Dog lover
I've had dogs most of my adult life. There are periods that I've gone without, and I've always missed them. I recently rescued a 9-year-old. After two knee replacements, I'm trying to walk as much as possible and having dogs is a great motivator. I've never looked after special needs dogs, but if it's not difficult and fairly easy to do, I'd be game to try. The breeds I've owned in the past have been a Samoyed, a cockapoo, a labradoodle, and a golden doodle.

Richard took great care of Judy
Richard was great—he took our dog on lots of long walks and sent updates and photos.
Richard was very helpful and Fen was very happy when I picked him up. He has a yard that he loved playing in, and I received photos and thorough communication. Will rebook in the future.
All the years I've known Richard, he has always been good with pets..cats,dogs, and birdies..etc.. I would have no problem letting him look after my pets and my home.

Schedule
I work from home, so have plenty of time to spend with your dog. Being a landlord, I've long periods of little to do, other than during the summer rental season, when I need to be out and about, doing repairs, showing rentals and checking tenants in and out. As they're my own rentals, I still have a lot of flexibility.

A typical day
When I had a dog, we'd go for walkies at least twice a day. A long one in the afternoon and a short one in the evening. During the walk, we'd play if there was an off-leash area, or I'd talk to them the whole time. During the day they'd play in the back yard or keep me company with whatever I was doing in the house. In summer, the back door is always open, so the dogs could come and go as they wanted. In winter I'd periodically let them out (and play fetch with snowballs). Belly rubs were throughout the day as needed.
