“Charissa was wonderful with my dog Cora. She sent lots of updates and photos of my dog having a good time and checked with me about things if she had questions. I felt so happy to have found Charissa!”

“Leaving our doodle Juni is never easy because she’s our baby, but Yumiko gave us complete peace of mind. She took wonderful care of her for 9 days over the Fourth of July, sending thoughtful updates and photos twice a day, taking her on multiple walks, and giving her so much love and attention. We especially appreciated that she stayed home with the dogs during the fireworks so they would feel safe and comfortable. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup. We highly recommend Yumiko and will absolutely book with her again!”

“Our dog had the best time staying with Meghan and Hakon! They made our time away from our pup easy with updates, photos, and genuine care for our dog. We felt confident she was in good hands!”

“Maria and Ron were awesome. They took great care of Ruby while I was away; they took her on lots of walks and played with her to her heart's content. You can tell they love dogs; would definitely book again!”

“Leeann is the best dog care taker! So kind, loving, and communicative. Thank you so much Leeann for caring for our Max for an entire week. We will definitely be frequently of yours!”

“Kimberly, Sean, and their kids are awesome! They have watched Millie multiple times, and every time we drop her off, she sprints to their door so excited she forgets all about us 😂 I feel completely at ease whenever Millie is with them.”

“We had 2 hours notice when we started looking on rover! Anita was so fast to respond and so accommodating it really put us at ease. Not only was she responsive and communicative in the booking process, but in the 30ish hours she was caring for our dogs, we got multiple pictures and videos of play time, walks, and sleeping soundly. Hands down best experience we have had with a boarder, we will definitely be repeat customers.”

“Oakley had such a great stay with Jessica & Teryn he didn’t want to leave! They took great care of him and he loved playing with their sweet dog Shila. We will definitely book with them again!”

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life — my very first pet was a poodle named Poodle, and I was two years old. Over the decades I've cared for dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, fish, hermit crabs, hamsters, and gerbils, so whatever your pet needs, there's a good chance I've been there before. I spent nearly 30 years running a licensed home daycare in Westminster, which means I know how to keep a structured, safe, nurturing environment — the same qualities that make for exceptional pet care. Patience, consistency, and genuine attentiveness aren't new skills for me; they've been my full-time job for most of my adult life. I recently said goodbye to my large dog and my cat, both to old age. I still share my home with Dobby, my sweet senior Chihuahua mix, who is as gentle and welcoming as they come. Honestly, the house feels quieter without a full crew of animals in it — and that's exactly what brought me to Rover. I miss having pets to love and care for, and pet sitting feels like the perfect way to fill that space while giving your fur babies a warm, experienced home away from home. Westminster has been my home for nearly 30 years, and I'm excited to serve the pets and families right here in my community. My home has a fully fenced yard with plenty of space for dogs to roam, explore, and play. I love getting outside and have several parks within easy reach for walks and exercise. I've cared for pets at every life stage — puppies, adults, and seniors — and am comfortable with a variety of needs including feeding routines, medications, and age-specific care. I'm a homebody who is fully present and attentive throughout the day. I'm up by 4:30am, which means early morning walks are something I genuinely enjoy — not just a checkbox. From there the day is structured around your pet's needs, with a balance of activity and rest. I take an afternoon walk as well as an evening wind-down walk, and my day wraps up around 9pm. Potty breaks happen as needed throughout. Your pet will have plenty of playtime, plenty of snuggle time, and a calm, consistent rhythm from morning to night. Your pet's safety is always front of mind. When we're out of the house I stay aware of our surroundings and avoid any situations that could cause stress or danger. At home, my large fenced backyard gives dogs room to roam freely without worry. I allow pets on furniture and in bed if that's what they're used to at home — my goal is to make them feel as comfortable here as they do with you.
“Nicole and her family were awesome sitters for our dog Harley. I've concluded she does not like boarding facilities and this was a great fit. Harley enjoyed having a family to spend time with, complete with kids! She also enjoyed playing with Nicole's dog who has a great temperament and would probably get along with any dog. Nicole was easy to communicate with, provided updates/pics and was flexible. Harley received plenty of walks, even did a 5K! I will definitely be using Nicole in the future and will recommend her to others.”

“Ashley and Jeremy took great care of Chilli while we were away. They gave us updates and sent us pictures of her every day. She came back home a tired and happy dog! We’ll happily book with them again when we go out of town next”

“Megan and Chris did a great job taking care of Murray! They took him on walks, provided picture updates each day and murray came home happy and not overly tired (like he does when he stays at a kennel). Great experience!”

“Eric, Bee, and of course Clover too, are fantastic sitters. I feel incredibly comfortable leaving my husky with them and get constant updates and photos. It always looks like play time and walks are frequent and my pup is happy and healthy when I come pick him up. Highly recommended!”

“Paul and Delia were wonderful. They sent lots of pics of our pup and kept in great communication. They even groomed her on the house and were accommodating when our flight was delayed. We appreciate their care and kindness!”

“We feel so lucky to have found Samantha! This was our first time using Rover, and the first time home-boarding our dog Juju in the three years since we've adopted her. Juju is an extremely smart and sensitive dog and can be especially wary of men... thankfully Samantha, her husband, and their dog Ozzy ended up being the perfect family for her. They have a beautiful home and a great backyard where the pups could play, and Samantha's experience working with dogs at the Humane Society really shone through— it was clear Juju settled in quickly and felt comfortable to be her silly self. Samantha sent photos and stories almost daily, which was the perfect frequency for us. She is definitely at the top of our list for dog sitting now, and it's really freeing to know we can travel without worrying about Juju.”

“Jamie was so great with Cooper! Sent regular updates and walked him even though it’s 5 degrees outside! Her pup Chili is the sweetest too. She was also very accommodating when my flight got delayed, which I really appreciated!”

“This was my first time using Jed, and he was referred to me by a friend. He had a couple other dogs at his place which was great for my Leo so he could have friends to play with. He sent me pictures of Leo throughout the weekend which I loved so I knew he was doing great. When we first arrived to drop Leo off he had us introduce him to the other dogs to make sure they all got along. He had a big yard wit lots of toys for them. He also had a place specific for the dogs in his house and he even had extra kennels that our Leo was able to use. Overall, our experience was great.”

“We are so excited we found Amelia and her awesome boarding facility. It’s not always easy to find the right place for our large dogs but Amelia’s place was perfect! The rooms are large and comfortable and provided plenty of space for our two, 100lb dogs to be comfortable together. They had a nice accessible outdoor space too. Mostly we loved getting photos of the dogs running in the large indoor arena. We could tell they were happy and comfortable and had a great time running and playing. Amelia was also very sweet with our young daughter who was a little scared and tearful to leave her dogs behind. Amelia made sure she knew the dogs would be well cared for. We’ll certainly be back! This is a wonderful place to take your dogs!”

“Tony was great and was able to accommodate my dog’s special needs. My pup loved playing with Louie, and Tony is communicative and great with our dog. We felt our dog was in good hands!”

Yumiko has watched Juni several times now and she is always amazing. She sends updates and pictures throughout the day, so we always know Juni is happy and having fun. She goes above and beyond, like the time she noticed Juni seemed itchy and gave her a bath without being asked, or when she cooked up Juni’s ground beef food because I wasn’t able to prep it ahead of time. Juni also gets to hang out with other doodles, including her own two resident doodles, so it’s basically a fun playdate every time. On top of all that, Yumiko and her husband are just the nicest people. She is always our first choice for Juni, and we can’t recommend her enough!

Sarah and Clay are an absolute delight! My dog was exhausted after a weekend with then which is a great indicator that he was well loved and taken care of with them. Communication was excellent, they sent pictures and updates along the way. Absolutely would book with the again!

Judy took wonderful care of our dog and we had a great experience start to finish. Judy is very calm and welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the start. We know our dog was well cared for while we were out of town and we hope to book Judy again in the future! A+++++

Kellan is an outstanding host and very personable with a comfortable home, back yard + doggie door. His pup Yoshi is very friendly, always smiling and paired as great company with my dog. Highly recommend Kellan and I'd even host Yoshi myself if I had the opportunity.

Juan was fantastic and took great care of my dog while I was away. He was flexible with timing, quick to respond to inquiries and provided regular status updates that was a great relief to me while I was on the road. He really cares and gives dogs the special attention they deserve. My dog got along with him really well and I felt at peace knowing she was well taken care of and getting the exercise she needs. Would highly recommend and will have him take care of my dog in the future.

Margaret and her partner did a wonderful job taking care of and showing love to my boy while I was away. She sent me daily updates and pictures of what they were doing. I felt at ease knowing he was well taken care of. She’s great with communicating. I will definitely use Margaret again in the future!

Leeann saved the day for a last minute trip. Rosie seemed to feel right at home as soon as we arrived and was a happy girl when I picked her up. Leeann kept me updated, was great to communicate with and sent plenty of pictures of my girl which kept my mind at ease. Will absolutely be booking with Leeann for my future boarding needs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
