Teacher & Dog Lover

I’ve been caring for, feeding, walking, and boarding my friends’ dogs for years and only recently decided to offer boarding part-time in my home. I have sat for dogs who have specialized diets as well as those who have prescriptions. I’ve sat for young and old dogs, high-energy and low-energy. As an elementary school teacher, I’m very patient, nurturing, and pay close attention to needs. I have a spare bedroom that I’m currently turning into a “doggie hotel”. Rest assured, your dog will have their own personal space as well as socializing opportunities. My dog, a friendly Labrador, does a great job balancing friendliness, care, and giving dogs their space. She is a great host. If you would like your dog to have a safe and caring home to stay at, I can guarantee a wonderful, fun and enriching experience for them. I’m eager to learn your routines, commands, training, and expectations so I can provide your dog comfort in predictability while you are away. I will care for them as if they’re my own, sending you their mental and physical updates, as well as silly/cute photos!

We’re so grateful to Keesha for taking care of our dog Yuki after our other sitter cancelled at the last minute. Yuki got lots of love and attention and came home exhausted (in a good way) from all the fun and playing

Keesha did a great job with our dog. He has stayed with her multiple times and loves going back. Her dog Lucy is great with others. Always great to have a trustworthy place for your animals to stay when you are out of town, and he was tried when we returned, so that’s a plus.

Keesha is any dogs best friend 🐕 She’s super attentive, kind, and considerate towards my aging doggo, and she’s very easy to communicate with. I really appreciated her experience caring for all types of dogs and their specific needs.

I lived with Keesha for 3 years as roommates, and we both had dogs at the time, so I got to see firsthand how she cares for animals day to day. She is one of the kindest, most caring people I know, and that shows in how she treats dogs. She was attentive to my dog as well as her own, and I always felt completely comfortable knowing she was around. Keesha is responsible, patient, and genuinely capable. She knows how to read a dog’s needs and keep them happy, safe, and well cared for. I’d trust her with my dog without hesitation, and I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who will treat their pet like family. — Dave B

Schedule

During the weekdays, I wake early to feed and play with the dogs. After work, I play with them, feed them, do some command training, then usually end the day with an evening walk through the Regis University campus.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a spare room with a full size bed and dog bed for your dog. I can easily put a crate in their room as well, if this is your dog’s safe space/routine. If your dog prefers the couch or foot of my bed, they are welcome to those options as well! My backyard is 30x30 yards, and is completely fenced. I’m currently not dog-sitting in others’ homes. But I’m available for drop-ins.

Pets

A typical day

On weekdays, your dog can look forward to evening walks, playtime, and cuddles on the couch. The weekends are packed with fun- we can visit a quaint neighborhood dog park, adventure to Cherry Creek dog park, go for longer walks in the neighborhood and up Clear Creek. My dog usually adventures with me to the mountain trails to hike as well. I’m happy to meet your pup’s energy/socializing needs at any level.
