“Dominique was great! She took perfect care of my dog and he was very comfortable with her. The updates were timely and detailed. I would absolutely have her watch my dog again.”
“Rosibel and her family were fantastic and took great care of Coco. I am super grateful for everything they did for her while I was away for 2 weeks. Rosibel kept us updated with photos and made us feel completely at ease, I highly recommend her !”

“Great time with a last minute booking! Took the time to let my dog relax and feel at home, while providing frequent updates with photos and video with lots of playtime”

“Kristen is amazing and really took care of a dog well. She took lots of pictures and updates and was awesome at communicating. I would recommend her to anyone. She was great for our active dog.”

“Isabel was great! She was wonderful at communicating before and during the stay. She sent pictures throughout the stay and updates. We would highly recommend Isabel!”

“Leslie did a great job with our puppy Butter! She sent lots of pictures daily and looked like she was having so much fun playing in the yard with new friends. We’d be happy to have Butter stay again one day soon.”

“Wow, talk about some wonderful hospitality for our dog! Stephen and his wife are kind, caring and so affectionate as Rover hosts. Mia was completely comfortable inside their home and had a great time with their dog Granby as well. 5 stars? Forget that, I'd put 10 if I could!! Mia says thank you soooo much and see you soon Stephen!!”

“We’ve booked with Tanya a few times now, and she’s great! This time we had to book on super short notice, and we’re so thankful she was available. Our dog Ike has a great time with her, and we know he’s taken care of there. Tanya shares photos and gives us peace of mind while we’re away ☺️”

“Cj is incredible- while on vacation, Peanut had his own little vacation at Cj’s house and had the time of his life. Cj was very communicative, sending daily pictures, and also super accommodating. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and friendly dog sitter!”

“Jim & Jerrod were so fantastic at watching my dog! They were responsive and flexible with my last minute booking, very accommodating to a meet and greet and my drop off and pick up schedule, and amazing with Indy. She loved all of the cuddles and getting to play in their big fenced yard. Would definitely ask them to watch Indy again.”

“Thessa was amazing! I had photos, videos, and message updates all throughout the stay! Gave me such piece of mind while I was away. And her dogs welcomed mine immediately, giving my sweet pup new friends to play with the whole weekend! Flexible on dropoff/pickup and really appreciated the request for a meet and greet prior. 100% recommend!!”

“I can’t say enough good things! Panda was so well cared for and loved while we were away. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands. I really appreciated the updates and pictures—it made me feel connected and reassured. Panda came home happy and relaxed, which tells me she was treated like family. Highly recommend!”

“Katya did a wonderful job taking care of Zoey for me while I was out of town for over a week. She was very responsive to all of my messages and consistently sent fun photos of my pup through out the trip. It became very clear to me very quickly that Katya pays close attention to details, particularly as it related to Zoey's Probiotic and sensitive stomach. Had Zoey gotten into anyone else's food, she would have gotten an upset stomach and other issues. I absolutely would recommend Katya to anyone looking for a new sitter for long and short trips alike. I look forward to leaving Zoey with her again on my next trip.”

“Charles and Rachel were awesome! Communication was great and I felt super comfortable leaving my Romy with them for 8 days. Romy enjoyed her stay so much that when I came to pick her up, she didn’t want to leave. Would definitely use them again!”

“John and his fiancé were amazing and took great care of Stas! They have the sweetest little dachshund named violet who immediately became besties with my pup. Can’t wait to rebook with them!”

“I cannot even express how amazing Jacky was with our pups! She took such good care of our two temperamental huskies. One of our guys is really timid and by the end of his stay, he was so comfortable and I could tell they had bonded. She sent me daily updates with pictures, which made the whole experience even better! We will definitely be booking with Jacky again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Aurora
Isabel and her hubby did such a great job of taking care of our two fur babies. Their dog was also a welcoming host and had such a lovely temperament. Our two dogs are very particular about meeting new people, dogs and spaces and they had no problems feeling at home. Our Sight Hound even took over her sofa!!! (Sorry about that:-) Thanks again for making our dogs feel so welcomed.

First time booking with Sam, and him and his wife were awesome to work with! Straight forward reliable communication made coordinating drop-off and pick-up a breeze. Their yard was nice and big and their house was so cute inside. I could tell my dogs felt right at home. We loved receiving daily photos/videos from Sam. 10/10 experience. Will definitely be booking with them in the future! Worth every penny!

Jonathan was great with our 15 year old maltipoo! He was attentive and followed our dog’s daily routine. It’s clear that he genuinely loves dogs and he is very well priced and easy to talk to. He sent pictures and updates regularly, which made us feel at ease, especially since we’ve never hired anyone to watch our dog before. We would definitely book him again.

We can’t recommend Tyler enough! He was incredibly accommodating when we had a last-minute cancellation and needed to find a sitter quickly. He was so flexible with our scatterbrained mindset during the rush, which we truly appreciated. His resident pup, Odie, is a total sweetheart, and it was great knowing our dog had such a fun buddy to hang out with. Tyler is very kind, and we felt completely comfortable leaving our pup with him, knowing he wouldn't be left alone for too long and had such a caring guardian.
Maggie was an incredible dog sitter. Our dog loves smaller dogs & with her little Ollie poo it was a match made in heaven. There's plenty of space in the home, there is a back patio. Plenty of places to take him for a walk. We did an initial meet and greet that was like we were all old pals. The photos and videos were perfect and I loved there was no pressure to respond to each one. Give Maggie a go and your dog will have a great time.

Kimberly was very patient with our puppy, Cooper, even though he was pretty terrible for his first time being watched by someone other than us. She took the time to explain some helpful ways to better manage his behavior, which we appreciated. We won’t be back for another stay until he’s better behaved, but we’re grateful for her patience and guidance during this first experience.

Hanna was amazing! She watched our two pups for two weeks while we were out of the country. We were so grateful she could board them because we live up in the foothills and our home isn’t very convenient for home sitting. We felt so comfortable with and confident in her abilities and her attention to detail. For a portion of our trip we didn’t have cell service and I was never nervous for our doggos, knowing Hanna could handle anything that might come up. One of our dogs is on multiple medications for anxiety and Hanna handled her needs perfectly. Both dogs seemed happy and healthy and well cared for after our return.

The best dog sitter I've ever had. Super communicative, had a fun house with lots of dogs and a big yard with dog door. I know she took great care of my boisterous lab mix and treated him like he was her own. She took him to off-leash dog parks/hiking/swimming, etc. He was super happy and tired when I picked him up. Very reliable, definitely recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
