“Ali is amazing! You can tell she really loves animals and caring for them as well as little things around the house. So glad we found her on Rover.com and will totally ask her again to watch our Golden and Berner.”

“Amy was very good with Gypsy when we first met and asked a lot of questions. She was super punctual and sent me cute pictures during the walks. Will definitely be using Amy again!”

“Taya was excellent! Quick message responses, and a super friendly demeanor. And best of all, *so* good with my dog. Don’t hesitate to book with Taya, she’s wonderful.”

“Rebecca was amazing to have watch our two kitties while we were in New Zealand. She came every scheduled time, took pictures and loved our kitties like her own. I definitely recommend her if you need your pets watched!”

“Holly always goes above and beyond for our cats- she opens and closes window shades so they can enjoy the view, turns on their toys, cleans their feeders, etc. We trust her completely and the cats adore her!”

“Tamara is amazing! She took such great care of my dog. She’s very responsible and responds quickly. I’m very grateful that I found someone who I trust to watch my dog.”

“Christina was a God send for my kitty who needed a pill each morning while I was gone. When doing our introductory meeting I was immediately comfortable leaving my kitty in her hands. She told me about her previous experience caring for a special needs kitty which put my worries to rest. She reported back to me everything I asked for, even noting fecal consistency. Which was important to pay attention to signs for constipation. She went above and beyond by bringing in packages and giving some loving to other resident cats in the home which she was not expected to care for. And then she got infinity brownie points when my return was delayed by a day and she was able to go back over and visit my cat within an hour notice after 8 pm. I would definitely rehire Christina.”

“Great first experience with Rover! Stephanie was very thoughtful with her visit notes and pictures taking care of our older kitty. We plan to contact her again the next time we need a cat sitter ❤️”

“Robyn helped us out on a last minute pinch with another cancellation. She was communicative and the dogs loved her. We look forward to booking with her again - next time with some more notice!!”

About: I have 17+ years experience volunteering at Humane Colorado (formerly Denver Dumb Friends League). My specialty is walking fearful, high arousal, or strong puller dogs, and a dog that loves to take their time and enjoy nature is always a joy! I also foster dogs of all ages, from newborn puppies to senior dogs, and have fostered a variety of SMAMS over the years. I have 2+ years experience giving sub-Q fluids and injections, and 17 years experience giving medications to all animals. I will give your pup(s) the best care while you are away! I am a current Jeffco educator. I work M-F from 7am to 3 pm. I am open to visit, walk and stay with your pet M-F after 3pm, any time of the day Saturday, and most of the day on Sunday. I volunteer at the shelter on Sunday, so that would be the only time I would have a scheduled absence. I am open to taking them outside on leash, supervising them even if there is a fenced yard, kenneling them or letting them sleep near me if that is what they are used to.
“Fiona took wonderful care of my cats while I was out of town. She was communicative, gave great daily updates and photos, and felt everything nice and tidy. I will definitely book with her again in the future!”

“Jennifer is an amazing Rover employee. She agreed to do a drop-in with little notice and moved around her schedule to schedule a meet and greet. When the day of the drop-in came around and I needed to change the time of the appointment, she was very flexible and easy-going. Not to mention, she took great care of Abby by walking her, playing with her, and making sure her water bowl was full. I will definitely be asking Jennifer to watch Abby again!”
“Brittany was great with my two cats during a recent trip. Her daily updates and pics put my mind at ease, and the cats seemed happy when I got home showing they received plenty of love and playtime Brittany will be the first person I check with next time I need a sitter”

“Ashley is wonderful, she has taken care of my cats a few times, including a long 2.5 week trip, and she is by far the best sitter I’ve used through Rover. She really cares about my pets, cuddling and playing with them. She is really communicative and responsive. Highly recommend!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Leyden
Vanessa took great care of my two cats. She was very communicative and thoughtful about their individual needs. One of my cats is more timid, and she made sure he still ate by moving his bowl to where he was hiding so he could eat where he felt safe. She gave both cats lots of attention, and I felt very comfortable leaving them in her care.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Leyden. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
