“Sebastian was fantastic with my boy!! Sanders absolutely loves him, and comes home from every walk happy and tired. I had never had to use a dog walker before but Sebastian made me feel completely comfortable and confident he was in good hands. Sanders and I will happily request his help for future walks anytime!”

About: I love animals, and I have always grown up around them. I take pride in creating safe and loving environments for every animal. I am safety oriented, reliable, and affectionate with every animal I care for. I have been taking care of animals for five years. I am currently a college student home for the sunmer, I have an open schedule as of now and I am open to any options. To me the most important thing when I go away on a trip is making sure my dog is taken care of, is safe and loved. I make sure I provide the same care to every animal I care for as I would expect my animals to receive when I go away. Safety is my number one priority when it comes to caring for animals. I am very tentative whether it is making sure the dogs or cat don’t run out of the front door, making sure they are safe on their walks, and always making sure they have clean water and food at the times they are expected to eat. I am a very caring and loving person especially with animals and I would love to take care of your animals so you have no worries when you go on trips!

“Michelle was amazing walking/hanging out with our two dogs at the last minute. Super communicative and professional and is a real-deal animal lover, really gets how much we love our fur babies. Will rebook.”

“Vicenza, has been so great with my dog Marley! It takes Marley a long time to warm up to people and to trust them…and Vicenza has managed to do gain her trust in a short period of time.”

“If you want the best dog walker, don't look any further. Dan is by far the best dog walker. He is kind to Bella, provides the best care, and was willing to add me to his schedule during the holiday season when I got sick.”

“Brett is great with our girls. I’m so glad that he’s been able to do this for us! I would highly recommend him great communication, punctual, and overall just a wonderful person.”

“Sarah did a great job giving my dogs a midday walk! Her communication is super fast and thorough. She is caring and professional, and I would definitely recommend her!”

“Jennifer is wonderful! Clearly loves dogs, responsible, communicative and an incredible help. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her and having her walk our dogs regularly. She’s good at creating boundaries with the dogs when it comes to jumping up in excitement, etc. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a top notch dog walker!”

About: I have always loved dogs since I was a child. I decided to have my first own doggy 6 years ago and my life completely changed. I pursued a theoretical course to become a dog trainer, but I have never completed the practical one due to a lack of time. I moved here from Italy three months ago (with my husband, our two cats and one dog) and now I have the opportunity to embrace my biggest passion: pets/animals. Mountains, nature and open spaces have always been my greatest source of experience and inspiration. I work for a full time job few months ago, so I can dedicate time to your pets after 4 pm only. I’m not ready to offer the home sitting service since I need to understand how our pets can behave with clients’ ones in overnight mode. We have a small fenced yard, one dog and two cats ready to meet and keep your pets company. We have no kids for now, so it could be easier for your fur friends.
About: Every since I was a little girl I’ve craved interaction with all different kinds of animals. I’ve done volunteer work at the animal shelter, house sat for friends and family and have even owned my fair share of dogs. I am not able to get a dog right now due to my busy schedule, so I would love to be there for those looking for some extra help! More than willing to send you pictures and updates as I take care of your loved one! Our apartment has a little puppy park out back and beautiful trails around it. Our apartment is very welcoming to animals and I’m sure your pup would get love from the whole building! Please consider me when looking for a caretaker ♥️
“Chelsea is very knowledgeable about dogs, and shared her knowledge on her 1st walk with Zingo. She is also open to suggestions and helps to keep his training consistant.”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, and have done a lot of overnight sitting/dog walking. I’m also super active so if pets need some extra exercise, that’s great. I’m super reliable, and a division 1 student-athlete so I have great time management. I’m home from Duke for the summer, so I’m almost completely flexible to fit in any pet care into your schedule! Happy to come by any time and go for a long walk, run, or whatever you need. I’m very comfortable with taking care of pets in the comfort of your home. I understand that different homes have different rules, and am very respectful of the different needs of each home. My main goals are to keep BOTH you and your pet happy.
“Shelby was fantastic with Asuna! She was punctual, attentive, and made sure Asuna got plenty of exercise and attention. Asuna came back happy and tired—definitely looking forward to booking with Shelby again!”

About: With over 10 years of dog/cat sitting experience, I’m dedicated to providing reliable, loving care for every pet. I value building long-term relationships with the families I work with and pride myself on being flexible, dependable, and communicative. I also send regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away!! I’m currently a student at CU Boulder, So I have plenty of time on my hands! I’m very flexible and can make almost anything work! I have a large backyard and 2 friendly dogs who love to play, as well as an extra dog crate. I’m also comfortable staying at your home so your animals can feel at ease!!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Louisville
I debated about leaving this review because I honestly wanted to keep Jordan to myself buuuuuut..... that would be unfair to Jordan so, here it is. Our girl Nova is a pit bull, and if you have one, you know. She's strong, she's energetic, and she does NOT warm up to just anyone. We had booked Jordan for a two-week house sit and he came by for a meet and greet beforehand. I'll be honest, I was a little nervous — Nova can be picky. But she took to him right away. Like, immediately. My husband and I both looked at each other like, okay, this is our guy. Then life happened. We had a family emergency and had to cancel on Jordan last minute. He was so understanding about it, no awkwardness, no attitude, just kindness. That really stuck with me. And THEN — still in the middle of everything — Nova ended up alone at home longer than we'd planned. I reached out to Jordan basically in a panic and he showed up for her without hesitation. Knowing she was in good hands while we were dealing with so much was genuinely such a relief. We travel a lot and finding someone I actually trust with Nova is hard. Jordan is our first call from here on out. If you have a big, strong, stubborn dog and need someone who gets it — he's your person.

Larisa did a great job in walking our dog Luca, a 65-pound English Shepherd. I felt confident going out of town for a week and leaving him in her hands. I knew her experience in dog training would keep him safe. Besides that, he loved her and could wait to take his walks!

Highly recommend! Communication was clear and reliable from start to finish, which gave me peace of mind. When I returned, my dogs were happy and relaxed. I really appreciate the effort he put into giving them a good, long walk. If you’re looking for someone dependable who truly cares about your pets’ exercise and well-being, this is your person!

- 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
