“Lindsay has been wonderful with our pup, Hudson! She took the time to get to know Hudson before beginning his regular walks, which gave us great peace of mind and made the transition seamless. Hudson has a lot of energy and Lindsay does an excellent job ensuring he gets the exercise and activity he needs. She is also highly responsive, organized and proactive with scheduling, which we greatly appreciate. We’ve had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Lindsay to anyone looking for a reliable, caring and professional dog walker”

“Becky is great. I really appreciate the daily updates in the Rover card and the level of detail in the notes. She takes the time to be patient with my dogs and their individual needs. This is particularly appreciated with my more reactive girl as she needs a little extra sometimes when she has bigger feelings on things. Will definitely be keeping Becky at the top of the list for any future sitting.”

“Thank you so much for being such a good friend to our pets. We're sorry to be moving away - Bruno, Enzo and Micki, especially - but if we come back to the area, we'll be sure to find you!”
“Jennifer has been my sitter for over a year now. Recently I added a black lab for her to watch as well. Thought the visit she was extremely communicative with both pets as to their needs and how they were doing.”

“Krista is the type of human you just instantly trust with your animals. She is warm, friendly, and showed strong responsibility and organization with our booking requests. We’re excited to have her as our weekly walker! :)”

“Very communicative and flexible, Sophia did a great job taking care of our golden, even when some surprise medical issues came up last minute. Very happy to have had her watching our pup while I was stuck at an important work event and wanted to make sure our girl still got good love and care! Incredibly grateful for her help and would book again!”

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments—from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra patience and gentle care. I’ve grown up around dogs and have consistently provided walking, feeding, bathing, medication support, and basic training reinforcement (including leash manners and crate training). I currently have a very flexible schedule as I prepare for my board exams in July. I am home most days and able to provide consistent care throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight stays if needed. Pet care easily fits into my daily routine, and I enjoy building my study breaks around walks, playtime, and check-ins with pets. I prioritize safety, consistency, and communication in every pet care situation. I follow each owner’s instructions closely and ensure pets are always supervised during walks and play. I am mindful of leash safety, environmental hazards, and pet stress cues. I also provide regular updates, photos, and check-ins so owners feel confident and connected while away. I live in a large 3-bedroom apartment with plenty of indoor space for dogs to move around, relax, and play comfortably. The building includes a luxury pet wash area and two on-site dog parks, making it easy to provide both cleanliness and exercise. Pets are welcome on all furniture unless otherwise specified by the owner, so they can feel at home and comfortable. I also have a well-trained 5-year-old Australian Shepherd who is friendly. She can provide companionship and playtime for social dogs, while I always ensure interactions are safe and appropriate based on each pet’s temperament. Pets will never be left alone together!!

About: What sets me apart is that I’m calm, attentive, and really tuned in to what your pet needs in the moment. I'm not just there to check a box and leave- I pay attention to their behavior, energy, and comfort level and make sure they're comfortable and happy! I have a strong, high-energy dog of my own, so I’m very used to leash pulling, bigger breeds, and big personalities. I’ve also gone through post-surgery recovery with him, including meds, routines, and keeping things low-key when needed. I take reliability seriously - I show up when I say I will, communicate clearly, and treat your pet like they matter (because they do). I also genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so your pet is getting someone who's excited to be there and meet them! Pet care fits pretty naturally into my routine. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to plan my day around walks or drop-ins and be consistent with timing. I’m already used to structuring my day around my own dog, so adding in other pets feels easy and not rushed. When I’m there, I’m present and focused on them! I like to keep things as close to your pet’s normal routine as possible. I follow whatever instructions you leave around feeding, walks, meds, and anything else they need. During visits, I make sure they get what they need physically (walks, potty breaks, food), but also attention and lots of love! I’m also really mindful of your space! I keep things clean, lock up properly, and make sure everything is how you left it. Overall, I try to make it a low-stress, easy experience for both you and your pet.
“Katie was great! She arrived on time, communicated well and did everything we asked her. She kept us in the loop with status reports and pictures, which was great. Thanks Katie!”
“Christina is so awesome! She has been walking my 1 year old dog and he absolutely adores her. My dog is still young and has bad behaviors like pulling and biting on the leash that Christina handles very well. She is very reliable and gives a lot of love to the dogs she watches!”

“Brett is great with our girls. I’m so glad that he’s been able to do this for us! I would highly recommend him great communication, punctual, and overall just a wonderful person.”

“Aimee was amazing! She went above and beyond for my dog!!! She was extremely communicative about every dog walk/visit and listened to every detail I provided when caring for my dog! She's will go the extra mile for your pet and would recommend her! She really knew how to care for my elderly pup and was patient with him! Would book again! Thank you again Aimee!!!!”

“Alyson was fantastic! She was always quick to respond and very punctual, which gave me great peace of mind. She took great care of Winston and he was happy and comfortable with her. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again! 5 stars”

“Charlie was very quick to respond to my last minute meeting with my dogs and also was able to confirm his availability for a potential trip I had coming up that week prior to our meeting. My dogs can be tough but they seemed to like him. He also let me walk with them for our first meeting so that I could show him their favorite spots and their tendencies which made me feel more comfortable. I ended up not having to take the trip but will ask him to still have walks with them so they can continue to feel more comfortable with him”

I am leaving my house with my dog in it to live in my apartment with my roommates, will probably not be able to board.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Superior
I debated about leaving this review because I honestly wanted to keep Jordan to myself buuuuuut..... that would be unfair to Jordan so, here it is. Our girl Nova is a pit bull, and if you have one, you know. She's strong, she's energetic, and she does NOT warm up to just anyone. We had booked Jordan for a two-week house sit and he came by for a meet and greet beforehand. I'll be honest, I was a little nervous — Nova can be picky. But she took to him right away. Like, immediately. My husband and I both looked at each other like, okay, this is our guy. Then life happened. We had a family emergency and had to cancel on Jordan last minute. He was so understanding about it, no awkwardness, no attitude, just kindness. That really stuck with me. And THEN — still in the middle of everything — Nova ended up alone at home longer than we'd planned. I reached out to Jordan basically in a panic and he showed up for her without hesitation. Knowing she was in good hands while we were dealing with so much was genuinely such a relief. We travel a lot and finding someone I actually trust with Nova is hard. Jordan is our first call from here on out. If you have a big, strong, stubborn dog and need someone who gets it — he's your person.

We booked Alisha to take Oreo on a walk while we were away. Alisha was extremely communicative and let us updated during the booking. Some schedule adjustments had to be made but she was very quick to respond so that Oreo was able to go out today. Thanks Alisha!

Larisa did a great job in walking our dog Luca, a 65-pound English Shepherd. I felt confident going out of town for a week and leaving him in her hands. I knew her experience in dog training would keep him safe. Besides that, he loved her and could wait to take his walks!

Highly recommend! Communication was clear and reliable from start to finish, which gave me peace of mind. When I returned, my dogs were happy and relaxed. I really appreciate the effort he put into giving them a good, long walk. If you’re looking for someone dependable who truly cares about your pets’ exercise and well-being, this is your person!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
