Our dog is an old boy and can be a little defensive at times, and pretty slow-moving, but Sam was super patient with him. Sam walked him for a full 30 minutes and from what I can tell, he just let our dog take it slow, sniffing (and peeing on) all the things along the way, which is his absolute favorite thing to do. About: I’ve grown up with small dogs and I love dogs of all sizes and ages. I just graduated college with a degree in animal biology and my full time job doesn’t start until September. This means that I have a wide open schedule to work around your dog walking needs! As a baseline, I walk between 3-8 miles per day so I can easily accommodate your dog’s preference! I don’t have any animals of my own but I have watched my friends’ pets in the past and love it! I have experience walking dogs and taking care of them on overnights. I have experience with senior dogs and dogs taking medications as well. My schedule is flexible and open, so feel free to reach out with any type of request! My full time job doesn’t start until mid September so I have a very free schedule. I am an early bird and like to stay active! This means that I can walk anytime between 6am-6pm and for as long as needed! While my home doesn’t allow pets, I will be sure to carefully abide by any directions you leave for your pets and respect your space as if it were my own!

About: Growing up, we always had dogs in my house – my first being a Boxer we brought home when I was 2 years old. I love the energy that animals bring to a home, life is just a little easier when you're sitting down petting a beloved pet! I currently have a cat named Ivy and we live with a sweet dog named Zelda. We love to play, go on walks, and cuddle after we're worn out from all the activity. I started taking care of neighbors' pets when I was first trying to earn money way back in middle school and I remember enjoying every minute of it, so why not bring that joy back? I'm so excited to meet and play with your dogs and cats! I am currently in grad school, so – aside from when I need to be in physical classes – I’m able to work from anywhere and be flexible with my schedule! I am always mindful of pets’ different temperaments. I do want to be sure your pet feels comfortable and is taken care of! I’m sure to be careful around doors and gates to keep your pets safe.

About: You know when you’re out in public and your dog unexpectedly rushes straight over to say hi to a random (specific) person then needs to be physically pulled away even after they got the attention they wanted? For some reason, I’ve always been that random but specific person. Sometimes it feels like dogs suddenly materialize in front of me or like their “hello” is really more of a “it’s about time you got here!” Dogs (and cats, for that matter) also tend to insist on cuddling up next to me instead of their usual pick when I visit their homes (and I’m certainly not complaining). I currently only have cats, but I grew up with three dogs (a chocolate lab, a miniature schnauzer, and a Pomeranian) and have learned how to love both in the ways they want me to love them. What I love most about dogs is how pure they are. We all appreciate their undying loyalty, of course, but the sweet, unconditionally caring emotional presence that dogs carry themselves with is one of the things that makes life worth living. I consider non-human animals to be people too, and dogs are definitely among the best non-human animals. I would be just as excited as your dog(s) would be to make a new friend! My availability is flexible in general but particularly in terms of the time of day. I have a circadian rhythm difference that makes my sleep “schedule” change throughout each week, so if I’m given sufficient notice (48 hours), I’m easily able to modify my waking hours if your pet has time-sensitive needs. As mentioned in my bios, animals seem to naturally see me as a Disney princess. However, even though I’m very confident that I’ll get along with your pet(s) without any issues, their friendship is theirs to give, not mine to demand. Their needs are my top priority (and would be even if I weren’t petsitting); I recognize that some animals need lots of time and space to truly feel safe, and giving them that time and space is the only way to create a mutually comforting environment. Even if your dog/cat actually is insatiably social and unfailingly affectionate, I want to be sure that I get an idea of any individual boundaries or strong preferences beforehand so that I’m able to treat them with the same respect and care that I would a human person. As far as dogs and cats that want lots of love and affection, I am happy to give and share it! My cats sleep with me most nights and I often have one on my lap or next to my leg throughout a given day. Either way, I’ll follow your pet’s lead.

About: Hi there! All my life I have been an animal lover and for the last 8 years I have raised my own dog, and taken care of other dogs for families I used to babysit for. I can fit in any lifestyle your pet has, whether they are active or a stay-at-home. I can fit any accommodation as I work from home, love to exercise (so your dog would get plenty of it, if need be), and I'm incredibly flexible and will be normally free to help you more than not. At the same time, I raised my dog since she was a puppy so I do have experience with younger, more energetic dogs and overall I would simply love to help and treat your dogs like family. I hope we can talk soon! I'm super flexible and work from home at the moment so I basically can take care of your dogs whenever you may need it. I will certainly be more free for your dog rather than not! I will care for your pet in your home however you see fit. I do what is asked and can fit any accommodation whether your dog has a lot of needs, or simply needs a walk and some playtime. I'm happy to help however it may be!

Over the years, I’ve helped with daily walks, feeding, playtime, training reinforcement, and making sure they get plenty of attention and exercise. Growing up with dogs has taught me how important patience, consistency, and understanding each dog’s unique personality is when caring for them. I’m currently a graduate student doing research, which gives me a fairly flexible schedule and allows me to accommodate walks throughout the week. I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, so fitting dog walks into my daily routine comes naturally. Whether your dog needs a quick walk, regular exercise, or some extra attention during the day, I’ll work to provide reliable and consistent care. When caring for pets, my priority is always making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I understand every dog has different personalities, energy levels, and routines, so I try to adapt to what works best for them. Whether in your home or out on walks, I focus on keeping pets safe, giving them plenty of attention, and following any instructions or routines you provide to ensure consistency and trust.

About: I grew up in a pet-loving family with at least three or more pets at a time! Before joining Rover, I would care for my co-workers pets any time they needed. I have experience with dogs of all ages and can administer medication if needed. Feel free to ask me any questions! I have an extremely flexible schedule now that I am working from home which allows me to care for pets 24/7! I can give potty breaks and go on walks as needed as well as closely monitor your pet throughout the day. I take pet-sitting extremely serious since I want them to feel as comfortable as possible. Growing up with pets of all sorts has taught me to read their body language and care for them as needed. I walk my dog, Chester, multiple times a day and play fetch to make sure he gets enough exercise even on days we don’t go to the park.
