About: I love to walk and run with dogs! I also like hosting or checking in on cats! I am great at connecting with animals and making sure that their needs are being met. I have spent most of my life around animals and recently lost my cat. I am hoping to share some love with your pet! I work full time and I am available on weekends to host dogs. Cats I can host any time and play after work! I'm free in the evenings for walks and check ins. I have an apartment that is clean and safe for pets. I do not have a yard, but my place is set up for cats with a scratching post and toys!
About: I’m a detail oriented, caretaker who treats pets like family, not just a checklist. Someone with great communication skills, a calm confident demeanor and a desire to create a bond with my clients and their pets. Lover of animals all shapes and sizes🫶 I’ve dealt with reptiles, hamsters, crabs, fish, dogs and cats my entire existence. I am currently in a hybrid travel role where 2/3 weeks of the month I’m fully remote. I am 100% available during those remote weeks. I’m an early riser and free most evenings:) I treat all pets and animals like they’re my family, think playful and nurturing! Not afraid to get dirty, build up a sweat, or do whatever it takes to make sure our furry friends (or not so furry) feel loved, and nurtured 🫶
“Absolutely stellar experience with Mary! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process and truly great with our dog, Honey Bear. From the moment they met, it was clear that Honey Bear felt comfortable and happy in her care. Mary was also very flexible and kind, especially when our plans unexpectedly changed — she handled everything with grace and understanding. It’s such a relief to know our pup was in such good hands. Would definitely recommend Mary to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!”

“Jacquie was literally the best dog sitter we have ever had. She was so attentive, careful, and truly amazing. If she lived in Houston she would be our go-to sitter every single time. She takes this job very serious and it's so comforting as a dog mom! The girls absolutely loved her! 10000/10!!!🔥🥰❤️”

“Haley is helping us with our people nervous/shy pup and she is great! It is clear she understands dog body language and will meet the dog where they are at. Our pup, Finn, adjusted really well to Haley at our first meet n greet. Would highly recommend to anyone with a dog that needs a bit of extra care.”

“Greg and Hilary are fantastic pet sitters! From the very first meeting, they were incredibly patient and kind — my 11-year-old wanted to give them the full rundown of instructions, and they listened attentively to every detail without rushing her at all. It clearly meant a lot to her that Greg and Hilary took it so seriously. They were flexible and accommodating throughout the whole process, and kept us updated with photos and check-ins while we were away. We will absolutely be booking with him again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wheat Ridge
Melina was amazing and super helpful during our long weekend trip out of town to watch our two kitties. Very thorough, super nice, compassionate, and thoughtful with both of them. Thank you so much again for watching our fur babies. Will rebook in the future when we have another trip. 5 stars!

First time booking Aubrey, and she delivered exactly as promised! She was friendly at our first meet-up, asked all the right questions, and followed through on every detail. The kitties were happy and relaxed when I returned, and the place was spotless—she even cleaned up a little throw-up! Thank you, Aubrey. Will definitely book again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wheat Ridge. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
