“Joanie is seriously the best. She's extremely patient with our reactive fella, Anubis. With her help, he's gaining confidence trusting strangers and trying new things. She's definitely our dog sitter/walker of choice here in town.”

About: I have been sitting through Rover since 2021 and have truly enjoyed spending time with so many pets! I've sat big dogs, little dogs, cats, fish, and sugar gliders! I feel that through Rover I have excelled in adapting quickly to a variety of pet's needs. I’m currently living in the Boulder/Longmont Colorado area and am open to book sits around the area. I just moved here from Orlando Florida. When I lived in Orlando, if I had spare time, I liked to drive rescue transports for ORCA, Greyhounds in Motion, and Orlando Pet Alliance. If you have suggestions of rescue transports I can drive for in the northwest Denver area please let me know! My current work schedule is fully open while I secure a new job in the area, once I officially start my new job I will add in my new schedule, but the typical schedule for my line of work is M-F 8am-5pm. I’ll have studying to do in the evenings and on the weekends so your pets can keep me company while I do schoolwork. I'm good at adapting to you and your pet's needs! I'll give them love, care, and attention if they want it, but will respect them if they prefer not to be pet (we all know those cats 😄)

About: I truly love my client’s pets as if they were my mine! I’m unable to have pets of my own in my living situation so it’s fun for me to be able to have the spare time to take care of your furry family members while you are away at work or on vacation. I have provided pet sitting, drop in, and dog walking services for several different breeds and ages. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible while you are away by keeping consistent routines with feeding, walks, and play times. I absolutely love working with and taking care of animals. I’m here to answer/address any questions/concerns you may have and I look forward to meeting them and you soon!
About: Punctual, trustworthy, observant, communicative. I am a caregiver at heart as well as professionally. For years I have taken care of humans in the CNA world. As well as my patient’s pets, friends/family pets, horses and my very own fur babies. I currently work a full time job, but I have flexible hours. I can drop in on your pet(s) in the mornings and evenings. If an afternoon is required here and there I can make it work! Always make sure they have fresh water and clean bowls. Love to keep their spaces clean. Playing, exercising, cuddling. Medicine and food routines are important too.
“Kristen has been fabulous with our dog! She’s often available last minute, and puts in the extra effort to play with him even when he’s resistant to a longer walk.”
“Abbi is great! She has been suoer helpful walking our dog and our friends dog. Communication is quick and clear, scheduling is easy, and she is super careful with her attention to detail! You’re pet will be in great hands with Abbi.”

“Sue has been a fantastic find! She lives nearby, is a great communicator and my dog enjoys her company. Very glad to have found Sue to help with the occasional dog walk for ski days.”

“Holly is awesome. She was great because she came over in advance and met with chief just so I could feel good about it and probably so she and chief could feel good about it. She was prompt and gave him great walks.”

About: I am a responsible college student who loves all kinds of dogs. I have grown up with dogs my entire life and have experience with large breed puppies to small senior dogs. I'm also an athlete, so I can be an especially good fit for energetic and strong dogs. I have also spent time volunteering at the humane society. I am currently home for the summer so my schedule is very flexible. My mornings are generally busier, but I can adapt to your needs on most days. The safety and happiness of your pet is my first priority, so I prefer to stick to familiar areas and will pay close attention to your pet's cues. If your dog enjoys exercise or activities, I am also able to go on runs, play, or explore new places with them.
About: I have a medium-large dog at home (around 70 pounds). I feel comfortable walking dogs of any size as far as they like. I have a grassy area outside my apartment that I can take your dog to whenever needed. I am available to dog sit over night on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights. I’m available throughout the day on weekends and Thursdays. I’m used to taking care of a dog (feeding, walking, playing, grooming), and I’d love to be able to again. The only restriction I have is my apartment complex’s rule go no pit bulls, german shepherds, or siberian huskys. I trained my dog at home from when she was a puppy, and she turned into an extremely friendly dog. I’d be happy take care of your puppy and help it learn how to interact with people.
“I’d never used the app before but loved how easy it was for Sam to keep me updated both times he visited to walk our dog. Our dog is an old boy and can be a little defensive at times, and pretty slow-moving, but Sam was super patient with him. Sam walked him for a full 30 minutes and from what I can tell, he just let our dog take it slow, sniffing (and peeing on) all the things along the way, which is his absolute favorite thing to do. I’d recommend Sam for sure, and will ask him back if we ever need help with our pets again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have cared for them independently since I was 14 years old. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their dogs while they were away. I recently lost my own dog, which made me realize how much I truly love being around them. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and needs different levels of attention, exercise, and affection. I enjoy long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, and just simply having a buddy. My goal is always to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I treat every dog as if they were my own and will provide probably too many photos and updates. My schedule is fairly flexible, I work part time as a private caregiver for an elderly couple. I have lots of free time and I do my best to accommodate each dog’s needs. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my routine. I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability and make sure your dog gets the attention and care they deserve. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a family member, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I will carefully follow any instructions you provide regarding routines, feeding, medications, exercise, and house rules.

About: I have a strong love and affection for animals of all types, and have been a pet owner most of my life. I have been a sitter for family and friends more times than I can remember, and have experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles and fish. I also have cared for older pets and am comfortable administering medication when needed. Whether it’s a quick drop in or an extended time, I’ll treat your furry companion(s) with all the love and attentive care they deserve. I will be working part time but also have a flexible schedule, I’m willing to work with clients to meet their schedule needs as much as I can. No backyard, but a dog park and safe walking spaces are available near me in a quiet apartment complex. Pets can be lonely while away from their owners, but I will provide lots of affection and play time to make sure they are as happy as ever. I will also keep detailed notes on any specific care your pet(s) may require, and can be reached at my cell if needed.
About: I have had assorted pets in my lifetime, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, tortoises, a pot-bellied pig, fish, cockatiels, parakeets, ducks, chickens, and horses. On one occasion, we took in two orphaned baby Scrub Jays and were able to release them as adults. I have a lot of experience with animals, and they bring me joy and peace. Dogs warm up to me quickly, and I enjoy walking, feeding and playing with them, or just being in their company. I've taken several dog obedience training courses over the years and feel confident with handling most dogs. I am retired and have an open and flexible schedule. I enjoy walking and getting outdoors; walking a dog is an extra bonus that I look forward to. I have experience in handling pets and reading their behavior; I understand that they are members of our families, and I want to take good care of them while they are in my care. I’m retired and have a flexible schedule. Weekends and weekdays/nights are not out of the question. It brings me joy to be around animals and I enjoy their company. I take the time to spend with your pet and build a trusting relationship. Sitting quietly or sometimes having conversations with animals brings them assurance that I am safe and can be trusted to respect them and their well being. After trust is built with them, they are often open to playing; and this builds a stronger bond. Additionally, I will follow the routines and rules that you have established for your pet(s). I’m ok with crating or not, administering medication, and spending quality time with your pet.
About: I'm an attentive, empathetic caregiver with a special love for cats and experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’m patient and observant, great with shy or sensitive animals, and I enjoy teaching dogs new tricks and commands. Whether your pet needs playtime, calm companionship, or structured care, I’m here to help them feel safe and loved while you're away. I can do pet care anytime before or after my current full time job, or on my days off; the hours are a little different from your traditional work day, so that leaves me free to care for your pet when you can’t! Below is my daily availability: Mon: 8 AM - 8:30 PM Tue: Before 9 PM, after 6 PM Wed: Before 9 PM Thu: Before 9 PM, after 6 PM Fri: Before 9 PM, after 6 PM Sat: 8 AM - 8:30 PM Sun: 8 AM - 8:30 PM I take the utmost care to make sure your pet is safe and happy in their home while you're away! I used to own a husky, so I'm very used to making sure no runners go bolting out the door, and I will make sure your pet gets ample time to get to know me before I move about the house too much. I have a very anxious cat myself, and am very willing to take things slow if necessary so that your pet can be as comfortable with me as possible. While I'm there, I'll make sure our pet has everything they need to thrive while you're away, from ample food and water to plenty of fun and engaging interaction.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my entire life, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I’m a trained dog foster for the San Diego Humane Society, and I have hands-on experience caring for dogs with a variety of different temperaments and needs. I am comfortable caring for dogs that are excitable, as well as shy dogs that need a gentler approach. I’m attentive, active, and committed to making every pet feel comfortable. I am a recent graduate (go Aztecs!), so I am home most of the day. I am very active, and would love to take your dog along with me on walks along Mission Bay! I live in a tidy apartment with three female roommates who LOVE dogs and will definitely give your fur baby extra attention. You will receive lots of photos and updates while your pup is in my care! I have gained experience fostering for the San Diego Humane Society, but have no dogs in my care at this time, so your dog will be the only pet in our home (and get all the love)!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
