Hi! My name is Kendra and I have a lifelong passion for animals and lots of experience raising, training, and caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I am a responsible PhD student with a flexible work-from-home schedule during the week and open availability on weekends, your dogs will never be left alone for more than a couple hours while I’m at class or running errands. I live in a dog-friendly house with my animal-loving boyfriend and two well-trained, active, friendly dogs. I have extensive knowledge of dog training and behavior, and am incredibly dedicated to happiness oof your pups, no matter what their needs are. I can keep up with any of your preferred rules or training work; even while they stay with me, you’re the boss! I make time to take my two pups on walks, runs, to the park, or on a hike every single day, so any visiting dog will have the option to join us on a new adventure every time they stay with us. We would love to set up a meet and greet with you and your special pup and welcome them into the pack!

I take incredible care to make sure the pets I am caring for are comfortable and safe, through my attention to detail and life-long pet-care experience. From daily routines to little quirks, I make it a priority to learn what makes your pet feel at home, while staying proactive about any habits that need extra attention to keep them safe. Additionally, I have significant experience working with pets who are fearful, anxious, or reactive towards other animals or people. I approach these situations with patience and kindness, and will work with you and your pet to gain their trust and ensure they feel at ease!

This was our second time having Kendra watch our two large dogs at our home. Kendra always gives us daily updates and photos, which we love! Kendra has never had an issue with adapting to their routines and quirks, and we always find our home just as we left it.

Schedule
I am currently studying and working as a graduate student, and work mostly from home, so I have an incredibly flexible schedule to include caring for your pet! I consistently have time for drop-in visits and walks, even with short notice. I am always happy to be a friendly face checking in on your furry friend! I am also available for house sitting any day of the week, and have someone to care for my dogs at home so I can make your pets a priority while you’re away. On a typical day, I may need to leave briefly to attend meetings, run errands, or see my pups. However, I never need to leave for a typical 8hr work day, and never leave pets unattended for longer than they are accustomed. My flexibility allows me to match the schedule and routine that you and your pets prefer!
