“Very accommodating for last minute reservation! Kept us updated throughout the weekend with pictures. Also has a very sweet pup. Would definitely use again!”

“Grady and Tanutra were amazing!! They provided regular updates for our dog during the entire stay and regularly sent photos. The process was super easy and they were incredibly accommodating!”

“Cannot say enough wonderful things about Doby! She watched our dog Luna with such incredible care, making sure to provide plenty of updates along the way. She gave Luna tons of walks and clearly took the responsibility of caring for a dog seriously. It was stressful for us to leave her at only 10 months and I would absolutely choose Doby to watch her again! Thank you!!!!”

“Daniela is a great sitter and I recommend her due to her positivity and love for animals! Upon first greeting you can truly tell she loves animals and your pet will be in good hands and she will treat them like one of her own. I will definitely be booking Daniela for future travels if I need someone to keep Riley entertained. As her profile states “doggy retreat” which is true as the dog will be entertained the whole stay and you will get constant photos and videos of the adventures knowing your animal is in good hands! There is a difference someone just “watching” your animals and someone being a care taker for your dog. Daniela is definitely a care taker and treats your animal like one of her own! Highly recommend”

“Highly recommend Cassandra! We had a long-term stay need and felt very comfortable with the level of communication and how easy it looked like our dog was getting along. She took great care of our pup, and we would certainly recommend and hope to book again when needed!”

“Kelly was super fantastic!. It was our first time boarding our senior dog, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Kelly sent updates and pics, to put us at ease and really allowed for us to relax and enjoy our trip. I swear Brownie wanted to stay with Kelly another night! Can't imagine going with anybody else!”

“Divya a Kyle are excellent dog sitters!! They were very responsive and sent pictures and videos of our sweet baby. We had to find a sitter last minute and are so grateful they were available. Thank you for taking such great care of our pup!”

“Jeanne took great care of my dog! She kept me updated with pictures and even asked for permission to take her on a hike which I appreciated since my pup is a little older.”

“Susan was beyond amazing. I have a sweet 4-year-old Pomeranian named Thor who has separation anxiety. I traveled to Southeast Asia for a couple of weeks for family reasons, and this was the longest we’d ever been apart since I got him at 8 weeks old. Leaving him was incredibly difficult, and I had a lot of concerns about how he would handle being away from me. Susan was patient, understanding, and truly went above and beyond in helping Thor transition. She supported him with eating, socialization, and most importantly, helped him feel safe and loved. She was also incredibly kind and compassionate toward me, understanding how hard it was to be away from Thor for such a long time. We communicated regularly, and she sent photos and updates even though I was on the other side of the planet. She was also very understanding when unexpected travel issues came up. Thor had the opportunity to be around other dogs in a safe, structured, and loving environment, and Susan put so much care and intention into every phase of his adjustment. When I picked him up after two weeks, he was happy, calm, and there have been no behavioral challenges since coming home. I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about having “Aunty” Susan as Thor’s caretaker.”

“A great experience, our pup "Duke" loved the easy life on the cozy couch and in the fenced in yard. He also made a new puppy companion and we got all the snuggle pics to prove it. Jacquelyn was super helpful and asked all the right questions during our meet and greet. She also saved our tails when we put in a last minute request for a stay over the holiday weekend!”
“Marc has been taking care of our sometimes challenging dog for a few years now! She is reactive with other dogs, but Marc has been great with her. With other dog sitters she has come home kind of sad and depressed for a few days, but she is always really crazy happy to see Marc and really happy and balanced when she comes home! Thank you for taking good care of Ellie when we are away!”
“Lauren and her partner are super friendly, so great with Emma, and very caring!! They sent pictures all the time with updates and went for many walks. Emma is super happy when I picked her up!”
“I was nervous for my puppy’s first night away from me, but Nick took such care with my lil guy! I loved the photos and videos I received, and it looked like he had a blast with his new friends. I highly recommend!”

“Jennifer is really easy to work with. My pup has been recovering from TPLO surgery, and Jennifer was receptive and mindful of the care/instructions needed. She’s easy to reach and always responds in a timely manner.”

“So grateful! We were nervous about leaving our buddy away from home for the first time, but Rachael helped make the process smooth and reassuring! She was responsive and easy to communicate with, and we really appreciate the welcoming environment she, Betty, and Charlotte provided for Thor. We felt confident he was in good hands and company. Thank you so much!”

Nicole is fantastic!! She's extremely caring, and we love the amount of pupdate photos she sends. We also appreciated how flexible she was when our flight home got delayed and we had to pick him up a bit later than expected. We knew our boy was in good hands the entire time! We will definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
