“Sarah was wonderful with our dog! We received tons of updates and pictures throughout the time our dog was with Sarah, which helped us rest easy ? I would recommend Sarah to anyone, and will definitely be coming back again!”

“Emily and Hector were outstanding pet sitters for our dog, Nana. They were incredibly responsible and attentive, following our feeding instructions to the letter and ensuring Nana’s daily routine was maintained with care. We received frequent updates, including plenty of photos and videos, which kept us reassured and connected while we were away. They were quick to notify us of any health concerns and provided thoughtful care when needed. Nana was clearly happy and comfortable in their home, which was clean, cozy, and welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be booking with Emily and Hector again!”

“Joni is an exceptional sitter who deserves 'Star' status! From our first meeting, her dedication was clear—she even took detailed notes to ensure Pepper’s needs were met. Pepper had a wonderful time with her dog, Tilly, who is incredibly sweet. Beyond her care for the animals, Joni was 100% responsive and remarkably gracious when I made a mistake with my booking. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!”

“Our dog had a wonderful time at Aubrey’s house. He had lots of furry friends to play with, spent time exploring outside and received many cuddles and love. Aubrey was wonderful at sending daily updates and pictures. Our pup came back exhausted from all the fun he had. Can’t wait to use Aubrey again next time we are away!”

“Karla and family were such great hosts and very welcoming to both Gus and I. Karla was great about providing pictures and updates daily and took Gus on some great adventures and I could see he was getting plenty of attention. I would recommend booking with Karla and family if you want to feel at ease while out of town!”

“Charissa and Colin were great and I got lots of photos of our dog relaxing and getting some walks in. We will definitely reach out to Charissa again the next time we need to leave town without our pup.”

“Rachael was so great with my senior pup! She administered his medicine on time daily, and listened to his needs regarding exercise in the heat. Her dog Tiger got along great with my dog, even though Dutch kept trying to take over all of the sleeping places. Rachael was super communicative, she sent lots of pictures, and demonstrated that she had taken the time to read thru and understand all of my pup’s care instructions. I would trust Rachael to watch Dutch again!”

“Georgia watched our two dogs for the week of Thanksgiving and we returned to calm, happy, well cared for pups. Georgia is an obvious dog lover, has a wonderful home/space to keep your dogs and is genuinely a kind and communicative person! I highly recommend this sitter! We will definitely be back!”

“Quick communication and flexible schedules that allowed us to leave our dog with them for longer than planned. We felt comfortable knowing our girl was being well taken care of.”

“Mary was absolutely amazing! She took such good care of our fur babies! She stayed in touch through their stay, was super attentive, and sent us adorable pics as well. Due to the pandemic it was our first time in a while being away from our dogs so we missed them dearly; but knowing that they were happy, safe, and in such great care allowed us to really enjoy our vacation. I wish I could give Mary TEN STARS⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! THANK YOU, Mary!”

“We can’t say enough good things about Timea and her husband! They were wonderful with our pup, Mac. They gave Mac so much love and attention, kept us updated with tons of adorable pictures, and were great about communicating and asking questions to make sure he was happy and comfortable. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. We’d absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for amazing sitters!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
