“Overall, great experience working with Bill. Communicative and easy to work with. Took great care of both my dog and cat at our home. We felt comfortable while we were in California for the holidays knowing our furry loved ones are comfortable at our home with Bill. They were taken care of and loved. We will be using him every time her on out.”

“Kristen was amazing! I was so anxious to leave my furbabies but she totally put me at ease and did a great job of sending updates and photos while we were gone! She even took care of my jungle of plants as well! So glad to have found someone I can trust with all my babies 💕”

“Keriann communicated well & we loved the photos she sent of our girls 🐶🐶 while we were away. This was our 2nd time using her. The house was tidy when we returned & she even washed the sheets & towels. 👏”

“Seth was incredible with our two dogs and cat! He watched them in our home for a week and sent constant updates with videos and pictures. He took the dogs on multiple extended walks a day and made sure we knew how that day went regarding their routine and moods. Highly recommend if you are someone who looks for frequent and thorough communication and a responsible pet sitter. Home was in great shape when we came back and pets were very happy :)”

“The best!!! Couldn’t be happier about the care of my girl! Sondra has been walking her to get to know her for many weeks before our trip. As for our trip she was here a few minutes earlier than we needed which was fantastic! We got updates a couple times a day, photos, videos and clear communication about her own day and how long she was expecting to be away-which was never a long time. 100% recommend!!”

“Took great care of my animals and home. Lots of updates throughout the day. Made my vacation stress-free and I returned home to framed photos of my pets. Appreciated the extra effort! Great sitter.”

“I was very nervous at first leaving Ein alone for 6 days. My worries were soon alleviated when the status reports and pictures came in. My little pooch (and the cats too) were well cared for. Ein is going to miss his buddy! He got so much exercise and play time. I recommend Danielle 100%!”
“From the beginning there was such a good communication with Zapora, she and Fiona got along very well and very quickly, she took good care of our baby Fiona when she needed it the most, we are super grateful for all the walks and patience.”

She took our dog on lots of walks, which we loved! Peace also left our house spotless and our dog was happy and herself when we got back! I would recommend Peace to anyone looking for a Rover! We hope to continue to have her watch our pup in the future.”

“We really appreciated Ella’s responsiveness, fastidiousness, and flexibility. Our pooch injured her eye before we left town for the weekend that required additional medicine, a cone, etc. Ella didn’t miss a beat! Our furry companions were well cared for and happy and healthy upon our return home. Can’t ask for much else!”

Sarah recently watched our two dogs overnight at our house and did a wonderful job. She followed our lengthy and detailed instructions, made our dogs feel very comfortable (they clearly adored her!), and left our house super clean and tidied up for us. Appreciated all the updates and photos while we were away as well. We would recommend her highly and we all will look forward to her next stay. Thank you, Sarah!

Amy was great! She sent updates and pictures every day. I felt so at ease knowing someone kind was with my girl to comfort her during a big storm and all the days I was out of town. My girl was happy when I returned and my home was kept clean and respected as well. Thank you Amy!

William has dog sat for us twice and he’s excellent. This time, he stayed at our house while we were out of the country for 18 days. We have a 3yo blue heeler with epilepsy and a 7mo Bernese with lots of energy! William managed the medication regimen seamlessly. He also worked with our puppy on a few training things which were noticeably better when we got home! Our dogs love him - it’s super clear they are comfortable with him by how calm they are when we leave or when we get home. We got updates every few days with pictures. He even perked up my herb garden plants that had wilted. Really, I cannot write a strong enough review! It’s truly a pleasure to work with him and we feel complete peace of mind knowing he’s house sitting for us.

We couldn’t have asked for a better house and pet sitter than Davian! Taking care of our home and our trio—our dog, Pepper, and our two indoor cats, Shawn and Milo—is no small task, but he handled everything seamlessly. He kept Pepper happy and well-exercised, made sure Shawn and Milo received plenty of affection, and strictly adhered to everyone's regular routines. His communication was fantastic throughout our trip, sending frequent updates and photos that gave us complete peace of mind. On top of being wonderful with the animals, Davian treated our home with the utmost respect, leaving it spotless and completely secure upon our return. He is reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely caring, making him everything you could want in a sitter. We will definitely be booking Davian again in the future and highly recommend him to anyone looking for top-notch care!

Bridget was so sweet and kind to our elderly lab mix, Coal. We came home after 7 days to a very happy, well taken-care-of pup! She was a great communicator, and sent lots of pictures and updates every day we were gone, which went a long way to making us feel stress free about our furry family member. Great job and thank you, Bridget! 🙏
Seth is genuinely the best Rover sitter we have ever had. We have used him many times, and will continue to book him in the future! He sends so many amazing updates, and leaves our house in immaculate shape. Our pets love Seth as well! He takes such great care of them. 20/10 would recommend Seth to anyone!

Jasmin is fantastic! She truly cares for animals as if they’re her own and takes great care to send pics and updates daily. She took time to get to know the house, the pets, and the instructions ahead of time so everyone felt good before we headed out on vacation. Having someone care for your pets can definitely cause some nervousness, for the pets and parents alike, but Jasmin completely calms those nerves for all involved. Thanks for such a great experience, and I’m sure my fur baby will be excited for your next stay :)

Clara was super responsive, caring, loving and perfect for our dog. She was so sweet and was respectful. She was able to give complicated care to our sweet dog for eight days while we were gone, took care of my plants, and even washed all the towels and sheets. She took many pictures and handles everything our dog needed. I would hire her again!!!!!
Stephanie is great with our dog and our house. She gets him out on multiple walks a day, is very responsive, sends lots of pics, and does a great job with him. I trust her to take good care of our boy and know she’ll keep us posted if anything happens. We’ve used her a few times now and I’d definitely recommend!

The average cost for House Sitting in Pleasant View on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 8,830 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pleasant View. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pleasant View walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pleasant View maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pleasant View choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
