“Sophie is top notch!! She has been so great with my anxious husky and my girl has been so comfortable with her. She sends photos of walking the dogs and her little dog is so friendly. Thanks for the amazing care Sophie!”

“Aaron was amazing with our pup! Our dog was worn out when he came home from day care and he got so much love throughout the day. I almost felt bad picking him up because they grew such a tight bond! We will definitely be reaching out again, our boy has a favorite!!”

About: As a lifetime animal lover, I've had the pleasure of being a pet parent, rescue pup foster mom, and repeat sitter for friends & family. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and many different medical needs. I work from home, so I will be with your pup the majority of the time. I do not have a yard but I take multiple daily dog walks (plus a final potty break before bed). I'm centrally located in Denver and live with one 65-lb mixed breed dog and a small bird (caged while around dogs). My dog has welcomed a variety of other dogs into our home and has always been very friendly. I live across from a park, which is perfect for meet-and-greets with other dogs on neutral ground. I allow my dog on furniture and I don't feed her from the table. I am happy to keep consistent with rules and habits you prefer your dog to follow! In case of emergency, I have go-to vets for both regular and 24-hour care but am happy to default to your preferred vet.
“Jacquie was very sweet from the start. Asking all the right questions for Willy’s first time meeting her. She gave me great updates throughout the day, and effortlessly accommodated when I had to ask for a later pick up time. Willy was so sad when we were leaving. We can’t wait to go back!”

“My dog Charlie can be a bit hesitant with strangers but Annalese and Garrett helped her feel at ease. They were easy to communicate with and sent lots of photos!”

“Melanie was incredible! Was able to accommodate Neji with only a few hours notice. She communicated quickly and gave me plenty of updates. I’d never left him with anyone from rover before and now I’m sad that Melanie isn’t local to my hometown! It’s apparent that she has a genuine love for animals and she loved him like her own. 100% would recommend.”

“Rebecca and Katie (and Blue) were amazing sitters. Lefty felt so comfortable and happy; she had such a good time she wasn't ready to leave! We received pictures and updates. It was great to know Lefty was in great hands.”
“Winnie had a great time at Jessica’s house playing with Reggie and Frankie! Great backyard to explore, and great communication. Would definitely book again!”

“We were nervous about leaving our puppy with someone we didn't know but Annie did a great job! She communicated and updated frequently. Couldn't ask for a better day. Thank you so much, Annie!”

“Regina helped us watch our girl for the afternoon while we continued exploring with our little ones. It was a last minute decision and it worked out great. Beezus got a nice city walk in and some warm snuggles. Thank you again!”

“Otter had an amazing time with Maddison! He went on a long walk, and I received amazing pictures of him lounging and playing. I'm so grateful and recommend Maddison to all puppy parents!”

“10/10! Gloria was very accommodating, kind and understanding when it came to me being almost 2 hours late dropping off my pup to her! 🥲 She updated me as the day progressed with pictures and was so kind! Not to mention her rates are better than any of the other rates and the service was amazing!! Thank you Gloria I look forward to having my dog spend more time with you and your pup!”

“Doby was wonderful with Finn! She took such great notes throughout the visit and sent lots of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that she was attentive, caring, and really took the time to understand Finn’s needs. I would absolutely recommend Doby!”

“Our dog, Athena, had the best time with Camryn, Sergio and their dog Ralph! She was well cared for, and we would not hesitate to book with them again!”

“Torre took excellent care of my senior dog, giving her meds and following lots of "special instructions." She communicated well with me throughout the day and sent lots of reassuring pictures. I would use her again in a heartbeat and recommend her without hesitation.”

About: We are a young, active couple who truly love making furry friends feel right at home. With over 15 years of experience caring for the pets of family, friends, and neighbors, we pride ourselves on being a trustworthy, reliable pair. Whether your pup is a high-energy explorer or a professional couch potato, they will receive individualized attention, safety, and plenty of kindness. We host only one dog at a time and we strive to keep our rates on par with local doggy daycare and boarding facilities but give your dog much more individualized care. Your dog won’t have to worry about sharing space with strangers—just 1-on-1 care. At this time, we can only accommodate dogs up to 25lbs who are able to hang by themselves for at least 2-4 hours. We typically work from home on Mondays and Fridays and can be with your pup full time then. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday we may be at home or in the office. If we are in the office, we can pop home at lunch for a walk and cuddle. We love being outdoors and are happy to tailor exercise to your dog's needs. We treat every pet like a member of our own family so they feel right at home while you are away - check out our gallery for a few shots of sweet dogs we have taken care of. We can’t wait to meet your pups! Feel free to message us with any questions or to discuss a custom booking for your furry friends. Our day is scheduled around your sweet dog! As a duo, one of us will be home with your dog when they are staying with us. We ask that the pups who stay with us can be alone for 2-4 hours to let us run routine errands, but they won't be alone any longer. We usually start the day with a walk, take a mid-day potty break or walk (whatever your preference), an evening, and a potty break before bed-time. We are happy to accommodate whatever needs your pet has so they are comfy. The dogs that come stay with us usually keep us company and sit next to us (or on our lap!) while we work. We live in an apartment building right next to a big park in central Denver. We are able to get outside and let the pups enjoy the fresh air throughout the day (or stay inside mid-day during that crazy summer heat). After several years of pet-sitting, we are comfortable and well-versed caring for your pets while you enjoy stress-free time away. We try to keep our rates on par with local dog boarding facilities but provide a more personal and individual experience for your furry friends while you are away.
“Alexandra is the BEST! My dog felt so comfortable with her, to the point where he didn’t want to come home and kept leading me back to her house on our walks. She is so professional, kind and amazing with animals. When my dog got a little anxious she was able to help him calm down. I cannot recommend her enough!”

“Jessica was great! She was very responsive and great with our shy pup. She was willing to do a meet up before the first daycare day, which was so appreciated. She provided detailed Rover cards. Our puppy didn't want to say goodbye on his last day! Would book again - thank you, Jessica!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Denver commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 4,521 sitters in Denver, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
