, loving person and Coco took to her right away. We could tell Coco felt right at home with Leah, when she eagerly went to her the second day we dropped her off there. It was nice to receive pictures and updates on how Coco was doing while we were away from her.

Savannah was amazing!!! My dog Rooty loved hanging out with her. Savannah was incredibly responsive, caring, and attentive to my pup. I was at ease knowing Rooty was in great hands. Savannah sent plenty of updates and photos during the day. Absolutely recommend and hope to use again :)!!

Jess has been absolutely amazing with my dog, Flora, for our weekly care. Flora became instantly comfortable with Jess and her family because they treat her like one of their own. Jess is flexible, very responsive, and incredibly trustworthy. I feel completely comfortable leaving my pup with her, knowing she’s in such good hands. I’m so grateful to have found someone Flora loves and feels so comfortable with!

Gloria was absolutely amazing with Parker! She was so warm, caring, and attentive, and I felt completely comfortable leaving him with her. Her communication throughout the day was great, and she kept me updated on how Parker was doing. She also sent me pictures of him throughout the day, which is my absolute favorite and always gives me so much peace of mind. 🥹❤️ Parker looked so happy and comfortable with her, and I could tell he was genuinely well cared for. Gloria treated him with so much love and kindness, and I’m so grateful to have found someone I can trust with him. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will truly care for their fur baby! 🐾💕

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Denver commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
