“Absolutely stellar experience with Mary! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process and truly great with our dog, Honey Bear. From the moment they met, it was clear that Honey Bear felt comfortable and happy in her care. About: I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and energy levels through family and friends. My responsibilities have included feeding, providing fresh water, walking, exercising, administering oral medications when needed, cleaning up after pets, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. As a U.S. Army veteran, I understand the importance of reliability, communication, and following instructions carefully. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make it a priority to stick to their routine, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and keep owners updated with photos and messages throughout each visit. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I'm committed to providing dependable, attentive care so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I'm currently a full-time college student, but I maintain a consistent schedule that allows me to provide reliable pet care throughout the week. Availability: Monday and Wednesday: Early morning–1:00 PM, and 7:00 PM–late Tuesday and Thursday: Early morning–11:30 AM, and 7:00 PM–late Friday to Sunday: Available all day I'm happy to accommodate early morning, evening, and weekend bookings. If your schedule is a little different, feel free to reach out—I’ll do my best to make it work whenever possible. Your pet's safety and well-being are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special care instructions before every booking. During walks, I keep dogs securely leashed unless we're in a designated off-leash area with your permission. I stay alert to my surroundings, avoid unsafe situations, and always make sure pets have fresh water, exercise, and plenty of attention. I understand how important communication is, so I'll send regular updates and photos to keep you informed while you're away. I treat every home with respect by keeping it clean, locking doors, and following all instructions exactly as requested. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and positive experience so both you and your pet feel comfortable and confident.

Linsey took great care of my cats while I was gone. She provided daily updates with lots of pictures and interacted with all of my girls. Linsey followed the directions I provided so that my cats were well cared for. Many thanks to Linsey for attending to my cats' needs.
Darian did a wonderful job with Mac! She was so communicative about how Mac was doing and the pictures were amazing - they kept me sane while being away from her so long. I am so grateful for Darian's attention and willingness to pivot when things went wrong. Darian was AMAZING!

Remi was an amazing pet sitter! She took such great care of my two cats while I was away and gave me real peace of mind. She was reliable, caring, and kept me updated, which meant so much to me. My cats can be very shy, but I could tell they were well looked after. She even went above and beyond by making sure everything was taken care of while I was gone. I highly recommend Remi to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you again, Remi, for taking such wonderful care of Noah and Naomi!

Jessica is the absolute best! We’ve used her at least a dozen times to watch over our two cats. She is responsive, clearly cares about their well-being and incorporates thoughtful ideas to make their lives a little better while their parents are away (moving boxes around, frozen churu treats, etc.). We will of course be booking her again!

Rachel took great care of our cat while we were away; she even went above and beyond and spent some extra time with him since he was in a playful mood while she was here. Based on his talkative chatter upon our return, our boy was happy spending time with her, and everything was neat and clean when we returned. It was easy to see that animals gravitate toward her kind demeanor. Will request her again the next time we are away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
