“Kristina was fantastic with our pup, who can be a little reserved with new people. She was patient & kind, and provided lots of pics / updates while we were gone. Kristina has a beautiful space, great yard with amazing views & 2 adorable dogs for Sadie to play with. It made our weekend away easier knowing Sadie was in good hands 😊”

“Caroline (and Paisley) took great care of Maple. My pup was very at-home in their place. I appreciate that Caroline kept the dogs cool during hot weather, and Maple received plenty of pets and attention. I would trust Caroline to follow my instructions and would book with her again :)”

“Margaret took in our two pups for two separate boardings over the holiday season. She allowed us to come by for a meet and greet ahead of time, was extremely easy to plan pick up/drops offs with, and was extremely communicative while our dogs were in her care. When dropped off for the second boarding, the dogs were visibly excited to see her! Would absolutely recommend Margaret and we plan to use her for all our future needs! Thank you, Margaret!”

“Celia and Mark were excellent hosts for our dog. They made her feel right at home and she came back as happy as ever. They have an amazing yard for the dog to spend time outside and made sure she was comfortable sleeping at night. I highly recommend this family!”

About: Although I am long distance from my fur best friends right now, I’ve grown up caring for dogs my entire life, including senior dogs and pups with disabilities. I also raised a rambunctious yellow Lab puppy on my own, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages, energy levels, and personalities. I believe every dog deserves patience, love, and attentive care, and I’ll treat yours like they’re my own. As a college student, I’m looking to earn some extra income doing something I genuinely love—caring for animals. My class schedule is very flexible, which gives me plenty of time to provide your pet with the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, sticking to a routine, or simply keeping them company while you’re away, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my everyday life, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. My home has a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play and plenty of space to relax indoors. There is almost always someone home to provide attention, companionship, and care, so your pet will rarely be left alone. I am a caring, responsible household and will treat your pet like a member of the family while they’re in my care.
“Sebastian had such a great time getting lots of love and attention from Sophia and her family! Sophia communicates very well, and you can tell your dog will be in good hands when you meet her and the family. Sebastian loved having a doggie buddy with Ziggy and didn’t want come home! Thanks again Sophia! 🫶🏻”

“Natalie is communicative, responsive, flexible and all-around awesome! I received lots of photos, videos, and updates while my pup was hanging out with Natalie, which was much appreciated! Would recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch sitter.”

About: I’ve had a lifelong love for animals and a natural connection with both dogs and cats and bring over 8 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. From energetic puppies who need structure and playtime to senior pets who need patience and comfort, I know how to adapt to each animal’s unique needs. At home, I share life with my goofy golden retriever and a sassy tuxedo cat, who both love other animals. My approach is calm, reliable, and intuitive, I take the time to make every pet feel safe, loved, and understood. I can help with training, daily walks, or providing company while you’re away, and I’ll treat your pets like family and keep you updated every step of the way. I work from home so have flexibility in my daily routine. Most afternoons and evenings in particular work well for me for any type of care. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in yours, I focus on creating an environment that matches each animal’s personality and comfort level. I have plenty of engaging ways to channel energy for playful or high energy pets, through walks, games, training reinforcement, or enrichment toys while also providing patience and affection for mellow or cuddly companions who prefer a slower pace. I will treat your pets and your home with the same respect I would give mine!
“Karla was the most wonderful sitter for our dog Marshall! We were so thankful for the attention to detail in her care, picture updates, and smooth drop off and pick up. Such a loving family and we know our furbaby was well taken care of. Highly recommend Karla!!!”

About: Hello! My name is Caitlin but my friends call me Clover :) I grew up with 3 dogs and became an animal lover at a very early age. I absolutely ADORE spending time with animals and working with them has always been one of my biggest passions. I love playing with them, giving them lots of love, and taking them on runs with me. I’m very athletic, so if you’re looking for a sitter who will get your dog all worn out I’m your gal! I’m also great with older dogs, and have cared for dogs with medications and other special requirements. I’m great with dogs of all sizes and have a lot of experience pet sitting, house sitting, and dog walking. I have experience working as a pet sitter/house sitter consistently for the past 7 years.
“If Ruby could talk, I know she would tell me she had the BEST time with Barbara and Mel. From coordinating drop off times, to regular communication and picture updates, Barbara kept me in the loop with how my girl was settling in. I appreciated her responsiveness and thoughtfulness around caring for the special needs of a vizsla. Mel is very well trained, enthusiastic and super generous to share her space with Ruby. I hope Ruby can stay with them in the future!”

“Brooke was absolutely outstanding! From the moment we met, it was clear she genuinely loves dogs, and Scout took to her immediately. Throughout the stay, she provided thoughtful updates, plenty of photos, and gave me complete peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. She treated Scout like he was her own, paying attention to his routine, making sure he got plenty of exercise, affection, and personalized care. I came home to a happy, relaxed dog, which says everything about the quality of care she provided. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and recommend her without reservation to anyone looking for the very best care for their pet. Thank you, Brooke!”

“Aubrey is amazing and very helpful. Fen is very enthusiastic to be around her and her pets. She has a fenced yard and plenty of room for dogs to run around and play. She was able to pick Fen up and drop him off. I am also rebooking her over Christmas!”
“We had a great experience with Alex. He is very kind and is a dog lover. He was great with communication and drop off pickup and being flexible with our times. He let us enjoy our trip but sent a few messages and took amazing photos of our dog Chip. He was thoughtful and gave us some prints and a magnet of his photography of our cutie pup Chip. We will definitely be using Alex again. Thank you!”

“Shadow spent her longest time with Kimberly and crew while we were away on a trip! We picked Shadow up and as we went to get in the car, Shadow turned back up the stairs to go back to Kimberly’s 😊 I think that says it all! Shadow is so well loved and treated like absolute royalty at Kimberly’s. It’s so comforting knowing that our sweet ‘ol gal is in great hands when we’re away!”

“Katherine & Andrew were so great and I hope to hire them again. They took my dog on a bunch of adventures and took great care of her. Lots of great pictures and communication throughout the week. They also picked her up and dropped her off, which was a big help. I’ll definitely be recommending them to my neighbors and friends nearby.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Boulder
J’Ana and her husband clearly loved and cared for my two precious pups like they were their own. She sent over 50 photos over the 9-night stay and her messages clearly showed that she took the time to actually get to know my girls. She pointed out cute personality quirks that showed me she was watching them very closely and paying meticulous attention to their needs. The photos showed two happy pups, which was likewise evident when I picked them up. By far the best sitter we’ve had and I hope she can take my girls whenever I go out of town.

Nicole is great. She's super responsive and took great care of our pup. Freyja is high anxiety and very nervous with new people, but warmed up well to Nicole. She also came back the happiest and calmest I've ever seen her after being away from us. She enjoyed all the doggie company and play time.

My dog stayed with Dakota and Kate for 4 nights while we were out of town, and had a great time with them and their resident dog! She got great walks/adventures and time in their backyard. My dog can be anxious so it was a relief to have her somewhere she seemed to feel at ease while we were gone!

I want to personally thank Calista for agreeing to take care of our dog Bruno. Our trip to Mexico wouldn't have happened without Calista. We booked with her through Rover back in late April. Our trip was July 2nd to July 14th 2026 which was a busy time since it was 4th of July weekend. I got a lot of declines but Calista agreed to care for him and flights to Mexico were booked!!!! Since we had found care for Bruno I felt like I could book much needed vacation for our family and I. Calista kept me updated throughout Bruno’s stay. It felt so good knowing he was in good hands. I will definitely rebook and recommend anyone looking for pet care for over 13 days Calista has you covered!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
