“Jeffery was great with our pets. He sent pictures every day and he let me know how they were doing. Our pup loves him from the first time they met to when Jeffery dropped off the key- Chip was always excited to see him!”

“Rosie is awesome!! She took great care of our 8 month old puppy and our home while we were out of town. She sent lots of pictures and had great communication throughout the stay. She would check in with little videos and pictures of our pup and kept us in the loop about timing and everything. We did not have to worry or wonder at all with her here. And when we returned, our house was super clean even though it had snowed and our backyard was muddy. Above and beyond. Thank you, Rosie!”

“Laura is always the best! We have anxious cattle dogs and we are actually able to enjoy our travel when she’s watching them! We can’t recommend her more highly!”

“Tineke is a great sitter and was able to stay at our house with our two dogs. She sent me a bunch of pictures and updates and followed all of our instructions. The dogs seemed happy and well cared for while we were gone and we will definitely book with her again!”

“Adyson is truly the best! She is always so kind, professional, and just overall so great with Minni! She always sends really great photos and videos with updates - we just appreciate her so much!”

“Trish took great care of our pups. She sent pictures and made sure to follow their routine. Pups were happy when we returned and the house was clean! We will definitely have her back!”

“Took great care of my animals and home. Lots of updates throughout the day. Made my vacation stress-free and I returned home to framed photos of my pets. Appreciated the extra effort! Great sitter.”

“Brandon was so amazing with our sweet pup. He was communicative, transparent, and took the best care of Kipper. Highly recommend, and will definitely be using again!”

“Kristen was there for us when we needed her. She stayed at the house to give the extra attention our multiple pets need to stay in their routines while we were gone for an extended weekend. And, she did it over a 'holiday'. She sent pictures, and it was obvious from their demeanor when we returned that they got the care they needed. I recommend Kristen.”

“Madison did an excellent job taking care of our dogs and cat! She sends photo and text updates 2x per day and kept this house clean while were away. She even sent us a group photo of our dogs dressed up for Xmas. So awesome! Would definitely book again. Mahalo Madison”

“Mandy was amazing! Her communication was fantastic--I received morning and evening updates and pictures. I felt like my pup was in very good hands! I will definitely be asking her to stay again! ❤️”

“Allison did a great job sitting for Mabel! She took great care of her and the house, communicated very well and we’d absolutely use her again in the future”

“Moriah took great care of our two Scotties while we were in New Zealand. It snowed once or twice and our sidewalks were clear. Our dogs were in great shape too and she also sent us pictures of them. We would welcome her again!”

“We loved Mallory! She followed my diva dog’s instructions with no complaint. I appreciated her sending lots of updates while I was gone to put me at ease. We’ll be having her back soon!”

“Maribel was wonderful - she was a great communicator, sent plenty of pictures & was so great with our animals when she came to meet them! We will be having her back & cannot recommend her enough. We know our pets were in great hands!”
“Katelyn is very sweet. Came by for a meet and greet a few days before she stayed over and took care of my 8.5 year old dog, Cooper. She is very gentle and quiet and animals respond well to that. She sent me updates over the weekend on how Cooper was doing. I came home to a happy dog and a neat and tidy place, I would book her again!!”

“Nicole did an amazing job watching my 9 w/o puppy and 5 y/o boy for the day. She was very responsive, worked around her schedule to accommodate me and came over to my house the week before for a meet and greet! She sent me a lot of photos and updates which made me feel so much more comfortable the first time leaving my puppy. A puppy is a lot of work and Nicole rose to the task, I would feel comfortable leaving my puppy with her any time. I highly recommend Nicole if you are looking for a reliable, caring and compassionate person to look after your pets.”

“Jacki is amazing! Our pups were so spoiled and I loved receiving all the updates. Our one dog needs to be won over as he is nervous with new people, but she was unphased and they quickly became best friends. Highly recommend!”

Elizabeth is the best! She watched our cat Panda and our dog Marley and was so attentive and kind. She followed our special care instructions (our cat needs medicine and our dog can’t use stairs). She communicated when she would arrive and leave and sent plenty of updates! Overall I was beyond happy and felt at ease while being away. She is really the best 😊
My wife and I have a blind husky who is very shy, Patricia has been patient with her and allowed her to open up on her time. This is the second time we have used Patricia and Kiara looks so much more comfortable every time she sends us a picture! I love how communicative she is and appreciate all the updates we get. A disabled pet can be hard to be away from, but when Patricia watches her we feel very comfortable in knowing she's getting properly taken care of and loved!

Erika did a wonderful job with my puppy. She was on time, communicative, sent videos and photos, followed care instructions, and my puppy was so happy to see her. Coordinating with Erika was very simple and she was super accommodating to my requests. I would definitely book her again.

Maria and her husband Omar took such amazing care of Odin! Exceptional communication, thoughtful updates, and total peace of mind knowing our pup was in good, experienced hands. They left our home spotless, too. We’ll definitely be calling them for future trips!

Brandon is the BEST! Our dog sitting hero, our favorite person, and our dog’s favorite person. We unexpectedly had to find a new dog sitter while we were out of the country and Brandon swooped in like our knight in shining armor and saved the day. We truly can’t say enough good things about him. He is communicative, thorough, responsible, detail-oriented, and genuinely loves dogs. Our dog is very anxious and Brandon went above and beyond by carefully administering her medication, keeping a close eye on her, and making sure she stayed safe and comfortable. We are beyond grateful for everything he did and would recommend him without hesitation. THANK YOU, BRANDON!

Miranda is so wonderful I almost want to gatekeep how great she is. She communicated so well with us before even our meet and greet and then confirming before our trip and the day before we were supposed to return. This was very helpful as we were of course super nervous about leaving our babies and overwhelmed with the trip in general. We did choose to board our youngest pup to keep the house less stressful for everyone and we think that was the perfect balance. Miranda was understanding that we had to order more bags for the liter robot and also helped us when we had our poop scoop service come and they needed the dogs contained for their visit. She even wrapped the pups in blankets and watched movies with them when it thundered to keep them calm. Coming home, our dogs were happy to see us but not in distress from our absence like they have been before. Usually they whimper and won’t leave our side for days. This time they were happy to see us but they were also very calm, like they knew they wouldn’t be alone for long. Our only regret is not having the chance to make our home more like a vacation for her while we were on our vacation. 💜

Nicole was amazing with our pup Echo and sent us regular updates and pictures. I also have a flight on my cancellation on my way home and she was so flexible with us and willing to stay late so that Echo was taken care of. She left the house immaculate and we will definitely be booking with her again in the future!

Abby is by far the best sitter we’ve had on the Rover app. She has watched our goldens twice now and both times she has been so professional, kind, and gentle with our dogs. Our dogs got sooo excited to see her the second time she came, remembering her right away. Abby has also been absolutely exceptional with their extra care needs. One of our dogs has separation anxiety, and Abby has been so understanding, soothing her when we leave and reporting on how she did when we return. We are so grateful we found Abby! Thank you for watching our crew!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westminster walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westminster maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westminster choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
