“Becky took great care of my senior cat. She followed medication and food instructions carefully. My cat was happy and calm when I got home, so I know Becky provided ample play time and pets during her visits. She also took out our trash and brought the mail in which was very appreciated.”

“Jordan was absolutely amazing watching my fur baby!!! She provided detailed updates and pictures every visit, and was so attentive and caring. My cat ended up throwing up while I was gone, which I of course was extremely worried about, but Jordan was so awesome ensuring me he was okay with open line of communication, updates with pictures and being flexible to add additional visits to monitor him. So grateful for her attentiveness and care! Jordan truly cares about your fur baby. 100% I would recommend booking with her.”

“Rachael is amazing- she is prompt, courteous, communicative, knoweldgable and so sweet with our 11 week old Chocolate Lab. She has taken wonderful care of her, helped her adjust to her crate with lots of extra help that she went out of her way to do. We trust her in our home and would 100% recommend and will use her again. Thank you so much, Rachael :) - Charlie & The Gibbs”

“Ashley was very helpful when I found out right before my trip that one of my cats would need to be on antibiotics while I was gone. She was flexible with scheduling, very attentive to the cats' needs, and made sure my kitty got his meds on time each day.”

“Jennifer was fantastic! She kept us well informed and sent the best pictures. We had a snafu with our code lock and she let us know and didn’t leave until we had an alternative on the way. I’m pretty sure when I got home from my trip my pets were disappointed it was me and not Jennifer dropping in!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments since I was young, from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra patience and attention. Having owned breeds such as Huskies and Malamutes, I’m comfortable handling high-energy dogs and adapting to a wide range of personalities and needs. My experience has taught me how to provide dependable, attentive care while making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me plenty of time to spend with your pets and make sure they get lots of attention, playtime, and care. On days I work my other job, I’m available after 2:00 PM. On my days off, I have full availability and can dedicate the entire day to your pup’s needs and routine. I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while staying in their own home and routine. I’ll provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks, feeding, fresh water, and any specific care instructions you leave for me. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I’ll treat your home and your animals with the same care and respect I would my own.
“Alyson was so wonderful to work with and so attentive! She took such great care of my little dog while I was away. I will definitely be contacting her again in the future!”

“Megan went way above and beyond this last visit! She offered to check in on our cat an extra time during the bitterly cold weekend and she shoveled our front steps and sidewalk without me even asking. Thank you again Megan!”

“Margie is amazing. She is loving and kind and so caring. Rocky loves when she gets times with her. I do as well. Love her energy so much. Grounding and kind. Highly recommend Margie.”

About: I am loving and respectable to all dog breeds. I understand that every dog parent has different care/ training for their pets. I also understand how worrying it can be to leave your dogs in the care of a new person. I try my best to be as knowledgeable able and caring with all dog breeds and personalities. I will currently be working most week days of June. But am able to provide early mornings, evening, and weekends to pet sitting. For the month of July I will be able full time. I will be able to provide a calm and caring environment for all animals. I will also be able to match the pace of animals that need a more stimulating environment.
“Communicative and reliable! Did great handling our rather complicated dog! Was able to take her on walks even though she can have behavioral issues and gave her meds without issue! Great trustworthy drop in sitter, would love to use his services again!”

“Jenna was awesome! She kept us up to date and provided lots of pics, she took such good care of the fur babies. They were happy and well loved while we were away”

About: I am very good with dogs, I grew up with them my entire life and they have always loved me. I have experience taking care of cats as well. I have watched my friends’ and family members’ pets for years and have decided to expand my love and care for them by joining Rover. I take great care of them and always make sure they get the care they deserve (including getting exercise and lots of snuggles). I am available throughout the year although I work as a substitute teacher during the school year so my availability might be more limited than it is during summer time but I will keep my calendar updated. I am not currently available for boarding, but I am available for house sitting, full length days, overnight stays, drop ins and potty breaks, and walking. A majority of my days are free if booked in advance and I can stay with your pet all day. I will keep my schedule updated as often as possible. I love taking dogs on nice long walks. I’m very loving and affectionate with dogs— they will get plenty of attention. I will follow the owner’s instructions when it comes to how they want their pet cared for (food, treats, medication, avoiding dog parks, exercise, etc.).
“Daniel does a great job with the pups, and we're absolutely booking again so we dont have to worry about them when we're at work. Also, the guy takes some awesome pictures of them on the walks!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Superior
Curtis was a fantastic cat sitter. Our normally very skittish cat allowed Curtis to pet him, and waited for him to show up every afternoon. He is attentive, prompt, and trustworthy. We enjoyed the photos he sent everyday, and his helpful updates. We look forward to booking him for all of our upcoming trips
Margie did a wonderful job with our cat Mackenzie. We are soooo grateful. Mackenzie is 19 years old and needed one pill per day, plus some cuddles to keep the stress of our absence down. We had detailed notes about his food needs, too. Margie was so kind and made sure he got his medicine, his food, and his cuddles. She sent us beautiful photos and we felt very reassured having her with him while we were out of town on a family emergency.

Lauren was amazing. We could tell from all her pictures that our cat was having a great time playing and she also made sure to give him treats. Lauren was quick to respond to all of my messages and made sure to accommodate any of my requests. She clearly has a way with animals. Hope we can book her again!

Madeleine was awesome with our cat Cloud! His attitude can change day to day but she took it in stride and I think he even warmed up to her by the end. She clearly knows how to care for (and deal with) cats - this was shown even more when I got home to find that she had taken out the litter trash, cleaned all the food bowls, and refilled both the litter and his water fountain when I never asked her to do any of that! She was always communicative from the first meeting to the last check in with Cloud. Booking her was the best decision!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
