About: You know when you’re out in public and your dog unexpectedly rushes straight over to say hi to a random (specific) person then needs to be physically pulled away even after they got the attention they wanted? For some reason, I’ve always been that random but specific person. Sometimes it feels like dogs suddenly materialize in front of me or like their “hello” is really more of a “it’s about time you got here!” Dogs (and cats, for that matter) also tend to insist on cuddling up next to me instead of their usual pick when I visit their homes (and I’m certainly not complaining). I currently only have cats, but I grew up with three dogs (a chocolate lab, a miniature schnauzer, and a Pomeranian) and have learned how to love both in the ways they want me to love them. What I love most about dogs is how pure they are. We all appreciate their undying loyalty, of course, but the sweet, unconditionally caring emotional presence that dogs carry themselves with is one of the things that makes life worth living. I consider non-human animals to be people too, and dogs are definitely among the best non-human animals. I would be just as excited as your dog(s) would be to make a new friend! My availability is flexible in general but particularly in terms of the time of day. I have a circadian rhythm difference that makes my sleep “schedule” change throughout each week, so if I’m given sufficient notice (48 hours), I’m easily able to modify my waking hours if your pet has time-sensitive needs. As mentioned in my bios, animals seem to naturally see me as a Disney princess. However, even though I’m very confident that I’ll get along with your pet(s) without any issues, their friendship is theirs to give, not mine to demand. Their needs are my top priority (and would be even if I weren’t petsitting); I recognize that some animals need lots of time and space to truly feel safe, and giving them that time and space is the only way to create a mutually comforting environment. Even if your dog/cat actually is insatiably social and unfailingly affectionate, I want to be sure that I get an idea of any individual boundaries or strong preferences beforehand so that I’m able to treat them with the same respect and care that I would a human person. As far as dogs and cats that want lots of love and affection, I am happy to give and share it! My cats sleep with me most nights and I often have one on my lap or next to my leg throughout a given day. Either way, I’ll follow your pet’s lead.

About: All dogs are welcome for short stays. For longer stays, fit dogs only. I hike frequently and I'm only interested in petsitting dogs who are competent athletes and would love to join. We'll have an adventure! I have had pets my whole life. I currently have a 5lb Chorkie named Norman. He loves dogs and cats of all sizes and needs more friends. He has hiked up to 18mi at a time with his own legs and would love to do it with dog friends. I also have a cat, Archie. He loves well-behaved dogs. He does not like to be barked at. I have a yard where I can let dogs play, and I work for a pet toy and treat manufacturer. I work from home and can be available all day on weekdays and evenings. I'm away every 4th weekend and unavailable for pet sitting. Word. I have a fenced yard where dogs can play and I live right next to a park. I love hiking and snowshoeing and biking. I would be happy to take a bigger dog on adventures with me if I have any planned.

About: I currently work as an animal care attendant at a local dog day care and boarding facility. I have also had former experience caring for animals by volunteering at the Humane Society for over a year and a half and from previous dog sitting jobs. I specialize in dog care, but enjoy taking cat care opportunities as well. I am currently working part time and have extensive flexibility throughout weekdays, weekends, and holidays. I am able to fit pet care into my daily routine as my shifts are never very long, so I will be able to spend lots of time with your furry friends! I consider myself extremely attentive to pets and work hard to provide the care and love that your dog needs. I am highly detail focused and will strictly follow your home’s security protocols, ensuring things like doors are locked and alarms are set exactly as you instruct me to. When on walks, I pay close attention to your dog, keeping a strong grip on the leash and avoiding interactions with other dogs to keep your pet safe and prevent them from eating anything they shouldn’t. I am always happy to send frequent pictures/videos as well as updates while caring for your pet. My goal is always to maintain the normal routine of your pet so as to not stress them out anymore than they need to from being away from you!

About: Hello! My name is Megan, and I recently received my master’s degree from CU Boulder. As I search for a full-time position, I have a flexible schedule and would love to spend some time helping care for your pets. My main goal of being on Rover is to gain experience with dogs so that I can be prepared to adopt my own someday! To help me gain confidence and comfortability for achieving that goal, I would work best with smaller size dogs. I’m also happy to spend time with older dogs that may just want some companionship, attention, and a calm presence while their owners are away. While I haven’t owned a dog myself, I’ve helped care for friends’ dogs over the years. I’m dependable, organized, and flexible with scheduling. I’d love to learn more about your pet and how I can help! I’m currently job searching, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of free time throughout the day and week for pet care. We can work something out and I will adjust my schedule as needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I aim to follow the owner’s routine and instructions as closely as possible so their pet feels comfortable and cared for. I’m very mindful and respectful of household rules, including where I’m allowed in the home, feeding schedules, walk routines, and any specific care instructions. About: I have 2 dogs and have been taking care of them my whole life. I have also helped out family friends with their animals while on they are gone.
