“Chris takes great care of my sweet Henry and my home. I came home to a happy and healthy pup, knowing he got lots of love and attention while I was away.”

“Nina is by far the best pet sitter I’ve ever known! I was so grateful for the updates, pictures and excellent love and care for my fur babies! I know they will be excited to see Nina again!”

“Meghan was great with Mimo and took wonderful care of him again. We had a few unexpected issues come up at home and with Mimo’s health, and she was incredibly helpful on managing while we were away.”

“Donovan is an excellent sitter! He made sure to have all details covered for our pup and gave us detailed updates while we were away. Would definitely book him again!”

“Santiago was very flexible and available when I needed a last minute booking for a sitting. Zoey had a great visit and was well taken care of. Santiago made sure to have my place spick and span when I arrived home after a long day of travel and emotional weekend with my family. Most certainly would book again!”

About: I've been taking care of dogs and cats since I was 10 years old, when I started my own little pet-sitting/walking "business" in my small town in Arizona. As an adult, I've owned and trained two dogs of my own, and I've never stopped being around animals since. Whether it's giving them plenty of pets & cuddles, keeping them active, or making sure they feel comfortable & secure, my biggest priority is providing a safe, loving experience for every pet in my care. I just recently moved to Colorado and I'm excited to grow my connection with you! I'm currently working as a writer (published author) and editor for other aspiring authors. I love spending a few hours in the morning and in the afternoon working on my laptop and developing my craft! I'm both a morning and evening person:) I take care of pets in their home so they can stay in the environment they’re most comfortable and familiar with. I love following detailed routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and plenty of attention & cuddles. I also ensure they have a clean, safe environment and never feel alone or neglected while you are away. Every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their personality, (whether they're excited or a bit nervous) I love catering to their needs & preferences. My goal is to give them the kind of care they’re used to receiving at home!
“I highly recommend Neveah. She is communicative and reliable. She watched our two dogs and two cats for ten days and all the pets were calm and happy when we got home which means they were well taken care of. We are all very appreciative of her work!!”
“Moose loved his house sitting staycation with Emily while I was away. Emily was great w the walks & playtime & gave him his medicine etc while sending me lots of photos.”

“Brian helped us out last minute with pet/housesitting. It was a relief to know that our elderly dog was being cared for. House was kept up an Brian even brought a large area rug in for me.”

“We had such a great experience with Isabella! We usually travel with our senior pup, so leaving her for a week while we flew across the country was a little stressful. Isabella made us feel completely at ease with regular updates and lots of photos. We felt confident that our girl was getting all the love, attention, and extra care she needs at her age. We came home to a happy pup and would definitely book with her again!”

“Taylor stayed at our house for an extended period with our two dogs and was phenomenal. He took wonderful care of the pups and our home — we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”

“Chadd took great care of our dogs during our two week trip, providing regular updates in the Rover app at our requested interval and managing a complication very professionally. When we had a leak spring up, Chadd contacted us promptly and worked with one of our family members to facilitate repairs. The dogs were clearly well-loved and received appropriate food and exercise in our absence. The house was perfectly clean and he even took care of washing the bedding. I highly recommend Chadd and plan to book with him again in the future.”

“Trinity was awesome. She is a fast communicator, flexible, came to meet the dogs right away, followed all of our instructions and the house was super clean when we got home. The dogs are obsessed with her, in particular, Scrappy. He is on vibe patrol and his cuckoo adoration of her says a lot. They were happy as pie when we got home. I will definitely hit up Trinity the next time we need a sitter. Highly recommend for anybody else! 100% awesomeness! Thank you!!!”
“I have nothing but good things to say about Cyra! She was so kind and wonderful to my senior dog! She was on time, great communication and rolled with a couple of unforeseen changes.”

“Anthony is that dude. He sat for our dog Chai this weekend and had great communication the entire time. Chai seemed to have a great time and Anthony went above and beyond sending video of certain behavioral things we’ve been working on. Would not hesitate to book him again”

“Connie spent a week in my house and left it exactly as we left it. Normally our dog is very standoffish but immediately got atttached to Connie and was happy our whole time away, she was very responsive and sent updates often”
About: I have several years of experience with various types of pets. From dogs and cats to lizards and fish, I love getting to know any size or species of pet. I am available for drop in checkups and feeding for pets, as well as overnight stays. I am a morning person as well as someone who is very skilled in time management, as I know how to balance my schedule with that of the pet I’m taking care of. I love spending time getting to know the pet I’m taking care of. I believe getting to know their personality helps you create a bond so that the pet will trust you rather than seeing you as a stranger. This looks like many different things depending on the pet, but one example would be sitting in the home and letting the pet smell or get to know me before trying to pet it.
“Maren watched both our dog, Georgia, and kitty, Boo for a weekend. Great communication and appreciate the extra "commitment" given what a challenge our kitty can be. :)”

Claire was amazing! My pup Havi liked her at our meet and greet, and his instincts were soot on. Claire had great communication, daily updates, and handled a power outage at the house with grace. If you want a mature, responsible and caring dog sitter, I recommend you select Claire. I felt confident on my international travel that Claire had it handled. And she did- including making the bed with new sheets for the next sitter. A+!

Julie did a great job looking after our two dogs and our numerous plants. She had a real rapport with the dogs. When she needed to do something that required spending most of a day away from the house, she let us know, and arranged with a neighbor to check in on the dogs while she was gone.
Brenna was absolutely great. She house sat for me and my girlfriend and took care of our dog and cat. Brenna was communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and both our house and animals were extremely well cared-for. I also greatly appreciated the time Brenna took to understand our expectations regarding feeding and walks. I would 100% trust Brenna again to house sit for us and take care of our pets.

Brad provided house/dog-sitting services for our senior dog, Kona. He communicated well, was prompt, friendly, asked questions proactively, and was highly-responsive. Brad was attentive to Kona’s unique needs and treated our home very well. It was nice to go out of town for a long weekend without worrying if Kona was okay. I highly recommend him!

Lindsay was amazing with our 9 month old puppy- it was our longest stay away from her (one weekend) and I had zero concerns the whole time and was able to enjoy our trip. She kept us informed, took lots of photos and we came home to a spotless home. Would 100% use her again and really appreciated the love she showed our Charlie girl.

Santiago did a wonderful job caring for our high maintenance pup! Our dog Odin is very anxious and can be reactive with new people so getting a new sitter can be quite the process. We do many drop ins before the stay so Odin can get comfortable. Santiago was great and very willing to work with us to get Odin comfortable with him. Throughout the stay, Santiago sent regular updates and pictures. He even watered our garden while we were gone. I highly recommend Santiago!

Tatum is a very responsible lady, she is kind and patient with our three pups. We would highly recommend her. We were able to enjoy our trip, knowing that our three pups were being cared for by her. Winston enjoyed his hike, Billy loves being pet and Jack loves to snuggle! Thank you Tatum! We wish you success in BC, we hope to see you in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Boulder on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Boulder walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Boulder maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Boulder choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Boulder. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
