“Lindsey and Anthony and their sweet girls took amazing care of our pups for a week! We have a very old dog and a puppy, and they made sure they understood both dogs' needs completely beforehand and that both dogs were totally comfortable in their home. They gave regular walks to the puppy so he was well-excersised, and took our old man on short walks so he could explore the neighborhood. Lindsey sent daily updates and pictures, and was very easy to communicate with. Both pups seemed very relaxed and happy at their house, and they had a blast playing with their dog Mochi! We would love to send our pups to their house again next time we go out of town!”

“Lincoln and Kinzie are always in great hands with Meghan and Hakon! We get lots of updates and the pups are loved on so much. Could not recommend them more to make your pup feel like part of the family and we will definitely reach out to them for another stay.”

“We booked Nicole and Billy last minute and had a great experience! They were reliable, caring, and clearly really love dogs. We felt completely comfortable knowing Pepper was in good hands, and we got regular updates and photos while we were away. It made the whole experience stress-free. We would definitely book with them again!”

“Sidney was wonderful! This was our first time using Rover and we loved it. During the 11 days away, I got updates and photos for peace of mind. It was amazing and so different from a boarding place where you’re always wondering how it’s going. Sidney is so nice and had such a cute house and sweet dogs!! Definitely will have her watch our pups again!! :)”

“Timea and her husband were wonderful sitters to our baby Lexi! We could tell she was so loved and well taken care of when we went on our trip. Highly recommend Timea and will be booking with her again”

“Felt very comfortable leaving our dog in Charlotte’s care! Received regular updates and lots of photos. Very fast to respond as well which is always comforting. We would be happy to trust our pup with Charlotte any time. Thank you!”

“Highly recommend Alex and Jeff. Responsive and on point with all communications. Great yard and set up. Felt really good about leaving our pup with them.”

“We reached out to Tyran and his family after having to do an unexpected move cross states instead of a planned vacation. Since we didn’t have anything in our house we couldn’t use one of our regular dog sitter. This is the first time we’ve ever done any kind of boarding. Tyran and his family made us feel so comfortable. They were very communicative and sent daily pictures. Our dog had so much fun at their house. Thank you all so much. If we hadn’t just moved we would definitely be return clients.”

“We are very pleased with our 8 yr old Weim’s five day stay with Bill. Bill paid attention to our requests to keep Max on his special diet, and sent pictures to keep us informed of Max’s well being. We were looking for an in-home boarding experience for Max and this turned out perfect for our situation. Thank you to Bill!”

It was such a blessing to know that Finn was loved and cared for by people who genuinely love dogs and genuinely wanted to spend time with him. They sent so many photos and videos which became our favorite part of our weekend away. We are crazy dog people and never leave our pups with others... and I did not worry about him for a second!! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
