“Krista was absolutely amazing! My cat was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and I am currently figuring out which medication works for her and making sure she eats enough. I was a bit nervous to leave for a trip during this time. Krista was the best cat sitter I could have asked for. She was extremely communicative, sent tons of photos and videos, and even made a daily log about my cat’s meal times, medication timing, and how she was doing each day. I would rebook with her and recommend her in a heartbeat.”
“Hanna took good care of our cat and our home while we were away for a few days. Our kitty seemed to love her, she texted lots of photos, and the house was clean when we arrived home.”

“Kayli went above and beyond and made my dogs feel safe and comfortable. She is a great sitter and I definitely trust my dogs are well taken care of with her. She sent lots of pictures throughout and checked in a bunch which was really nice. 😊”

“Wow! What an amazing kitty and doggie sitter. I was highly impressed with Katy’s communication, her photos, and that she came over to meet my pup prior to the appointment. I came back to two well cared for pets and the house was spotless. I’m very happy.”

“Christy was great! Our pup was clearly happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and the house was left spotless when we returned. It was obvious that Christy not only kept to our dog's routine but also gave her plenty of love and attention. We will definitely use her again! :)”

“Rachael was so great! She was extremely communicative with lots of updates and pictures. It was clear my babies were happy and well taken care of! We will definitely be using Rachael again!”

“Katelyn is very sweet. Came by for a meet and greet a few days before she stayed over and took care of my 8.5 year old dog, Cooper. She is very gentle and quiet and animals respond well to that. She sent me updates over the weekend on how Cooper was doing. I came home to a happy dog and a neat and tidy place, I would book her again!!”

“Kristen was perfect! She stayed with my dog, and his temperament was so much better when I returned vs leaving him with friends, or having a neighbor kid come over for an hour or two a day. Do not hesitate to book Kristen for your next pet sitting needs!”

“Kristen was so amazing!! She came through on such short notice when my repeat sitter was no longer available. She was knowledgeable about dog behavior, which is important to me. We did the meet and greet to ensure everyone got along and she stayed at my place for 3 nights & 4 days with my 2 dogs & 1 cat. I got photo updates and she even went above and beyond when my elevator at my complex unexpectedly broke down and climbed 4 flights of stairs to take my dogs to potty. I felt so bad but she was a trooper. She’s a very calming presence for your puppies and was very sweet and personable. I’d trust her again with my babies!!”

“Hannah was absolutely amazing! She took such wonderful care of our pets and kept us updated while we were away, giving us complete peace of mind. We came home to happy, well-loved pets and couldn’t be more grateful. We highly recommend Hannah and will definitely book with her again!”

“Gina was great..responsive, attentive and got the pups out regularly for their walks. She went above and beyond when one dog had a tick outbreak and took them to the vet for care. We got regular pics and videos and the pups were happy when we got home. Would definitely request time with Gina again.”

“This was our second booking with Daniela and again she took great care of Cleo and was communicative, kind, and professional. We will definitely use her services again in the future!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Megan! She came to visit a few days in advance of our trip to meet our pets. Communication during our trip was great! She sent lots of fun texts and pictures updating us on how the animals were doing. I highly recommend Megan and will definitely reach out to her for future petsitting.”

“Nice is amazing. Our sweet Jax seemed so comfortable with her, which put us at ease given his age and the fact that we were so far away from home. She sent a bunch of pictures and updates; we never worried once, which was so comforting. Nice treated our home and our dog as if they were hers. Next time we plan a vacation, we’re definitely contacting Nice!”

“Trish took great care of our pups. She sent pictures and made sure to follow their routine. Pups were happy when we returned and the house was clean! We will definitely have her back!”

“Tom was awesome as always, taking great care of two large dogs, home, plants, mail and packages while we were gone for 1 week. Daily updates and pics from Tom are the norm for his open communication style. Highly recommend Tom!”

“Repeat customer here! Kayla once again went above and beyond watching our pup while we were on vacation. She played with him tons, took him on walks and even brought him some puppy toys. We are so grateful for the TLC Kayla provides our dog Louie and will continue to book with her and recommend her to all! :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Broomfield
Stephanie was so amazing. We had a last minute booking request and she went above and beyond to fulfill not only all of their basic needs but even to make sure they had a great time. Super communicative, daily pictures - we had no worries being gone. Highly recommend!!

Justine did an excellent job of taking care of our cat Hilde. She showed up when she said she would, did everything we asked, regularly sent us pictures, and left the house in good shape. In addition, she navigated several additional challenges caused by the Juneteenth Festival happening three blocks from the house on the weekend and street sweeping on our side of the street on the following Tuesday. We were very happy and will use her again.
Shelby did a fantastic job with our pets! Our big dog, Gator, is an anxious guy but Shelby did a great job navigating him. We have a cat that needs to be medicated everyday and she always made sure to communicate with us that he got his meds. Thank you for your kindness towards all our animals and also our house while we were away!

Kasey was incredible. The first evening, there was a house issue. She handled everything great. Used emergency phone numbers, all was handled. Kasey updated me with texts and pictures while I was gone. Prompt, friendly, doesn’t panic under stressful situations…very reliable. This was my first time using Kasey to care for my cat, but I will definitely continue to call on her when needed. Thanks Kasey! You are so much appreciated.
Connor did a great job watching our house and our two dogs for over a week while we were out of the country. He was gracious enough to come do a repeat meet and greet of our new pup since it had been awhile since he had sat for us before. He left our house spotless and followed all our instructions - even went above and beyond to put on our dog's favorite show (nature cams, obviously) while crated. We would absolutely book with him again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Broomfield on Rover is $48.15 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Broomfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Broomfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Broomfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Broomfield. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
