“Dom was awesome house sitting our pets!! He was very professional and polite, sent us a ton of pictures, and took the dogs out on a walk everyday we were gone. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be using him again in the future!”

“Yeili took care of our two labs and cat while we were on vacation. She was very responsive and sent daily updates which we really appreciated. Our older dog needed extra care, due to an eye injury, so it was comfirting to know that she was in good hands.”

“As many others have already said. Mandy is a friggin super star. My husband and I were in Italy for a week for a wedding and I could always rely on her sending morning and bedtime snaps of our furbabies each day we were gone. Don’t think, just request her already!!!!”

“Kelly was so amazing!! We left for 7 nights and needed a sitter we could trust. She was communicative and sent many updates throughout the day. I was running in a race during my trip and she even created a sign for the race that was “from the dogs” that said “Go mom!” It was the cutest thing ever and an extra special gesture that let me know how caring and attentive Kelly is. 10/10 and I will 1000% be hiring Kelly again! I think everyone should hire Kelly except for the weekends when I need her lol”

“Braelyn was so awesome. She clearly loves animals and took such good care of our house. Everything was clean, bedding was washed, and the dogs seemed so relaxed when we got back. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be booking again :)”

About: I love dogs of all sizes. I adopted my labrador retriever mix 8 years ago and she is old and stays to herself the majority of the time. I will take them to parks to let them play. Im available everyday after 5pm. I can do drop in visits right before I go into before 6:30am. I am available during weekends. I am very flexible on Weekends. I can also house sit, on weekdays and weekends. My special skills consists of playing fetch, being acting and enthusiastic, and most importantly getting to know your dog and making his time with me comfortable. I cant wait to make new friends and make lots of memories. I’m currently working full time - a hybrid job so I have the flexibility of being home when is needed. I start work at 8am-4:30pm. I do live in a condo which is pretty spacious. There is a grassy area right outside of my condo which is very nice for potty breaks.
“I can’t say enough great things about Jenny! She watched my dog for almost 2 weeks while I was gone for my honeymoon and it was so relieving to have someone so attentive and caring. She sent me pictures multiple times a day and seemed to really bond with Layla. I hope to book her again more!”

“Natalie is a fantastic sitter. Not just great with the pups, but keeps a clean home. Comes well prepared and know dogs as well as anyone I know. She's on the short list of best dog sitter's in the region for sure.”

“Gio did an amazing job taking care of our plants, pets, and home! He was extremely communicative, shared photos and updates, and went above and beyond what was necessary. He handled the task of watering my needy bonsai trees every day and was truly invested in taking care of the house and everything within it. I can’t recommend him enough!”

“Zap dais a great job even while juggling challenging travel logistics and a major snow storm. I cam home from a long absence to a freshly washed and brushed pet and the house was clean!”

“Mckinzie treated our dogs so well! They are high energy pups and she took them for many walks and hikes during her stay. She sent lots of photos of them and left our house very clean. She also was intentional at the meet and greet to understand how to give our dogs the best care. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Sthefany and Jeshael were so kind and caring! They followed all of my instructions and sent me photos and updates throughout the day! My dogs absolutely loved them and felt safe and cared for with them. When I got home, my dogs were so tired! Both my home and my dogs were well cared for. Thank you!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wheat Ridge
Although it was a short stay, Mckinzie did a great job taking care of our pets and house during the holiday fireworks. The pups were comfortable and relaxed when we got home and she followed our requested instructions about taking them out, giving them a treat to relax, and our house rules. We appreciate Mckinzie being available to help on the holiday!

Morgan watched my fur babies for a week, house sitting while I was on vacation. She sent several updates, including pictures, had good communication regarding her work schedule and any time she would be away, and deescalated an unexpected tiff between my 2 dogs. She even checked with me about our trip departure and arrival times, stopping by for an extra walk on the last day to get some zoomies out before I flew home. The dogs seemed to love her, and I would definitely hire her again.

Ellie is definitely a dogsitter you can trust. My dog had a ruptured tumor on his heart on the day I left home, Ellie and I discussed the symptoms and then she was willing to bring my dog to ER. My dog survived through the night which was a miracle as the vet had doubts that he would make it. It is because of Ellie's assertiveness and diligence, my dog and I are able to spend more time together for time being until the cancer takes over.

Jennifer is fantastic! I went on vacation knowing my two pups were her top priority, with lots of walks, yard time, and cuddles to fill their days. She is attentive, administered meds and navigated other special needs, and communicated well. Book her the next time you’re heading out of town!

Erica did great watching our Great Pyrenees, Sully! She sent pictures and updates daily and was very communicative. When we came home the house was clean, Sully had fresh food and water, and she went above and beyond by washing the sheets and taking out the trash. Sully and his parents appreciate you!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wheat Ridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wheat Ridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wheat Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
