“We've used Jacqueline before and love having her take care of our pup! She is incredibly attentive and communicative—we especially love getting pictures and Jacqueline sends some of the best. She takes amazing care of our home and we never have to worry if Ollie is doing alright. Ollie had an emergency a few days prior to Jacqueline staying with her that required taking meds we hadn’t planned for. Jacqueline was super flexible coming into this sit — willing to give Ollie her meds and modify activities for what Ollie was able to do at that time.”

“Danielle took great care of our boys and apartment while we were away. She gave us daily updates and adapted quickly to the nuances of our dog and cat. We would be happy to have Danielle back over in the future!”

“Nadia was great with our dog Charlie! She was able to help us out on short notice, which we were so grateful for. And while we were gone, she was an excellent communicator, sharing photos of what she and Charlie were up to multiple times a day. We would definitely work with her again!”

“Amy did a fantastic job taking care of my babies :) she walked Bee, made sure she took her medicine, and gave them both plenty of snuggles. I would absolutely rebook if needed <3”

“Olivia is delightful and takes wonderful care of our 2 wonderful peculiar treeing walker coonhounds. We highly recommend her. She’s very responsible, caring and communicative. We feel very comfortable leaving our 2 with her. Having recently moved into the area our older pup is having a difficult time accumulating to the thunderstorms and is distressed much of the time. Olivia has no issue dealing with his stress and we feel grateful to have found her.”

“So glad that Carissa was available to watch my babies for a long weekend! She was great with updates and pictures and I felt really good knowing she was there with them. She took wonderful care of my babies and my home, leaving my place so clean and nice. She’s a gem and I will absolutely use her again! Thank you Carissa! 🙏”

“I am excited to hire Jenn again in the future. She kept my pets (2 dogs, 2 cats) safe and happy while we were out of town. Her communication was consistent and appreciated. My house was as clean as I left it. There was extra peace of mind knowing she is a veterinary technician. My furry family was in good hands! ❤️”

“Lara did an exceptional job of caring for our kitty, Finn. Making sure someone was with him when schedule changes came up, and working with us when we had a travel emergency as well. She is kind, caring, responsive and responsible. Highly recommend!”

About: I personally have 3 pets (one dog and two cats) and I absolutely love animals. I want more but that probably wouldn’t be so great for my bank account. I pet sit all the time for friends and family and love to do it. I used to be very active on Rover, and took a break for a while while I was in college, but I’m back and so excited to meet you and your fur baby! I am currently a sophomore in college but the semester is over until mid January so I have a lot of free time and thought this would be a fun way to make some extra money. I personally have a 6 year old golden retriever, Aspen. I’ve raised her since she was 8 weeks old, she is the rock in my life. She is a very docile and calm dog, and is well socialized with other animals. I live in an apartment so I take her on walks and to the dog park a few times a day. I mores recently adopted 2 cats as well, Ginger (orange tabby) and Rex (tuxedo cat). They are best friends and watching them play with a laser is one of my favorite forms of entertainment. They have been around other dogs and cats as well and are very nice to strangers. I also have experience with reptiles, fish, small mammals (hamsters, mice, bunnies, etc) I used to have a bearded dragon and bunnies when I was younger so I more or less am familiar with their diet/ environment.
“Haley did a great job watching my 4 month old puppy for a few days when I had to be in the office. He was happy and well cared for and she left my house exactly as she found it. I’d recommended her for any of your pet care needs!”

“Anna was great housesitting Ozzy and Coco! She was timely for meet and greets, sent advance communication, and made sure she thoroughly understood our instructions. Ozzy had stomach issues while she was here, and she took everything in stride! She also got some adorable photos of them!”

“Noelle was great! She’s very relaxed and our anxious dog trusted her immediately, which meant we were able to enjoy our trip without worry. She left our house very clean as well. We will definitely work with her again!”

“Taylor is awesome! I was going on vacation for a week and my other dog-sitter had to cancel. Taylor agreed to watch Shay for the week and was a wonderful house sitter! Taylor even stuck around for a few extra hours when it became unsure if our flight home was going to be canceled. Shaymus had a great time with her, and it seems like they played quite a bit because he was wiped out the whole next day after we came home! Would highly recommend her!!”

“Emily stayed at our house and watched our older dog, Charlie. We got back from a 10 day trip and the house looked cleaner than we left it and we could tell Charlie was well cared for. We got updates from Emily and lots of pictures. She reached out with questions to make sure she was taking good care of Charlie (who can be a bit temperamental at times). We will definitely look to use Emily in the future.”

“Stephany did a great job watching our dog, Laila, while we traveled home for the holidays. We just moved here so it was important to us to have someone stay with her while she was still adjusting to the new apartment. Stephany was very responsive, flexible, and communicative when caring for Laila. Stephany followed our care instructions and sent us plenty of updates and photos throughout her sitting. It was just what we needed to so we wouldn’t have to worry and we could enjoy our time with our family!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Commerce City
Jennifer was amazing! My dog is so anxious and stressed and Jennifer was able to sit with her and be with her and support my dog while I was away. She communicated all the time, took pictures, was regularly there for me and my dog! I love her, will def hire her again and use her again. Never felt better having someone watch my dog!
Kelsey was amazing! She stayed at our house for a long weekend and our senior pup was very well taken care of. Kelsey stayed in touch and gave plenty of updates and pictures (which we can never get enough of!) She is very quick to respond, took care of all our Pongos needs and kept our house very clean. I would absolutely recommend booking Kelsey!

Danielle was an excellent sitter for our two dogs. She did a helpful meet and greet with us around the time of booking, came over with overlap ahead of our trip, and was communicative throughout. Our dogs looked like they had a great time with her from pictures over the weekend away. I'd happily book and work with Danielle again.

We were so happy with having Ciana pet sit for us that we rebooked her again 2 weeks later! She was great with communication and sending us pics of our dog, Skye, while we were away! We came home to a very happy pup! We are looking forward to having Ciana pet sit for us again soon. 10/10 highly recommend

I cannot recommend Meeru enough! She was absolutely incredible with my medically complex senior dog and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She followed every single instruction perfectly, administered all medications without issue, and kept me constantly updated throughout the day. She sent the cutest pictures multiple times a day, which made being away from him so much easier. What really stood out to me was how attentive and proactive she was — she even noticed and brought an arising medical issue to my attention right away. Her level of care, communication, and attentiveness was beyond anything I could have hoped for. It’s so hard to trust someone with a senior dog who needs extra care, but she treated him like her own. I have honestly never felt more comfortable leaving him with someone until I met her. We are beyond grateful and will absolutely be booking with her again!

As always Anna was amazing with our 4 month old puppy, Luna. She was willing to help us out very last minute and saved me or my boyfriend from having to call off work. Our puppy is full of energy and can be a handful, but Anna never makes us feel bad for Luna not being as trained as we would like her to be yet. We always feel comfortable leaving Luna in her care, and know she will be taken care of.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Commerce City on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 8,981 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Commerce City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Commerce City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Commerce City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Commerce City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
