“Ali is fantastic! This was our first time using Rover for our two cats and we are so glad we did! Ali took great care of our kitties, was easy to communicate with and sent us the sweetest updates! We immediately booked more services with Ali for the next time we travel :-)”

“Amy was very good with Gypsy when we first met and asked a lot of questions. She was super punctual and sent me cute pictures during the walks. Will definitely be using Amy again!”

“I needed a new Rover for some short notice drop-in sessions - Lindsey was SUPER! Very accommodating regarding the service but also remained engaged with my pet, sent loads of photos, and provided an in-depth visit summary afterwards. Since new to us, I appreciated that she texted me regarding any questions rather than proceeding when unsure. I’m excited to have found a new caregiver for our future needs and highly recommend Lindsey!”

“We are so happy we found Christina to take care of our two very high maintenance cats! She is a true animal lover, and so friendly, professional, prompt, and communicative. We will definitely be hiring her again!”

“Fiona took wonderful care of my cats while I was out of town. She was communicative, gave great daily updates and photos, and felt everything nice and tidy. I will definitely book with her again in the future!”

About: I have 17+ years experience volunteering at Humane Colorado (formerly Denver Dumb Friends League). My specialty is walking fearful, high arousal, or strong puller dogs, and a dog that loves to take their time and enjoy nature is always a joy! I also foster dogs of all ages, from newborn puppies to senior dogs, and have fostered a variety of SMAMS over the years. I have 2+ years experience giving sub-Q fluids and injections, and 17 years experience giving medications to all animals. I will give your pup(s) the best care while you are away! I am a current Jeffco educator. I work M-F from 7am to 3 pm. I am open to visit, walk and stay with your pet M-F after 3pm, any time of the day Saturday, and most of the day on Sunday. I volunteer at the shelter on Sunday, so that would be the only time I would have a scheduled absence. I am open to taking them outside on leash, supervising them even if there is a fenced yard, kenneling them or letting them sleep near me if that is what they are used to.

About: Your dog is a part of your family and I would love to help keep your baby fed walked and happy! I’ve been around animals my entire life! I grew up in a house with four dogs and a cat, so caring for pets has always been a normal part of my day. I have four siblings who all have multiple pets, and for the past 10+ years, I’ve been the go to person for pet sitting, walks, check-ins, feedings and all the love and attention. I’m comfortable will different breeds, sizes, ages and personalities. I understand all dogs have their own perfect quirks and routines and I would love to help keep your dog happy and healthy for you! I am a teacher and am available before and after school. 6-8 am and all evening after 3:30. I am available all weekends. I am happy to come stop in with your pet and take them on walks and give play time. I will follow any rules and routines that help run your house hold.
“Emily was amazing! We needed someone to feed/let out my dog for a few days in pretty short notice. She treated Kobe so well and always gave me updates while we were gone. I would recommend Emily to anyone looking for a sitter/check-in! Thank you so much Emily!”

“Fantasia as always! Katie takes such great care of our cats when we need to travel making leaving them behind stress free. Great communicator and truly cares for the pets she watches.”

“Margie did an awesome job visiting my pup and thoughtfully paying attention to her and her preferences! My dog was relaxed and happy after the visit. Would definitely recommend! :)”

“Rebecca was super communicative and flexible with our schedule changes. Lots of pics of our animals. Brought in a large package too. So helpful! Looking forward to booking again.”

“Paul is great! I decided to have him walk my pups before I head out of town in the event that there is an emergency. He was more than happy to come over a few weeks ago and meet with my pups and myself. I was surprised how receptive Oly was! She usually hides for a bit until she gets used to someone new. He topped off their water and food. I was concerned because Oly is a little neurotic and Bean has leash aggression. I forgot to mention how to use the gentle lead to Paul for my larger pup, but from the pictures he knows how to use them. Very happy with Paul and definitely will be a repeat weekly walk client. Thank you, Paul!!!”

About: New to rover but not new to caring for pets. I have learned every pet is different and has their own personality and preferences. I also have learned to adapt to our aging pet’s lifestyle and limitations but make sure we still provide adequate movement and stimulation for him. I am not certified trainer - and don’t consider myself one -but was able to potty train and teach our pet a few tricks and special family words we use with him. Our 13 y/o Chihuahua is protective but friendly, he will bark a lot at first until he gets acquainted and comfortable with others around him and us. We as a family (my husband and two children) enjoy going for walks and our children are also very caring and respectful with pets. I have a flexible work schedule and can adjust to your needs. I am available also on weekends and flexible with late/early drop off or pick up. We have a fenced yard at our home and the yard is spacious. Our home is a two story home. We also have plenty of areas to walk around the neighborhood and nearby trails (Standley lake, Arvada Parks & trails, Golden, Boulder). Our 13 y/o Chihuahua is crate trained. I do not have extra crates but can use your dog's/cat's crate as needed or as you instruct.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Leyden
Jodie was absolutely incredible! We felt completely at ease knowing our animals were in her care. She went above and beyond, and it was obvious how much attention, care, and love she gave them while we were away. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets, which means everything to us. We loved Jodie and will 100% trust her with our animals again. She will be our first call anytime we need a pet sitter. Highly recommend her!
Vanessa took great care of my two cats. She was very communicative and thoughtful about their individual needs. One of my cats is more timid, and she made sure he still ate by moving his bowl to where he was hiding so he could eat where he felt safe. She gave both cats lots of attention, and I felt very comfortable leaving them in her care.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Leyden. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
