About: I have been a devoted cat and dog owner for many years and have medical experience from my late cat which included glucose testing, IVs, and insulin injections. My husband and I whole-heartedly believe our pets are our family and we're the ones living in their castle. Therefore, your pets will be treated like the kings and queens that they are. My husband and I usually tag team pet sitting, we have opposite schedules so usually someone can always be around if not the both of us! We have a small fenced yard and our pup is bell trained due to us having strictly indoor cats. Any special routines you have in your home we will be sure to follow.
“We had a wonderful experience with Amelia! Our dog came back happy and healthy :) Amelia sent us regular updates/photos, always responded to messages quickly, and even took Atlas out of his pen to explore the indoor arena! By far the best Rover experience we’ve ever had!”

“I tend to get worried when we leave our senior beagle (Yoshi is over 15 now). Unfortunately, for a recent trip, our regular sitter (through Colorado Beagle Rescue) was not available. I have heard horror stories about Rover sitters (the bad always seems to make headlines) and was concerned going this route. I contacted Susan because of her ratings and closeness to our home. She made us feel very comfortable and we took Yoshi over for a pre-visit. Once we went on vacation. She also was able to work through Yoshi's quirks when being at a new place and kept us up to date on his progress. After about three days, he settled into his routine and things were good. We will be using Susan again.”

“Maria took such wonderful care of our Birdie while we were on vacation. It always sets our mind at ease when we know she’s in a loving home and Maria was the absolute best, sending us tons of great pictures and updates. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t say enough good things about Timea and her husband. They stepped in last minute to watch my dog, who can be reactive at times. From the very start, they were calm, understanding, and incredibly patient. They took the time to learn his triggers and routines, kept me updated with messages and photos, and made sure he felt safe and cared for the entire time. Finding someone who truly understands a reactive dog isn’t easy, but her and her husband went above and beyond. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such capable and compassionate hands. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced sitter especially for pups who need that extra bit of care and understanding.”

“We had a great experience with Madalyn and Gabriel! They were very responsive and attentive with our pup. He had such a great time with them he didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend these two.”

“Mickey loved staying with Samara, I truly appreciate her flexibility and being able to watch Mickey last minute. Can honestly say that I will be reaching back out to Samara when I need any help with my dog, he felt comfortable and right at home with her”

“Kaylynn was great with Ruby! She made sure she asked the right questions to be prepared for the stay, sent daily updates, and was sure to give Ruby lots of love and attention! Ruby came home happy and I would definitely book again!”

“She was great ! I’m always very nervous about leaving my dog and she kept me up to date on how he was doing the entire time. Definitely helped me relax a little bit on my trip knowing my dog was happy !”

“The most caring, attentive, communicative and easy going sitter I've ever had. She sent photos, status updates and when Zaya wouldn't eat (because she was so nervous to be away from home), she asked about ways to entice her to eat and successfully got her to gobble up her meals. And when my plans changed last minute, she was able to accommodate us for an extra night without any issues. Very grateful to have found a dedicated sitter I can trust so much 🥰”

“I cannot say enough about how well Tyran and Sharaya treated our pup Ace. From the communication to the pictures to letting us meet them and their dog ahead of time, my husband and I were so impressed with the level of care they showed. Tyran and Sharaya will be our number one pup sitters any time we need a super caring, sweet, loving family to watch Ace (which is all the time:)). So grateful to have met them!”

“Elizabeth watched our 2 dogs for a week and a half while we were on vacation. She sent me pictures and/or videos daily and was very quick to respond to all communications. My old boy is super easy but my young female dog can be a handful and has hit the phase where she feels the need to challenge other female dogs, so I was a little nervous since one of Elizabeth's dogs is female. She and her partner reassured me that they would keep them separate if needed, would never leave them home alone in the same room, and would control their interactions until they became more comfortable with each other. I'm so grateful that they watched my dogs because after a few days, I was getting pictures/videos of our girls playing and laying together which gave me hope for my little wild one's future interactions with other females! Thanks for doing such a great job with my babies!”
“Julia, Sam, and Cashew were great sitters for our two dogs for the 5 days they were with them. Drop off and pick up were easy and they accommodated our schedule. We got daily photos and updates which were very appreciated! We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for dog sitting.”

“Kristina was VERY responsive and great with our big old Riley boy. He came home happy and sleepy, like a dog post-vacation should be! We also got a ton of pictures over the weekend of Riley living his best life. Thanks for helping us out, Kristina!”

“Could not say more positive things about Nawal & Thomas! They went above and beyond with keeping me up to date about all the happenings and adventures my Greyson went on. They genuinely loved him like their own and he came home so incredibly calm and happy. Thank you so so much! Would book again in a heartbeat.”

“Caydee and her family were great! They took amazing care of our recently adopted 2-year-old Aussie Shepherd mix and showered her with lots of love. We received several updates during our trip and will happily have Caydee watch our girl again in the future!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
