“Morgan has house sat a couple of times for me and been great! Really easy to work with, a good communicator and my dog is always well taken care of and happy!”

“Sophia watched my puppy Remy for a whole day while I was at work. She was more than happy to take care of all the puppy's needs and special requirements, and gave him plenty of exercise & games during the day. Sophia is very flexible with working on our schedule and great at offering suggestions with what's best for Remy. Looking forward to having her back again!”

“Thank you for taking such great care of Duke! I REALLY appreciate getting pictures, will definitely be in touch for the next time I need a sitter for him.”

“Lara did an exceptional job of caring for our kitty, Finn. Making sure someone was with him when schedule changes came up, and working with us when we had a travel emergency as well. She is kind, caring, responsive and responsible. Highly recommend!”

“Kristen was great and kept us updated especially cause we have a younger dog who is still learning and gets some anxiety. She was very nice and helpful. Thank you again!”

About: I don’t have any experience with senior animals but I am eager to learn more about the care that they need! I have three cats so I know how to care for animals with different personalities! I am currently job searching as I just finished up my degree in Kinesiology, but I always have time for furry friends. I make room in my schedule to work for Rover and engage with other animals besides my own! I can’t wait to meet your best friends! I would prefer for care to be provided in your home, but I also have a one bedroom apartment with plenty of room for cats to roam and lots of toys! I live near Cheesman Park which is perfect for dogs to run around and get some exercise!
“So glad that Carissa was available to watch my babies for a long weekend! She was great with updates and pictures and I felt really good knowing she was there with them. She took wonderful care of my babies and my home, leaving my place so clean and nice. She’s a gem and I will absolutely use her again! Thank you Carissa! 🙏”

“Ulysses watched our cat and dog in our home over Thanksgiving week. He was professional, a great communicator and the pets were happy and well cared for when we returned. He was thoughtful and proactive with communication and household cares. Thanks, Ulysses!”

“Natalie was great - loved the updates and pictures while I was away! And came back to a clean home and happy pup. Would definitely use her for house sitting again!”

“Gio did an amazing job taking care of our plants, pets, and home! He was extremely communicative, shared photos and updates, and went above and beyond what was necessary. He handled the task of watering my needy bonsai trees every day and was truly invested in taking care of the house and everything within it. I can’t recommend him enough!”

“Haley loved on our 3 pups while we were out of town and did such an amazing job! We had never gone through Rover before and Haley made everything so easy. We will be asking for her again!!”

“Jacque is such an amazing person! She’s always on time, she’s always so happy to see us and our pup. Our pup has separation anxiety and loved Jacque immediately. He usually follows us out the door on our way out but when Jacque is here he goes straight to the couch to snuggle up with her. We love her so much, so glad we found our forever sitter 🩷”

“This was our first time using Rover for a weekend trip, and having Brookelyn as our house sitter took such a weight off our shoulders. She communicated well, took great care of my girl, and sent photos throughout the weekend. Based on all the photos and videos sent to me, I can tell that my Luna loved her time with Brookelyn. I would absolutely recommend her to watch your babies! :)”

“Sunil provided excellent care for our 2 dogs while we were out on vacation. He was very attentive to detail with his pre-emptive checklist to make sure he had all the information he needed while caring for the dogs and was very communicative and sent us tons of pictures. I would highly recommend Sunil and am looking forward to booking with him again in the future”

“Garrett took wonderful care of our dogs, we will definitely use home again. Garrett was prompt and communicated well when we met to discuss our dogs. We have two boxers, one with more challenges than most. Garrett was very calm when meeting our dogs and slowly win over our more anxious dog. He sent picture and video updates from walks and throughout the day.”

“Lou was absolutely amazing! They kept me very updated the whole time I was away, sending lots of photos of my dog and their activities together. They are super kind and attentive, I can tell my dog was very well cared for. I couldn’t recommend Lou enough for your dog sitting needs :)”

“James did a FANTASTIC watching Hanz! He was super great at communication and updates on how things were going. He house sat and I think left the house cleaner than when I left. I really appreciated his service, would definitely rebook him again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Denver
Mandy was a 10/10 sitter, she took care of our herd of pets, giving them all the love, walks and food they need. She is an incredible communicator and our house looked spotless when we returned. All of our pets and the fish were so happy and healthy when we returned, we will absolutely be booking with her in the future. If you want someone who will treat your pets and house like their own, you should book with Mandy!!

Natalie and Mitchell were an absolutely joy to work with during a pet and house sitting book in this month. They were highly organized, communicative, kind, and most importantly, absolutely wonderful with my two dogs. I felt that they understood how best to meet their needs and keep me in the loop while I was traveling. I highly recommend working with them and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Rachel was wonderful! She took incredible care of my pup, including taking her on lots of fun walks and giving her all the love :) she was also very respectful of my home and sent tons of cute update pictures. Highly recommend and will definitely use her in the future!

Jennifer was hands down one of the best rovers we’ve ever had! She sent updates consistently, took great care of Koda and my home, and loved on my kitty. She was incredibly responsive and communicative and I had plenty of peace of mind while I was gone. Will 100% ask her to sit for us in the future!!
Vivian was absolutely amazing with our dog! She gave consistent updates and sent lots of pictures throughout our trip, which made us feel so much better while we were away. I honestly tend to get anxious about leaving my dog with a Rover sitter, but after this experience, I can confidently say I would trust Vivian with him again in a heartbeat. When we got home, our dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. She followed every single one of my instructions exactly, which gave me so much peace of mind. On top of that, our home was better than when we left it! It was obvious that she genuinely cared about both our dog and our home. If you're looking for someone who is reliable, communicative, attentive, and truly goes above and beyond, Vivian is the person to book. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter, and we will absolutely be using her again!

Micah & Katherine were amazing sitters for my pup and home while I was out of the country for a long trip. They provided great communication & updates sending photos and information each day about Mav's activities as well as reaching out with any questions they had about the home (it's about 130 years old, so things don't always work perfectly....). They both have the ability to work from home, so Mav had constant access & companionship for walks or scritches. I'd highly recommend for anyone looking for a new trusted pet sitter or who may have a longer trip coming up & want to ensure their pets are well cared for.

I asked Kyle to stop in the night before because I was concerned my dog would be aggressive with a "stranger" coming in. He was very gracious and it worked perfectly. I really appreciated that extra stop. He took some minor care changes in stride. Kyle sent a ton of pics while we were away, but didn't give much verbal feedback. Regardless, our pets were happy and healthy with him.

Alex was great. He came to meet us before he stayed with our Dog Roscoe. Roscoe loved him right away. Alex listen to all my requests with patience and understanding. He kept me updated and asked questions to make sure everything was done right. Will use Alex again for sure.

Rachel has been walking my anxious dog, Frannie, for a couple of months now and she is creative, reliable, punctual, and helpful. Most of all, Frannie looks forward to these outings and is always excited to see Rachel. Recently, Rachel cared for both Frannie and our house while we were on vacation. We got many fun pictures of Frannie's daily activities and we came home to a happy, fat and sassy dog, and a pristine house. Rachel is the best!

FAQs for House Sitting - Denver
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Denver on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 8,847 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Denver. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Denver walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Denver maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Denver choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
