“Taylor went above and beyond to make sure Jax was comfortable and taken care of. We recently moved so he’s been very suspicious of strangers, but he loved her instantly. We will definitely be repeat clients”

“If Jessica has availability, I always prefer to book with her. She takes such great care of our kitties and goes above and beyond. Despite how fussy our kitties can be at times, she always cares for them as if she were their owner.”

“Would recommend Kristen to any of my friends or family! She was able to drop-in on short notice and was communicative, punctual and kind throughout. Pups were well cared for and at ease when I got home. I’d definitely book with her again.”

“Megan was so great! She was able to stop by on semi- short notice for our dogs for a few days, and was awesome with her thorough updates and check-ins, and even went above and beyond for other tasks while we were away, too. Would recommend! Thanks Megan!”

“Janelle was wonderful with my dog. Great daily updates and really nice photos! She was very kind and professional and I hope to have her sit again! Thank you, Janelle!”

About: My husband and I are extremely active outdoors. We're always walking around our neighborhood, nearby parks, and hiking in the mountains. We love our pets and enjoy spending time with furry friends. We have a super sweet 8 year old Golden Retriever named Walter and a 9 year old sweet Cat named Princess (she also loves dogs). We have experience with most breeds after hosting and caring for Pups on Rover since 2018. During the day, I run a small business and also teach yoga. My schedule is flexible to accommodate your pups schedule. However, I may be gone between 4-6 hours at a time. My husband can also serve as backup for potty breaks if necessary. I’m the only one who would stay overnight if we make arrangements for overnight stays. We've both had pets our whole life of various needs so we will be accommodating to anything you and your pet need! We follow instructions well. We would love to meet you and your pets! Have a good day! *If you are a returning customer and my calendar is showing unavailable, please email me anyway. If we are in town we would be happy to still host our repeat clients! I own a small business so I have flexibility with my schedule and work demands. I can be available most days and nights to be with your pet as you may recommend. My husband may also help me if for any reason I have a minor conflict. I love morning and evening walks and happy to take your pup along! We start the day with a feeding and going out back to play or for a walk. Happy to do a midday potty break or walk if needed. Evenings I can follow a feeding schedule and downtime as prescribed by the pet parent.
“Adri has been an absolute delight to work with! She is great with my dog, Fermi, who can be pretty shy and nervous, is very responsive over text, and has rearranged her schedule to work with what we need. I would absolutely recommend Adri to others looking to get their pup some love while they are out and about.”

About: I love dogs of all sizes. I adopted my labrador retriever mix 8 years ago and she is old and stays to herself the majority of the time. I will take them to parks to let them play. Im available everyday after 5pm. I can do drop in visits right before I go into before 6:30am. I am available during weekends. I am very flexible on Weekends. I can also house sit, on weekdays and weekends. My special skills consists of playing fetch, being acting and enthusiastic, and most importantly getting to know your dog and making his time with me comfortable. I cant wait to make new friends and make lots of memories. I’m currently working full time - a hybrid job so I have the flexibility of being home when is needed. I start work at 8am-4:30pm. I do live in a condo which is pretty spacious. There is a grassy area right outside of my condo which is very nice for potty breaks.
“Caroline was fantastic! Took amazing care of my cat and sent me lots of pics. I was reassured my entire trip knowing she was taking care of my cat. I highly recommend her!!”

“As a Rover sitter myself, I have pretty high standards for the care-taking of my dogs. Additionally, I tend to be a worry wart. Darian met all of our needs and more. She is attentive and caring. She took adorable photos every visit, and was very communicative. She made herself available in case I needed extra care for my dogs, and if I could give more stars I would. I will be booking with Darian again.”

“Abigail took such great care of our cat while we were away. She also gave us updates and was so prompt and communicative, which was very much appreciated. She sent so many photos to make us feel better about being away and know that our kitty was well taken care of. Would highly recommend!”

“Amy took excellent care of our pet rabbit! She gave us updates after each visit, took lots of photos and not only followed our care instructions but went above & beyond to keep his area clean and engage him. Would definitely recommend!”

“Erik was so great and patient with my senior pup. His affection for animals really shows and she adored him. Great communication with fun and detailed reports from each visit. We will definitely be using his services again and I highly recommend him.”

“Brae was super communicative and proactive. My cats look similar and she was the first sitter to immediately see the difference and treat them like the individuals they are. She clearly cared for my kitties and I felt very comfortable leaving them in her hands”

“Five Stars +++! My wife and I went on a 10 day international trip and hired Bethany to watch our two 16 year old cats, Minuit and Gizmo. Gizmo requires medication. There are also plants to be watered and mail to be collected. While we were away Minuit succumbed to kidney disease we were unaware had advanced so far. She became lethargic and unsteady when Bethany could even get her to stand. Bethany texted and called us abroad and got her to the local pet ER where I got on the phone with the vet. We agreed, given her condition and age, to euthanize her. The vet did not advise keeping her alive and suffering until we could return to see her. Bethany stayed with her as long as she could but just getting her to the ER was completely beyond her anticipated responsibilities or schedule. As traumatic as it was for us, it was also for her. We can’t say enough about how appropriately and compassionately Bethany handled the situation. She even asked the neighbors, who we put down as contacts, to look in on Minuit. Her last days and moments were full of love and compassion even though we weren’t there. We were glad to be able to talk to Bethany and thank her in person when we returned. And, BTW, Gizmo and all of our plants were happily cared for throughout. Given our absence, we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter to handle such a delicate situation.”

“Samantha is amazing!!! Always takes such good care of Victor (my fur child). The days that she visits him he’s always happier when I get home. I always pictures and updates as well. Highly recommend Samantha!”

“Madison provided excellent drop in service for my dog. Super great communication. I appreciated her flexibility and reliability and looking forward to booking with her again”

“Terri did a great job checking in on our 2 cats while we were away for a whole week! We came back to them relaxed and in good spirits. We got updates after every visit, and she even snuck in an additional visit after we were worried about one of our cats hiding.”

Jamie is amazing! She kept our cats company during our extended trip, made sure they had what they needed, we were so relieved to know how cared for they were. She also updated us on things at the house which was so helpful. We will definitely be repeat customers :)

Ellen did an amazing job caring for my two fur babies while I was out of town. She was reliable, attentive, and made sure they were well taken care of the entire time. She kept me updated with messages and photos during each visit, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about my pets and treated them like her own. I highly recommend Ellen to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and I would absolutely book with her again!

My cats warmed up fast to Kim because of her warmth and patience. Kim kept me updated in how they were adjusting and informed in their health and behavior each day. Really happy with how everything went. This was the first time I left the youngest cat for a week and bc of Kim it went great.

We’ve had many Rovers do drop-in visits for our 2 cats and Makenna was by far the best! The litter box was thoroughly cleaned better than any other Rover in the past and our very shy cat warmed up to her to the point of purring!! When we returned our cats were calm and happy. We will definitely book her again!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wheat Ridge. On Rover:

- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
