“Raymond took care of our puppy while we were on vacation and did an amazing job. He showed up every day to walk Ollie and for the full time. He also took many pictures and videos each day during their walk and sent to us which was really nice. We highly recommend using Raymond for your pet!”

“Rachel is amazing! She has walked my dog five days a week for the last three months and has been super attentive to my dog’s needs. Rachel has gone above and beyond by helping my dog make improvements on her leash reactivity. My dog is now more attentive to me on walks and can ignore other dogs! Additionally, Rachel is great about making their walks fun by letting my dog sniff as much as she wants and sending me lots of great action photos. I knew Rachel was doing a great job when one of my neighbor’s commented on how well my dog behaved with Rachel. Most importantly, my dog loved Rachel and was really excited about her from day one. I highly recommend Rachel. She was friendly, quick to respond, adaptable to schedule changes and demonstrated true affection and care towards my dog. Absolutely amazing!”
“Cassandra does an amazing job with my dog. She comes and takes her for walks when I’m working and my neighbor says she can hear my dog get super excited every time.”

“Jillian is great with my dog Olive! Olive loves seeing her & going out for her walks. She’s very friendly & has great communication, I also always appreciate all the photos I get. I highly recommend her services.”

“Anna is the best! She is super communicative and has been a life saver for last minute bookings. She also shares a ton of photos and updates when she visits. My dog absolutely loves her and we will continue to use her. 100% recommended using Anna!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life, up to 4 dogs at a time. I am observant of body language & able to manage different pet ages/needs. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to accommodate a variety of pet needs. I communicate clearly, arrive when expected, and am committed to being dependable so you can trust me with confidence. I provide a calm, reliable, and caring environment where they’ll receive plenty of attention, stick to their usual routine, and feel safe and loved while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing both your pets and your home are in trusted hands
About: As a fellow pet parent, I understand that your pets are cherished members of your family. Their comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority. Whether you need daily walks, drop-in visits, playtime, medication reminders, feeding, light housekeeping related to pet care, or simply someone to provide companionship while you're away, you can count on me to treat your pets with the same love and attention I give my own. My passion for animals is matched by my experience. I have cared for pets recovering from surgery, assisted with post-operative care and physical therapy exercises as directed by their veterinarian, administered medications, and maintained specialized feeding schedules, exercise routines, and dietary requirements. I understand the importance of consistency, patience, and close attention to each pet's individual needs. I pride myself on being dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented. Whether your companion is an energetic puppy, a senior pet needing extra care, or one with special medical or behavioral needs, you can have peace of mind knowing they'll receive attentive, loving, and professional care every step of the way. Caring for animals is something that naturally fits into my daily life. I plan my schedule to ensure every pet receives the time, attention, and consistency they deserve rather than feeling like just another appointment. Whether it's early morning walks, midday check-ins, evening feedings, or overnight care, I'm comfortable building my routine around the needs of the pets I'm caring for. Throughout the week, I make time for exercise, enrichment, and one-on-one attention because I know these moments are just as important as feeding or potty breaks. I also keep a close eye on changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels and communicate any concerns promptly, giving pet parents peace of mind while they're away. Being a pet caregiver isn't simply something I do, it's something I genuinely enjoy. Spending time with animals is one of the most rewarding parts of my week, and I take pride in providing dependable, compassionate care that helps pets stay happy, comfortable, and stress-free in their own homes. My home is kept clean, organized, and pet-friendly because I believe a safe, sanitary environment is essential to every animal's health and well-being. I stay on top of daily cleaning, keep food and water areas fresh, maintain clean litter boxes or outdoor spaces, and make sure pets have a comfortable place to rest and relax. I bring those same standards into every client's home. I treat each home with the utmost respect, cleaning up after feedings, walks, accidents, and playtime, sanitizing pet-related items as needed, and leaving everything just as tidy as I found it. I carefully follow each family's routines, cleaning preferences, and care instructions to provide consistent, reliable care. Clear communication is just as important as quality pet care. If I notice any changes in your pet's behavior, appetite, health, or if an unexpected situation arises, I will contact you immediately so you're informed every step of the way. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind by providing dependable care, maintaining a clean environment, and ensuring you always know how your pet is doing while you're away. Ultimately, I want you to return to a happy, healthy pet and a home that feels just as clean, organized, and welcoming as when you left.
“We have booked Brooke and her partner a couple times now to drop in and walk our dog on our longer work days. We have really appreciated their flexibility, and the communication they maintain during each visit/walk with our dog. They're def our go-to for repeat-booking on this site.”

About: Hello my name is Thomas (TJ). I have been caring for both my own pets and those of others for two decades now. I utilize my experience working in professional kennels and training centers to better help care for the needs of your furry friends. My love of animals began when I was five, when I received my first pet, a German Shepherd rescue named Bullet. I've since had several cats, four dogs(currently have a brilliant GSD named Saint), seven ferrets, a coupe of rabbits and a sugar glider named Pete. Outside of my time with my own pets I worked as a dog walker and Cat Sitter in New York City for a year, meeting and caring for all manner of breed from each species. I've also spent four summers volunteering at my hometown veterinary clinic back in high school, cleaning up after, feeding, and helping to enrich the animals that were being held overnight or longer. More recently I've worked as a kennel technician at Doggie Dude Ranch and Church Ranch Vet Clinic. There's nothing more important to me than the love and joy of pets. When I'm not spending time around animals I like to enrich my own life both physically and mentally. I currently work out to keep in good shape, practice both yoga and meditation and enjoy riding my motorcycle. In my professional life I am a chef, and have translated my skills and training over 10 years leaning about food and nutrition, and have been using my knowledge to feed and care for my pets by preparing them fresh and healthy meals that don't come out of a can, box, or bag. I'm working to make pet care my business and career. I recently left an office job that I stayed at the last three years While I enjoyed the nice wages and benefits, I prefer to feed my soul with my work and taking care of animals does this for me in spades. I can work with your schedule, simply let me know the times that work best for you. In my own home I have a fenced in yard with a 5.5ft metal grate fence that is padlocked to prevent unwanted opening. I also use a radio collar fence for my own dogs which keeps them safely confined in a humane manner. When caring for pets I take into account disposition, age, health and any special needs. I never allow interaction of your pets with anyone else or their pets unless instructed that this is okay and even then with the most careful of supervision. I believe strongly in letting the pet "tell" me what they want, in the manner they communicate best. It is up to us to read their clear communication with a pet focused brain, rather than in a human capacity. When on walks or in care situations, my phone remains mostly out of hand except for picture taking. I give the pets all the focus I can so they get the best experience possible.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 9 years old. I grew up with boxers and australian shepherds, but have cared for labs, goldens, pit mixes, and a husky! I trained my rescue husky and managed to help her become a well behaved member of the family. I enjoy walks just as much as the dogs do, and I love to spoil the dogs I care for. I work remote 3 days a week and in-office 2 days a week. I live across the street from my work and have ample time to go home every 3-4 hours to walk/play with your dog! For walks/potty breaks/social visits, I have a lot of flexibility on the days where I work from home. I have a spacious apartment with a couch that I’m happy to share with any furry friends. I’m an early riser and love to get a walk in before my day starts. I’m happy to prepare meals in my kitchen if your dog has any special dietary needs (or if you like to feed them whole foods).
“When I first reached out to her she was so sweet! But what caught my eye was that she was more than willing to do a walk thru first before walking my little doodle. She repeated back to me what I wanted done for him and I can’t thank her enough for her patience and understanding of what having a puppy is like. She’s been walking my guy for a little while now and it’s gone so well! She’s awesome!”

About: I have experience caring for different kinds of animals and truly enjoy spending time with them. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive to their needs, whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, giving medication when needed, or simply making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I understand how important pets are to their owners, so I always try to treat them with love, care, and attention as if they were my own. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I enjoy spending time with animals. I make time for feeding, walks, playtime, and giving pets the attention and care they need every day. I care for pets by following their normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and giving them lots of attention and care. I always try to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away.
“Emily was on time, had patience, and took Crew for a long walk! She even refilled his water before she left. Everything you could ask for in a dog walker. Will be contacting her again in the near future.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Aurora
Raymond is an amazing pet care provider, who has now both watched our dogs overnight while we’ve been away for a long weekend, and come in to walk our dogs daily while we were gone on an extended vacation. He is punctual, communicative, reliable, and very good with both of our dogs (one of whom is quite rambunctious and has limited interaction with other humans!). Highly recommend!

Serena was amazing! She's very quick to respond and took suh great care of my dog, and even went for a little longer on the walks. She also accepted a very last minute request and help me and my dog Pépé out of a bind. Will definitely keep using her! Can't recommend enough.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
