I work a flexible job and am able to schedule time within my day to take your dog for a walk, to the park, and/or give lots of pets and love!! I would love to practice some training techniques that I am learning in your pup too!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large fenced in yard that is dog safe as well as a dog proofed home! I can crate your dog or whatever is needed. Ideally if your dog stays with me, I’d like to keep it as similar to their home life as possible! My dog has become a great guide and helper for our shy or nervous foster dogs, and I have the ability to separate them if possible.

Information Shannon H. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know about your dogs behaviors and limitations. I am interested in helping you work through some behavioral concerns, and am not fearful of a challenge!
A typical day
I love to start the day with a nice long walk. We then spend a lot of time in the backyard playing around! I like to use training games to also help your dog exercise their brain. I try to take my dog on a hike at least weekly, and would love to bring yours along with!

Pet care experience
Dogs have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, they’re just my people. I currently have a 32lb Mini Australian Shepherd I’ve raised and trained from the start, so when you say your dog is “a lot,” I genuinely take that as a compliment. Beyond my own pup, I’m on my 5th foster dog, and I gravitate toward the ones others find challenging, the nervous, anxious, or reactive dogs that just need someone with patience and a steady presence. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a shut-down dog finally come out of their shell. I have a growing passion for dog training and am constantly reading, researching, and putting new skills into practice with my own dog and every foster that comes through my door. It’s something I take seriously and love getting better at every day. My friends and family have made me their go-to sitter not just because I’ll love their dog like my own, but because I bring confidence and calm to every dog I meet, regardless of size, breed, or personality. Honestly, my goal is to meet and care for as many dogs as possible, so your pup is already welcome here. I can’t wait to meet your dog, and hey, you too! 🐾

Reviews

We were nervous to leave our 10 month old pup, who has some reactivity and anxiety, but he had such a great time with Shannon! She provided us with lots of updates and made sure our pup had a great time!

Shannon is always so reliable and leaves detailed reviews which I enjoy!

Shannon and her partner were great with our pup. Sent many updates, were very patient and treated her as their own.

They’re amazing!! They took great care of my furball dog, Harry. Harry loved snuggling and playing with their pups. I appreciated the cute videos and pics. This was my first experience on Rover and I so happy I got so lucky to have found Shannon right away. Harry played so hard all weekend that he asleep as soon as he got home. He’s an only child and I think after seeing how much fun he had all weekend with their pups, he might need a little brother.
