“Brooke took such good care of Milo on a last minute notice! She is super responsive and we were able to work out scheduling smoothly. Milo had a great time with her!”

“Kyleigh is awesome! She is extremely communicative and gives regular updates and shares pics. She has a great home and yard space for watching dogs. My pup had a blast with her and her dogs! I highly recommend her”

“Emily was absolutely amazing with Zola! I got a lot of photo updates and reassurance that she was well taken care of while I was away! I will definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her. Zola came home in a very good mood.”

“Karla is a total dog-sitting rockstar! Our dog couldn’t get enough of her. Her place is like doggy paradise - super comfy and safe with a big backyard. She sent me all great pics of Remy having a blast. Plus, she was on top of his meals like a pro. Karla is THE go-to person if you want your furry buddy to have an awesome time. Four paws up!”

“Elizabeth watched our 2 dogs for a week and a half while we were on vacation. She sent me pictures and/or videos daily and was very quick to respond to all communications. My old boy is super easy but my young female dog can be a handful and has hit the phase where she feels the need to challenge other female dogs, so I was a little nervous since one of Elizabeth's dogs is female. She and her partner reassured me that they would keep them separate if needed, would never leave them home alone in the same room, and would control their interactions until they became more comfortable with each other. I'm so grateful that they watched my dogs because after a few days, I was getting pictures/videos of our girls playing and laying together which gave me hope for my little wild one's future interactions with other females! Thanks for doing such a great job with my babies!”
“Rachel is not only an extraordinary pet sitter, but she is an extraordinary person. Kind and delightful. She was wonderful with Buddha Bear and sent us lots of "Pupdates" of their walks, feeding, and hanging out in the yard. I know Bear had a great time. It was a bit challenging for us because we moved to the area less than two weeks ago, so we know our dog may be a little anxious at the moment with the move and everything that comes with it. Rachael was so patient with him, and he stayed with her while she was working. I couldn't speak more highly of her. I know Buddha Bear really loved her.”

“I tend to get worried when we leave our senior beagle (Yoshi is over 15 now). Unfortunately, for a recent trip, our regular sitter (through Colorado Beagle Rescue) was not available. I have heard horror stories about Rover sitters (the bad always seems to make headlines) and was concerned going this route. I contacted Susan because of her ratings and closeness to our home. She made us feel very comfortable and we took Yoshi over for a pre-visit. Once we went on vacation. She also was able to work through Yoshi's quirks when being at a new place and kept us up to date on his progress. After about three days, he settled into his routine and things were good. We will be using Susan again.”

“The most caring, attentive, communicative and easy going sitter I've ever had. She sent photos, status updates and when Zaya wouldn't eat (because she was so nervous to be away from home), she asked about ways to entice her to eat and successfully got her to gobble up her meals. And when my plans changed last minute, she was able to accommodate us for an extra night without any issues. Very grateful to have found a dedicated sitter I can trust so much 🥰”

“This was my first time boarding my pup with J.R. We originally arranged for a single night of boarding, but unfortunately, my weekend plans changed last minute and we had to extend to 3 nights. I genuinely appreciated his quick communication and willingness to accommodate. Additionally, J.R. has a fabulous property with lots of roaming room that I'm sure my pup thoroughly enjoyed.”

“Ryan and Lorien were the best sitters we’ve found in the nine years we’ve had Dany! We were so grateful for the daily updates and felt Dany was well taken care of. Ryan goes above and beyond to make sure you’re on the same page about care and is detail oriented. We would 10/10 recommend & hope to book again in the future!”

“Olivia and her fiancé took great care of our pups! We have been searching for a new sitter and so glad we found someone we can trust with our babies. She was accommodating with times and was very responsive! Highly recommend!!”

“Alexandria was great with my dog. When I picked my dog up at the end of a long weekend, she curled up in my backset and slept all the way home - a rare occurrence in my endlessly energetic and anxious dog. Daily pictures of playtime on a hike around the lake told the story of a happy and well cared for pup. Alexandria is clearly knowledge and gifted with dogs. I'd recommend her to anyone!”

“Sarah was fantastic! We met prior to the dates of my trip so she could show me her space and explained how she would ensure the well-being and safety of my dog. She sent daily updates with photos during my trip, and it is evident that she is incredibly knowledgable and experienced when it comes to caring for dogs.”

“Shreya was great with Lumo. She gave thorough updates during his stay and shared lots of pictures and videos. Highly recommend Shreya and we would 100% send Lumo to her boarding again.”

About: I have worked with old dogs, puppies, trained 2 puppies and some older dogs. I have also worked with a variety of animals like highland cows and reptiles! I have also have had my own dogs and currently have a cat! On weekends I am available pretty much all day! Usually the first Saturday of each month I have my quilt guild and ever other Sunday I nanny for 4 hours. Outside of that I shouldn’t have any other plans with enough advance notice! (I like to plan out my month a month prior) during the week I currently have an am job 3 days/week with some separation to hang out with the dogs in the middle of the day before heading to my pm job. I will watch your animals in your home to make sure that they are as comfortable as possible while you are out of town. I also like to spend the majority of a meet and greet interacting with your animals so that they get as comfortable as possible with me before you head out of town.

“Chelsea was FANTASTIC!!! She always made sure to take so many pictures of my baby. She took my dog for a walk and let her run around on such beautiful green grass fields every day! She went out of her way to drop my dog off to me as well. 10/10!!!”

“Brittany is a wonderful dog sitter! My Sonny is a senior Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and he was treated like a king! Brittany took great care of Sonny and he looked so happy being with Wookie, Brittany's senior dog. She also sent me great photos while I was traveling so I could see what they were up to. I travel several times a year and I am so glad to find someone I can trust with my old man! I am already booking Brittany for my next adventure!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Niwot
We had a wonderful experience with Sally! She took excellent care of our dog and made sure he got several walks every day. The frequent updates and all the photos she sent throughout our trip were greatly appreciated. We were able to enjoy our vacation and not worry, knowing our dog was doing well and having a good time. We have already booked another stay with Sally. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative sitter.
Madyson did an amazing job watching my Giannis. He’s a very active border collie that requires a lot of stimulation. She provided everything he needed and has a great household to care for any pet. My giannis had a great time and I was given daily updates with pictures, videos, and informed about how it was going. I felt safe knowing my Giannis was in good hands his entire stay. Thank you so much!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
