“Amy did a fantastic job taking care of my babies :) she walked Bee, made sure she took her medicine, and gave them both plenty of snuggles. I would absolutely rebook if needed <3”

“Maria took such great care of my pups and my home while I was away. She’s very communicative and truly went above and beyond while caring for my babes. I look forward to her watching them again in the future knowing they’re in great hands!”

“Rosie is awesome!! She took great care of our 8 month old puppy and our home while we were out of town. She sent lots of pictures and had great communication throughout the stay. She would check in with little videos and pictures of our pup and kept us in the loop about timing and everything. We did not have to worry or wonder at all with her here. And when we returned, our house was super clean even though it had snowed and our backyard was muddy. Above and beyond. Thank you, Rosie!”

“Erika was wonderful with our old guy. She took great care of Bubba, gave him meds 4 times a day & did his workouts with him. She made our trip more enjoyable knowing he was in such great hands.”
About: While growing up, I have had cats and dogs my whole life! Ranging from small dogs to larger dogs, I am comfortable with anything in between. I have done pet sitting throughout the neighborhood, but I would love to have more opportunities. Animals are just the best. I work in Broomfield Tues-Thurs at the office from 8-5. However, on Mondays and Fridays I work from home and have a very flexible schedule so I can definitely make time to pop in and do an in-house check in and plenty of dog walks! I am usually pretty flexible on the weekends as well! I am very respectful in someone else’s home and ensure safety for your pet since that’s what I would want from anyone watching my fur baby! I follow instructions and would never go astray. I like to go on long walks and I would love to have company during them!
“Erin was awesome! She took great care of all three furry babies and kept me updated the whole time so I felt good being away. I especially loved the report cards, such a nice touch!”

“Patricia is just amazing! Her updates and pics were great, she left my home very clean and neat, and stayed later than originally planned to ensure my dog wouldn’t be left alone too long after my flight delays.”
“Nice was an awesome dog sitter for my pitbull! She was very responsive and kept me up to date with daily messages throughout the stay. I would highly recommend and use her again for future pup sitting! :)”

“Braelyn was so awesome. She clearly loves animals and took such good care of our house. Everything was clean, bedding was washed, and the dogs seemed so relaxed when we got back. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be booking again :)”

“Alicia is excellent! Watched our dogs over a weekend for us and took them on multiple walks, played with them in our backyard, brushed them, and sent plenty of update of pictures so we could see how much fun they were having with her. We would love to have her watch our pups again the next time we are out of town!”

“So glad that Carissa was available to watch my babies for a long weekend! She was great with updates and pictures and I felt really good knowing she was there with them. She took wonderful care of my babies and my home, leaving my place so clean and nice. She’s a gem and I will absolutely use her again! Thank you Carissa! 🙏”

“Cindy is amazing sitter. She kept us well informed and took excellent care of our dogs walking them at least twice a day and exercising them out in the yard as well. Communicates well and in a timely manner. She was an overnight sitter for us and took care of our house as well. We will definitely be using her in the future.”

“Maribel took such great care of our dog and home while we were away for a week. She sent daily photos and updates and we came home to happy pup and a cared for home! We will definitely be requesting her again in the future :)”

“April house-sat for me for a week and took great care of my two dogs—they clearly enjoyed having her around. She was also thoughtful and attentive with details around the house; I had an Eldorado water delivery scheduled while I was away, and she made sure the empty bottles were out in time for pickup (which is more than I can say for myself 😅). I would happily book April again.”

“Mckinzie treated our dogs so well! They are high energy pups and she took them for many walks and hikes during her stay. She sent lots of photos of them and left our house very clean. She also was intentional at the meet and greet to understand how to give our dogs the best care. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Paige did a fantastic job house sitting our dog! She was in touch with frequent updates and pictures and gave us so much peace of mind while we traveled. She is extremely responsible and took great care of both our dog and apartment. We would not hesitate to recommend her and plan to use her services again. Thanks Paige!!”

“Isabel was wonderful! She took very good care of our kitty while my husband and I were out of town for our wedding! She sent updates, pictures and went above and beyond! I highly recommend her for any pet sitting and house sitting needs 💙👍🏼”

“Branham did a wonderful job watching Bowie! I was so impressed by his great communication, providing updates on how he was doing, and making sure my house was clean when I came home. Plus he got a bonus play friend with Bandit, which I know he loved. I will be booking again! :) thank you!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Twin Lakes
Lauren was an incredible sitter for Stella during our honeymoon. We were out of the country and had so much peace of mind and reassurance. She did a great job updating us and we could tell our dog was doing really well, thanks for Lauren. We are so grateful!

Kat was great with our two large dogs (one is a puppy). She left the house in great shape and the dogs seemed happy and well cared for when we got home. She has a real love for animals and you can really tell that she loves taking care of them! We would definitely recommend Kat.

John & Chantal were fantastic. Last minute before we left our dog had to get some pills and a cone from a medical procedure and they took fantastic care of him with pills and keeping us up to date with his healing process. They also doted on our cat and gave them both lots of love and cuddles while we were away.

She took excellent care of our dogs, and we couldn't be happier with her service. When we got home, our dogs were incredibly happy and clearly well cared for. She always kept us updated with photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She even took the time to do a meet-and-greet visit beforehand and was very thoughtful and detail-oriented in everything she did. We will definitely hire her again and highly recommend her 100% to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Twin Lakes walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Twin Lakes maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Twin Lakes choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
