“Cannot say enough wonderful things about Doby! She watched our dog Luna with such incredible care, making sure to provide plenty of updates along the way. She gave Luna tons of walks and clearly took the responsibility of caring for a dog seriously. It was stressful for us to leave her at only 10 months and I would absolutely choose Doby to watch her again! Thank you!!!!”

“Erik was great! Kept me updated about Schuster, sending pictures periodically. When Schuster came home, he was tuckered out and it was clear he had a great time.”

“Porche was amazing! She met my dog before watching her and took such great care of her al week. She watched a few other dogs and went above and beyond to make sure the dogs all got along. She sent regular updates and my dog was very happy when I dropped her off and picked her up. I definitely hope to use Porche again!”

“Sophie was kind communicative and clearly took great care of Paige! I got daily updates and Sophie is very quick to reply and overall very warm. I will have Paige stay with her again!”

“Nicole was absolutely amazing with buddy! She was flexible and handled a last minute schedule change and she was incredibly communicative throughout the whole stay, keeping my mind at ease. I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Leah, Bailey and Lincoln are the best. ❤️ Super kind and caring peeps (and pup!) who took excellent care of Pax, were very responsive and even sent a couple of videos for what was a very short stay. Will ? book again! ?”

“Daniela takes great care of our golden Russel! Her and David spoil him with walks and playtime. I love that they always provide updates and photos on how he’s doing too. We’ve been using them since Russell was a puppy and couldn’t recommend them more!”

“Olivia, Ryan, and Archie were the absolute best! They were attentive, sent photos and videos every day without me asking, and my pup came home ready for a big nap from all the fun he had. I couldn’t recommend Olivia and Ryan more. We will certainly be back!!”

“Koda appeared to have a good time staying with Juan & Ruby. They were both enthusiastic to watch Koda and Juan assured me that she was going to have fun while staying with them. Juan sent me a photo everyday of Koda and kept in touch. Yes. I would recommend Juan and Ruby”

“Madison was amazing!!!! She gave me a ton of updates and pics throughout the visit and kept me posted on how my girls were eating and pooping. She also gave my girls plenty of car rides, walks and snuggles! I would highly recommend her!”

“Makayla took great care of my dog Enzo who is a hyper cattle dog mix. He came home happy and tired after playing with her dogs for a long weekend. We will definitely use her again!”

“Blu was an excellent host for our small dog Leo. Took him on daily walks and administered his medications. Great communicator, and even watched him an extra night due to our flight being delayed. Will definitely refer her and hopefully she’ll watch our dog again!”

“My dog isn't easy to take care of. She cute and has so much love to give but has soooooo much energy it completely drains me. Chad was amazing with her and I loved getting the daily updates and pictures of her. Also absolutely loved that he took heron walks and got her to enjoy playing in the water. I would definitely rebook with Chad in the future. I know Aspen would love that as well.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edgewater
Kayla was great with Lily! She took great care of her and provided helpful updates and was willing to help with her medications as well! Lily liked her stay too and I was able to relax knowing she was well taken care of would recommend and I will definitely reach out again!

Emily and her partner were absolutely amazing with Harvest while I was away on a business trip! I received regular daily updates with tons of photos, which gave me complete peace of mind. Harvest and their dog Dale also got along great and had a blast together. They took excellent care of Harvest, including tending to a small sore on his foot and kept me well informed. To top it off, she was incredibly understanding and accommodating when my flight home got delayed. I highly recommend them and will 100% have them watch Harvest again! 🩷

We had the pleasure of having Rachel and Rob watch our little Katie again, and we couldn’t be happier! Katie is usually attached to just me and my boyfriend, so it says a lot that she warmed up to them so quickly. From all the photos and updates they sent, it was easy to see how happy, comfortable, and well cared for she was. I always try to bring Katie with me when I travel, but when that’s not possible, Rachel and Rob are always my first choice. Knowing she’s in such loving and trustworthy hands gives us complete peace of mind. We can’t recommend them enough.

Miranda and Sebastian took amazing care of our dog - so much so I don’t think he wanted to leave when we picked him up. They handled his quirks and medications flawlessly, and we could tell he was so happy and comfortable at their home (a miracle for this anxious dog)! Great communication and flexibility when our flight was delayed. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
