“Nick was the most kind, best rover you could ask for! We were so worried taking our pups for the first time but he always checked in with us. His home is beautiful and our doxies enjoyed the company of 4 other doxies and a mini poodle!! It was wonderful and they had the most fun. Would definitely come back!!! :)”

“Murphy loved hanging with Shawna for the weekend! She was communicative, flexible, and generally a great human. We’d loved to use her services again in the future :)”

“Irina and her husband took the BEST care of our fur baby! They sent photos, videos, and updates, and she was smiling in every one of them. She looked so happy, we were nervous she wouldn't want to come home! 😆 We will definitely be back.”

“Mitzi and Klifton are the absolute best! Super caring and responsible, professional, wonderful to communicate with... I cannot think of a better place to entrust our dog to. Thank you so much!”

“Taylor and Daniel were so good with my pup over a long weekend! They sent lots of pictures and updates which is always great. Will definitely continue to have them watch him!”

“Highly recommend! They were amazing with our golden retriever Blue. We received lots of pictures and videos. They celebrated Blue's birthday with a special treat. Blue and their dog Topo played so well together. We are so thankful to have found Molly and Kevin!”

“Iliana was great with my dog, Cooper. She sent a lot of photos so I was never wondering how he was doing. They went to the park often and he came home tired and happy!”

“Kelsey and Charlee are the best! She sent lots of photos, was flexible with pickup/ drop off times and kept in touch the whole trip! Will absolutely be back :)”

“Words can’t fully express how amazing Sri and Matt were with Maya. From the very first meet-up, it was clear how much they cared—not just about dogs in general, but about her. They took the time to make sure she felt right at home, and that I felt at ease too. Throughout her stay, they sent tons of photos, showered her with playtime and affection, and honestly treated her like one of their own. The fact that they even threw her a birthday party—just melted my heart. I could tell she was absolutely thriving. I’d trust them with Maya a hundred times over and can’t recommend them enough.”

“Graham has enjoyed his time with Susan and her two adorable doxens. Susan has been very reliable and Graham comes back tired from all the attention and playtime.”

“We recently moved here and were so happy to find Janet on Rover! We got such a good feeling when we took our dog, Trixie, for a meet and greet. Thank you for taking such great of her! We felt good knowing that Trixie was going to enjoy her stay with Janet and her family.”

“Paige is amazing! I’m so grateful for the care and attention she gave to my dog, Louis. She provided updates throughout his stay and was very responsive and accommodating. Book with her!”

“Neill took such good care of our dog when we boarded with him for a long weekend! He has a great big yard for the dogs to hang out in and he sent so many pictures and updates throughout the weekend. Will definitely board with him again!”

“Our dog came home so happy, tired, and well-loved after her stay with Hannah! Hannah sent us so many pictures of them on long walks. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a rover and will be booking her services in the future!”

“Anthony took wonderful care of our doodle, Wesley, for a long weekend. His 3 poodles were very friendly and played well with their guest. We loved seeing pictures of their backyard playtime (their backyard is huge - tons of space for pups to run.) I felt that Wesley was in really good hands and would definitely book again!”

“Overall experience with Emily was great. She was very accommodating as I had a last minute booking. She kept me up-to-date with what they had done that day and sent pictures. I will definitely be rebooking with Emily in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wheat Ridge
Debra was wonderful with our dog, Josie! We scheduled a meet-and-greet a few weeks before her stay, which helped us feel comfortable and gave Josie a chance to meet Debra and her dogs. During her stay, Debra sent updates along with photos and videos, which we really appreciated. Josie clearly had a great time playing and came home happy and completely worn out. Debra’s large fenced backyard and doggie door allowed the dogs plenty of freedom, and we loved that aspect of her setup. We would absolutely book with Debra again and highly recommend her!

Highly recommend Makayla! We had a last minute need for someone to watch our 4-year old 70 lb Goldendoodle while we attended a concert at Red Rocks. We searched the area on Rover and found MaKayla so we sent request. Within 10 mins. She had responded she could watch our pup. She made it extremely easy for us - we dropped him off with her that evening and we picked him up the next morning. She shared pics of our dog playing with her pups and sleeping on the couch, giving us great comfort that Dash was being taken care of while we enjoyed the concert! Thank you Makayla for your wonderful care for Dash!

Emily was outstanding. Our pup got TPLO surgery for an ACL tear not too long ago and Emily was very acommodating with Korras restrictions and making sure she got her medicine! We got tons and tons of pictures of Korra while she was staying with Emily. I could tell that Emily really loved Korra. I will definitely be booking with Emily again!

Luke was fantastic! We received pictures and updates throughout the entire weekend, and his communication was excellent from start to finish. Our dog, Tony, came home happily exhausted, which is always the best sign. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking with Luke again!

Jamie & Chris were amazing! Great communication and took such great care of our pups. One of our dogs is a senior with an autoimmune condition and it was a huge stress relief to get regular updates and know he was in good hands. We were out of town over the 4th holiday and Jamie did so much to make sure the pups were comfortable during the fireworks. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
