About: You know when you’re out in public and your dog unexpectedly rushes straight over to say hi to a random (specific) person then needs to be physically pulled away even after they got the attention they wanted? For some reason, I’ve always been that random but specific person. Sometimes it feels like dogs suddenly materialize in front of me or like their “hello” is really more of a “it’s about time you got here!” Dogs (and cats, for that matter) also tend to insist on cuddling up next to me instead of their usual pick when I visit their homes (and I’m certainly not complaining). I currently only have cats, but I grew up with three dogs (a chocolate lab, a miniature schnauzer, and a Pomeranian) and have learned how to love both in the ways they want me to love them. What I love most about dogs is how pure they are. We all appreciate their undying loyalty, of course, but the sweet, unconditionally caring emotional presence that dogs carry themselves with is one of the things that makes life worth living. I consider non-human animals to be people too, and dogs are definitely among the best non-human animals. I would be just as excited as your dog(s) would be to make a new friend! My availability is flexible in general but particularly in terms of the time of day. I have a circadian rhythm difference that makes my sleep “schedule” change throughout each week, so if I’m given sufficient notice (48 hours), I’m easily able to modify my waking hours if your pet has time-sensitive needs. As mentioned in my bios, animals seem to naturally see me as a Disney princess. However, even though I’m very confident that I’ll get along with your pet(s) without any issues, their friendship is theirs to give, not mine to demand. Their needs are my top priority (and would be even if I weren’t petsitting); I recognize that some animals need lots of time and space to truly feel safe, and giving them that time and space is the only way to create a mutually comforting environment. Even if your dog/cat actually is insatiably social and unfailingly affectionate, I want to be sure that I get an idea of any individual boundaries or strong preferences beforehand so that I’m able to treat them with the same respect and care that I would a human person. As far as dogs and cats that want lots of love and affection, I am happy to give and share it! My cats sleep with me most nights and I often have one on my lap or next to my leg throughout a given day. Either way, I’ll follow your pet’s lead.

I provide fresh food and water, take dogs on walks, give them plenty of lovin and playtime, and make sure they get any specific care requested by the owner. I also enjoy keeping the home clean and tidy, sending updates when requested. But my priority will always be the pet's safety, comfort, and well-being while their human is away.

I have 3 cats of my own and work with dogs every single day. When I’m not walking dogs, I’m a certified trainer at PetSmart! While I don't offer private training outside of PetSmart, I am an experienced dog handler. I have plenty of time outside of work to help care for others animals. When I'm not working with pets, I'm writing or spending time with my own pets. I am a respectful house guest and will treat your pets and your home as if they were my own. I appreciate detailed and direct instruction when it comes to specific pet needs and entrance to the home if I am doing a stop in or walk.

About: I've been taking care of friends and neighbor's dogs since I was 16 and I love meeting new furry friends! I am highly familiar with active dogs, young dogs, and dogs with specialty diets/feeding routines. I am experienced in dealing with dogs with medical issues, and how to deal with medical emergencies in a calm and effective manner. I am a college student at CU Boulder, and am in classes most of the day Mon-Thurs. During the weekends I am very free, and enjoy going on hikes/runs and spending time reading and doing homework at home. This makes caring for pets on weekends very easy, as I spend a lot of time hanging out at home, and spending time outside, which is good for both active dogs, and dogs who enjoy more slow paced days. In my clients homes, I place a focus on attention on meeting individual pet needs, from midnight potty breaks, to lots of active play to keep dogs intellectually stimulated. I tend to keep a strict routine (eating, walking, sleeping at the same time) for pets but I am also very flexible to unique requests for pets.
