“Our dog Mika had a great time with Jan and Patrick. They're wonderful and caring dog people. We enjoyed seeing daily photo updates, and felt like Mika was in good hands. She came back happy and energized :)”

“Jacque watched our senior dog who had recently become blind and needed insulin shots. She welcomed our dog and at dropoff I had no worries about leaving for vacation and that my special needs dog was well cared for. I look forward to now feeling comfortable to plan more trips because I know I'll have a great place for my dog to go.”

“Leaving our doodle Juni is never easy because she’s our baby, but Yumiko gave us complete peace of mind. She took wonderful care of her for 9 days over the Fourth of July, sending thoughtful updates and photos twice a day, taking her on multiple walks, and giving her so much love and attention. We especially appreciated that she stayed home with the dogs during the fireworks so they would feel safe and comfortable. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup. We highly recommend Yumiko and will absolutely book with her again!”

“Kysseria and Debb great with our fur baby Quintin. They communicated with us regularly and we're able to accommodate the time we needed. Pictures were sent and he seemed very content. Thank you.”

“I felt my dog was in great care with Jaime. I received updates with pictures everyday and know that my dog got several very long walks, which I know he loved. I would board my dog with her again!”

“My dog had so much fun playing with Elisha’s dog! She is wonderful, she took the time to really get to know both of us and sent me lots of updates so I never had to worry about my boy. Her house and yard are also very clean and dog-friendly. I will absolutely be rebooking with her!”

“Taylor and Daniel were so good with my pup over a long weekend! They sent lots of pictures and updates which is always great. Will definitely continue to have them watch him!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and lived with many different types of dogs as well. I a’m used to large and small dogs that need extra attention. Like senior dogs that need extra potty breaks and medication needs. I’m very used to curious dogs that get into food and things they should not be in, having a 95lb senior lab. I work from home so I can give frequent on the hour if not more often potty breaks. I have a fenced in yard. I have a lab, Tucker who is wonderful with dogs of all size because he minds his business and cares about food and naps only. I can offer daily walks multiple times a day, potty breaks outside in our large fenced in yard. Hikes as well on the weekend if needed or taking to an open space dog park. Great with more attention need dogs again like seniors especially if they need meds. I’ve been using rover for years for when I’m out of town with my dog Tucker so I know what makes a great rover. Good communication, videos and photos. Let me know how often you’d like updates. I always love when I pick Tucker up from a rover and he’s sad for a few days after because he had a wonderful time on his little vacation, that’s the goal for me, ensure your dog had a vacation! I work from home and so I can let them out as often as they need to go how many walks a day they need when I do run errands it’s literally writhing 5-10 minutes of the house. I love going on walks or hikes so if you have a dog that needs walks often or needs to go to the dog park or go on hikes that is something I love to do, especially since my senior dog can’t do it as much I do miss doing that. I have a fenced in yard. I work from home. I can go on daily walks as often as needed. Potty breaks throughout the day as often as needed. I have a senior lab so I am very used to high need animal care. He is also a lab so he has put me through it, if you know you know, I am very used to high energy, curious, needing additional attention dogs. I’ve watched my family and friends dogs, different sizes from small 10 to 15 pound dogs to larger hundred pound dogs as well. My dog does very well with small and larger dogs. He is a very sweet old man. He minds his business and only cares about humans, treats and naps. I provide photos and video updates throughout the day and updates on how you dog is doing.
“Kimberly was so wonderful and super communicative which we so so appreciate since our pup has epilepsy and requires a little extra attention. She was so kind and loving towards our pup. Would definitely recommend having her sit your pups!!”

“Eric and Bee were great with our golden retriever. They were communicative and clearly showed him a fun and loving stay. We will certainly be happy to leave him in their hands again, highly recommended.”
“Highly recommend! Our baby received excellent care and attention. Kyle was professional, kind, and kept us updated with messages and photos. It was clear our dog was in great hands. We will definitely use their services again when we come back to Denver!!”

“Samantha took care of my aging terrier over the Xmas holiday. She sent lots of pics, and my dog seemed happy and well-fed (she’s a fussy eater) when I picked her up. My return flight was delayed and Samantha was accommodating with the timing.”

“I had a last minute trip and Gage was able to help out big time. He sent pics, took her on some hikes, and I came back to a very happy pup. I'd definitely use Gage again!”

“I feel so incredibly fortunate to have found Lynn and John!! My 5 month old puppy had not been apart from me since I got her and so I was super anxious to think of leaving her with someone else. Lynn and John alleviated my fears immediately and they loved her as their own. I got constant pictures and updates and it allowed me to enjoy my vacation willow has found her home away from home and she hopes she gets to come back soon. 🫶🏻🐾💜”

“Our pup had the best time with Ashley and Jeremy. They were incredibly responsive and flexible. I received multiple pictures setting our minds at ease that our dog was being well taken care of and socialized! Would absolutely leave our dog with Ashley and Jeremy again.”

“Brian was able to accommodate my pup relatively last minute over the holidays, which was great. My pup came home tired and happy. Brian’s dog Maeve is also super sweet!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Federal Heights
Yumiko has watched Juni several times now and she is always amazing. She sends updates and pictures throughout the day, so we always know Juni is happy and having fun. She goes above and beyond, like the time she noticed Juni seemed itchy and gave her a bath without being asked, or when she cooked up Juni’s ground beef food because I wasn’t able to prep it ahead of time. Juni also gets to hang out with other doodles, including her own two resident doodles, so it’s basically a fun playdate every time. On top of all that, Yumiko and her husband are just the nicest people. She is always our first choice for Juni, and we can’t recommend her enough!

Jamie and Michael were fantastic sitters for our anxious pup, Nori. They were understanding of his many quirks and sent multiple updates/pictures throughout his stay. Nori definitely made himself at home when he was there. He even went back for more goodbye pets when we picked him up which is rare. We'll definitely be using them again in the future!

Jill was absolutely amazing! This was our first time using Rover, and we were definitely nervous about leaving our dogs with someone new, but she made the entire experience completely stress-free. She sent us daily pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind and allowed us to actually relax and enjoy our vacation knowing they were in great hands. We came home to two happy pups! We would absolutely trust Jill with them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter. 😊

Laura was absolutely wonderful! She sent us daily updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She’s super friendly, responsive, and quick to answer any questions. When our flight was unexpectedly cancelled, she was incredibly accommodating and was able to extend our dogs’ stay an extra day. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to use Laura again in the future!

Paris was great in watching Rocky during my extended vacation! It’s always difficult for me to leave Rocky for even a weekend, let alone almost 2 weeks! Paris and her kids were very loving with Rocky while I was away, they sent daily updates and was easy to tell they took great care of him. I’ll be returning for my future pet-sitting needs!!

Sara was absolutely incredible, she welcomed Banjo right in and made him feel safe and at ease. She kept me updated with pics the entire time and just has the best personality. I highly highly recommend her for all your doggy needs, she’s the only person I’ll be booking with from here forward.

Jasmin is absolutely amazing, my pups have gone and hung out with her for multiple boardings and they absolutely love her! She takes amazing care of them, and they are a bit of a handful so that's saying a lot. Communication is awesome as well. Genuinely one of the best Rovers I've ever used, couldn't ask for more!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
