About: I’ve been watching my neighbors’ animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and love them dearly and I currently have two cats of my own! Animals are my safe space and I love spoiling them! I currently have two cats, so I obviously give them love and take care of them everyday! I am in school, but do it all online so I am very flexible with my schedule and availability for your pets! I’ll always make sure your animal is comfortable with the way I am interacting with them and never push their limits. For cats - if they aren’t keen on humans, I won’t bother them. If they love attention and to play, I’ll be waving a little wand around immediately to get some of their energy out and giving them lots of love. For dogs - I will make sure they are comfortable and walked, and have gone out enough. I can take them to parks and play, or keep them separate from other animals depending on their personality!
“Rachel was amazing with our elderly dog & cat. She was very considerate of their needs, loving towards them, and clearly communicated with us. I would definitely recommend her service and will be using her again!”

“Scot has been so patient and lovely with our dog that is scared of strangers! He came for a meet and greet prior to the first walk, and has taken everything at Lilly’s speed. He sends such great pictures and detailed messages, we’re so grateful!”

About: While I’m new to Rover, caring for dogs is anything but new to me. I’ve spent years pet sitting for family and friends, caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs—from playful puppies and energetic adults to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I’m comfortable following each owner’s routine, reinforcing training, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their people are away. Dogs have been part of my life since the day I was born, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. My family has always had one or two dogs, giving me a lifetime of hands-on experience with dogs of different breeds, ages, and temperaments. When I was 12, I got my own dog and played an active role in his training. After our older family dog passed away, we welcomed another puppy into the family, and I helped train her as well. She went on to become an AKC Champion show dog and later had a litter of puppies, with my sister keeping one of them. Those experiences taught me the importance of consistency, patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding that every dog has their own unique personality. I’ve also cared for a variety of other pets over the years—including cats, hamsters, fish, a fire-bellied toad, a gecko, a salamander, and a pet newt—so I’m comfortable caring for many different types of animals. The only reason I don’t currently have a dog of my own is because I travel to visit family fairly often—not because I don’t want one! Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. I work from home full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be present throughout the day. Whether your pet needs walks, bathroom breaks, meals, playtime, medication, or simply someone to keep them company, I'm available to provide attentive care. Because I'm home most of the day, your pet won't be left alone for long periods. I make sure to maintain each dog's normal routine so they feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home while you're away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. Before every stay, I take the time to learn your pet's routine, personality, preferences, and any special instructions so I can provide the care they're used to. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or mine, my goal is to create a safe, calm, and loving environment where they feel comfortable and secure. I'll follow your feeding schedule, exercise routine, training preferences, medication instructions, and any household rules to keep their routine as consistent as possible. Communication is important to me, too. I'll keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and receiving plenty of attention and affection.
“Jeff’s communication has been great! It’s reassuring knowing our senior girl is in good hands while we’re at work. Jeff definitely cares about the animals, and we get great photo updates! We really appreciate the reliability, would definitely recommend:)”

“Kristine was amazing!! I would highly recommend her. She sent pictures and videos of my dogs. They really liked her and she was patient with them. She threw the ball for them as well so they can get their energy out during her drop in.”
“Zaineb was an absolute lifesaver. She stepped in last minute and took amazing care of my pup, Casper, for three days of walks, and I couldn’t be more grateful. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly great with dogs I’m sure Casper loved her right away. I really appreciated the updates and knowing he was in good hands while I was away. I would 100% trust Zaineb again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring Rover.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
