“Our dog had the best time staying with Meghan and Hakon! They made our time away from our pup easy with updates, photos, and genuine care for our dog. We felt confident she was in good hands!”

“Kristina was fantastic with our pup, who can be a little reserved with new people. She was patient & kind, and provided lots of pics / updates while we were gone. Kristina has a beautiful space, great yard with amazing views & 2 adorable dogs for Sadie to play with. It made our weekend away easier knowing Sadie was in good hands 😊”

“Charlotte took great care of our dog Juno! Juno got lots of walks, attention and time to romp in the backyard with Charlotte’s very cute pup Briscoe. Juno can be a bit shy and take her time to warm up to new people, so I greatly appreciated Charlotte’s patience and willingness to meet Juno where she is. We look forward to booking this Rover again!”

About: I was raised by an animal loving family, and I've raised my family to do the same! Let us take care of your loved one while you are away. You will enjoy peace of mind knowing that your dog is in a safe and loving environment. I give daily updates and photos of your dog while they relax in our home, surrounded by love and plenty of opportunity for play on our 1 acre farmhouse property. Your dog will be cared for as if they were our own. I work part time away from home, and I am home every evening. Your dog will enjoy morning and afternoon walks, plenty of supervised play time in the yard, approved treats, and lots of cuddles! I will feed your dog according to your schedule. Your dog will be spoiled just as much as my own dog! Your dog's care will be personalized to fit your needs, and I will work with you to make sure that every comfort of home will be available. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your dog in the care of others, and I strive to make their stay feel as comfortable as possible. I recommend bringing comfort items such as favorite toys, bed, blanket, etc. so they can have something familiar while they are with us.
“My dog has an overnight stay with this family and they were wonderful with her! Our dog is so attached to us (and we have no other pets) so she can be picky about what humans and other dogs she trusts and enjoys. I appreciate that she was allowed free access around their house. Most of all, I loved seeing the genuine happiness of Ashley and Jeremy’s boys for hosting. I’m so glad to have found someone that will give us peace of mind that she’s well taken care of when we’re away.”

“Elizabeth provided an excellent home away from home for our pup! She was responsive, communicative throughout our trip with updates and photos, and was flexible with our late arrival when our flight was cancelled. Our dog loved hanging out with her pups and definitely missed them after he left. I would not hesitate to book dog-sitting/boarding with her again. Thank you, Elizabeth!”

“Maggie was fantastic! She was warm, communicative and accommodating when I needed to add pick up/drop-off after booking. She sent tons of pics and Meilo seemed very happy spending the weekend with her. I will definitely be booking with Maggie again soon!”

“Fred and Kim have the perfect home away from home for your pup. They took Bailey on several walks a day, she had a comfortable bed to sleep in and plenty of space to move around the house and garden. They sent daily photos and updates, and were super friendly and accommodating. We'll be booking again!”

“Maria was absolutely fantastic with our slightly quirky Rhodesian Ridgeback, Leo! She and her husband took the best care of him and took him on all sorts of adventures. We will absolutely be booking with her again!”

“Khristina was a very attentive and caring sitter. She went the extra mile to keep Almond comfortable and sent picture updates throughout the stay. I really appreciated her thoughtfulness and would book again.”

“Alex and Jeffery were wonderful with our Bella! Such a sweet family they gave Bella lots of love and care! We knew she was well taking care of had great walks and was deeply loved. We felt so comfortable leaving the country knowing she was in such capable and caring hands. They have an incredibly large backyard so lots of room to run and play. We loved the photo updates and knowing how Bella was doing. I highly recommend them. She will be back with them again soon!”

“My dog loves Cole & his family! This was my dog’s second stay with them and I can tell they take great care of her because she was so excited to see them again! Thank you Cole!”

“Nasal and Thomas went above and beyond for our dog, Finn. It was such a blessing to know that Finn was loved and cared for by people who genuinely love dogs and genuinely wanted to spend time with him. They sent so many photos and videos which became our favorite part of our weekend away. We are crazy dog people and never leave our pups with others... and I did not worry about him for a second!! Thank you all so much- we are so grateful 💛”

“Olivia and her fiancé took great care of our pups! We have been searching for a new sitter and so glad we found someone we can trust with our babies. She was accommodating with times and was very responsive! Highly recommend!!”

“We picked our English Bulldog up at 7:45am and Jessica had everything packed up, Posey’s kennel broken down, and we were able to get right on the road for a 12 hour drive! Posey had obviously played hard because she went right to sleep. She is worn out and happy! Thanks, Jessica!”

“Kody was absolutely wonderful watching my pup for the weekend. She came home happy, healthy and well exercised. Kody was very pleasant and his pups were great for friends to my pup. Would absolutely refer and have willow stay with kody again!”

“Tamie was wonderful! She's very kind and easy to communicate with and my Baxter immediately felt comfortable in her home. I appreciated the photos and updates that she sent every day. I will definitely book with her again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
