“Janet was a wonderful sitter for Koba. She has a fantastic backyard and Koba had a blast playing fetch and rolling around in the snow. Janet provided tons of pictures and videos and I could tell that he was well taken care of. Highly recommended and I hope Koba can vacation with her again.”

“Skye was a great sitter for this weekend with my dog, Massi. She asked good questions about his care at dropoff and kept up the pics/videos throughout his stay. Skye took him on lots of walks and played with him. I recommend Skye’s services and would use her as a sitter again!”

“I had the pleasure of having Mariah take care of my elderly cat, Louie (16 years young) while I was away, and I cannot express enough gratitude for her exceptional care. From the moment I met her, I knew my cat was in loving hands. Mariah went above and beyond to ensure my Louie was comfortable, happy and calm. From administering medications to providing extra cuddles and attention. Her genuine affection for animals shines through in every interaction. I returned home to a happy and content kitty and I credit Mariah entirely for that. I highly recommend, her to anyone in need of a caring and reliable pet sitter. Thank you, Mariah, for treating my Louie like your own family!”

“We haven't used a sitter who wasn't family for little Lola before so we were blessed to find Dana - and Rover for that matter. Lola was happy and cuddly with Dana and her family when we returned - we could tell she had been loved and well cared for. I would definitely recommend Dana and ask for her services again. Happy dog!”

“Abbey was great for watching our sweet girl, Ivy. She was communicative throughout her stay and kept us updated regularly. Ivy also seemed to have a great time too and we would definitely rebook with Abbey if needed in the future!”

“Kelly was super flexible with our changing plans at drop off (thanks again!) and provided daily updates for our dog Scully. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Chloe and Josh were amazing rovers! They sent lots of pics, kept me updated on how Mazie was doing, and even took her to a brewery with them. She was pooped when she got home and that’s how you know she had a great time! They were also very accommodating with pickup when I got home earlier than expected. I will definitely be using them again in the future - can’t recommend them enough.”

“Brittani was great with Toast. When he started to feel sick, Brittani was very communicative and worked hard to get him back to his normal self. We’ll definitely book with them again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Denver
Monica was such an awesome sitter for our pup, Eddie! We were nervous leaving him for almost 3 weeks, but we’re so happy he had the best vacation at Monica’s place while we were gone. She was so communicative, sent lots of photos, and updated us on all of his unique health needs. Eddie was so happy in all of the photos and when we picked him up. We will absolutely have Monica and Zach watch him again soon. His new friends!!

This is the second time our dog has been boarded with Mark . At this point, it would be difficult to leave our dog with any else for dog sitting (we hope Mark never stops boarding dogs, ever. Or Mark needs to be cloned Haha). Mark is extremely communicative, aware of the various dogs he has that are together and the personalities of the dogs and provides the best updates (very detailed and with lots of photos from throughout the day)!! Mark treats our dog like his own and it shows because our dog has become very relaxed while staying with Mark. I would highly recommend, Mark, if you’re seeking someone to board your furbaby with!!

Christine and Adam were absolutely wonderful with Otis! This was our first time using Rover, and they made the entire experience easy and stress-free. They have a fantastic home for dogs, with plenty of comfortable places to relax, lots of room to roam, and everything needed for overnight stays, including kennels of all sizes. It’s obvious they genuinely love animals, and that gave us a lot of confidence while we were away. Before the stay, they took the time to meet with us so we could make sure their very sweet dog and Otis got along, which we really appreciated. Throughout the stay, they communicated exceptionally well and sent lots of photos and updates, so we always knew Otis was happy and well cared for. They’re also very friendly and conveniently close to our house. We wouldn’t hesitate to have Christine and Adam watch Otis again, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy sitters.

Rick and Allison really came through for us last minute to watch our girls. We got constant photo updates throughout their stay which we really appreciated. We never had to wonder how our girls were doing cause the pictures showed them having fun and making friends with other dogs. It really did put us at ease knowing they were being taken such good care of. Both our dogs even seemed sad to leave when we picked them up! That’s rare, so thanks so so much again!

My fur-babies stayed with Jenny for a few hours while on a cross-country trip so that we could take a day off driving to adventure. She was so centrally located and available at the last minute, and wonderfully convenient. My boys were already stressed and overwhelmed when I brought them to her and she gracefully handled them, kept me informed throughout the day and did everything in her power to give them a calm place to hang on a hot summer day.

Mila went above and beyond watching our pups. Both of our dogs needed medication and monitoring that we found out about last minute and she was very accommodating and accepting of the extra care they needed. She sent us great updates with photos and videos showing our dogs were eating and sleeping well and having a great time. I had such peace of mind while I was away, knowing that my dogs were in good hands and being well taken care of. She is wonderful. I would 100% book with Mila again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
