“Konner did an excellent job of taking care of Nessie and my home. He came to meet Nessie ahead of time and learn about her care. He kept me informed all weekend and my home was neat and tidy when I returned. I highly recommend Konner.”

“Natalie was an outstanding house and dog sitter. She took exceptional care of our Labradoodle, Hudson, making sure he got his medication on schedule, enjoyed long walks, and received plenty of love and cuddles while we were away. It was also wonderful that she brought her sweet dog, Junebug. The two dogs enjoyed each other’s company, and it was comforting to know Hudson had a canine companion while we were gone. When we returned home, our house was absolutely spotless. Natalie treated our home with the utmost respect and left everything impeccably clean. Throughout our trip, she kept us updated with photos and gave us complete peace of mind. We highly recommend Natalie to anyone looking for someone who is reliable, caring, trustworthy, and attentive. She went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have asked for better care for both Hudson and our home.”

“Mckinzie treated our dogs so well! They are high energy pups and she took them for many walks and hikes during her stay. She sent lots of photos of them and left our house very clean. She also was intentional at the meet and greet to understand how to give our dogs the best care. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Ella was an absolutely wonderful pet sitter for my dog, Bear, and my cat, Cheesecake. She kept me updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Both of my pets felt completely comfortable with her, and it was clear they were well cared for and happy. She also treated my home with so much respect — everything was spotless when I returned, and it honestly looked just as clean as when I left. Ella truly went above and beyond, and I would love to have her watch Bear and Cheesecake again in the future. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and thoughtful pet sitter!”

“Maddy takes exceptional care of our dogs and home and we’d happily recommend her to anyone. She’s communicative, kind, and responsible and most importantly, takes great care of our two dogs who can sometimes be nervous with new people.”

“Kelly was wonderful! Made an extra effort to meet and get to know my pups before pet sitting with them. She put my mind at ease while I was away and made sure to share plenty of updates and photos! So grateful for all of her help and wonderful care for my pups while I was away!”

“We are so grateful for the excellent care our dog received! Terri handled a complicated medication schedule with confidence and took amazing care of our dog through a few unexpected tummy issues and even a beeping smoke alarm. She kept us updated, was incredibly reliable, and truly went above and beyond. We had complete peace of mind while we were away and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Lauren was amazing! The dogs loved her and she kept me in the loop with updates and pictures throughout the day. Will absolutely ask Lauren to sit for the dogs again.”

“Jenny is a delightful, responsible, and animal-loving person who is our dog's new best friend. This was our second time having Jenny dogsit for us. Once again, she went above and beyond in taking great care of Cookie, who is not easily won-over. Jenny is an exceptional communicator and sent frequent pictures and updates. She also took such amazing care of our house and it was a weight off our shoulders to know she was here while we were away. We feel so fortunate to have found Jenny!”

About: I love dogs of all sizes. I adopted my labrador retriever mix 8 years ago and she is old and stays to herself the majority of the time. I will take them to parks to let them play. Im available everyday after 5pm. I can do drop in visits right before I go into before 6:30am. I am available during weekends. I am very flexible on Weekends. I can also house sit, on weekdays and weekends. My special skills consists of playing fetch, being acting and enthusiastic, and most importantly getting to know your dog and making his time with me comfortable. I cant wait to make new friends and make lots of memories. I’m currently working full time - a hybrid job so I have the flexibility of being home when is needed. I start work at 8am-4:30pm. I do live in a condo which is pretty spacious. There is a grassy area right outside of my condo which is very nice for potty breaks.
“Sthephany and Jeshael were fantastic about sending us lots of photos and checking in when one of the pups started to get an upset tummy (she's a sensitive baby) - we appreciated knowing they were being watched and loved on as best as S & J were able.”

Natalie provided extended care/multiple daily visits for my cats while one needed extra care following surgery. She went above and beyond - she spent many hours with them and carried out my requests wonderfully. She gave frequent updates, sent photos, kept track of medication administration, remembered to take the trash bins out, and left my house very tidy! I really appreciate her attention to detail and the great care she provided to my kitties.
Huge thanks to Braelyn for taking great care of our two dogs and our house for almost ten days! She sent great updates with pictures everyday and was very communicative about her class schedule and anytime she would be away for longer periods of time. We came home to a super clean house and could tell she gave our dogs a ton of love. 💕💕 would recommend and book her again!

I can’t say enough good things about Gio!! He left my house and garden in better shape than we left it, including laundry, leftovers and weeding!! I am so appreciative to have found him. He took such amazing care of my boys and I’m so grateful to have someone I trust. THANK YOU GIO🫶

Konner was great with our pup and stepped in at the last minute when our other sitter cancelled. He was on time, followed our instructions, was kind, and very respectful of the house. Our pup had a good time with him. Highly recommend. Would gladly use him as a sitter again.

Chiara did a fantastic job watching our two dogs in our house, for our 3 day trip. She provided prompt and constant communication the entire time. She followed all instructions for feeding, walks and other dog care. She sent us photo and text updates periodically, to let us know our dogs were in good hands. She also went the extra mile and stayed longer than planned due to a flight delay. I highly recommend using Chiara for your dog care needs and my wife and I would definitely book Chiara again for any future trips !

Alison was an incredible sitter for our sweet Sully! She sent lots of pictures and kept us updated throughout her stay. She introduced Sully to her own pup and they seemed to have the best time together! Alison was also great about bringing in our packages/mail and took great care of our home!

Melissa was fantastic with Gracie over a week-long stay, communicative from the start with frequent updates and photos. Gracie has never let anyone but me walk her, but Melissa earned her trust so quickly that they were happily walking together by day two. She and her husband Chase are clearly a great team, both attentive and genuinely caring with Gracie. I'm grateful to have found a sitter I can really trust with Gracie, since that's not something I give easily.

Scarlett was an amazing sitter. She loved our fur babies for 5 days while we traveled. She sent pictures and kept us updated. She decreased my anxiety about leaving them for a prolonged period. She stayed in our home and will always be welcomed back. When we returned our home was clean as if no one had been here, except the pups ready to great us. Thank you Scarlett for taking such great care of our babies.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wheat Ridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wheat Ridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wheat Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
