“I felt very comfortable leaving Dee with Carly and Hunter. They are so kind and willing to adapt to Dee’s quirks. It was my first time leaving her with a sitter and the frequent updates were very helpful and reassuring!”

“Spencer was a great communicator and send lovely updates every day or two - the perfect amount for me! Our dog had a blast and was exhausted from all the fun he had when he got home - also perfect for me! We would definitely use Spencer’s services again!”

“Monica was such an awesome sitter for our pup, Eddie! We were nervous leaving him for almost 3 weeks, but we’re so happy he had the best vacation at Monica’s place while we were gone. She was so communicative, sent lots of photos, and updated us on all of his unique health needs. Eddie was so happy in all of the photos and when we picked him up. We will absolutely have Monica and Zach watch him again soon. His new friends!!”

“Val did a great job watching my dog, Roo for 9 days. She asked good questions when I dropped Roo off and it was clear she has a lot of experience with dogs with all different kinds of needs. Roo takes medication and can be dog reactive, but Val handled her confidently and sent lots of great photos throughout the week. She even sent Roo home with a homemade bandana :) I wouldn't hesitate to book with Val again.”

“Serena is excellent at what she does! My sweet boy had a great time and was happy, but not too happy when I picked him up, so that showed me he wasn't necessarily staring at the door the whole time I was away lol. Serena was super communicative and sent plenty of updates and pictures to put my mind at ease. I will definitely use her again the next time I need boarding for my boy and will refer her to any family or friends who need a boarding service.”

“Katya did a wonderful job taking care of Zoey for me while I was out of town for over a week. She was very responsive to all of my messages and consistently sent fun photos of my pup through out the trip. It became very clear to me very quickly that Katya pays close attention to details, particularly as it related to Zoey's Probiotic and sensitive stomach. Had Zoey gotten into anyone else's food, she would have gotten an upset stomach and other issues. I absolutely would recommend Katya to anyone looking for a new sitter for long and short trips alike. I look forward to leaving Zoey with her again on my next trip.”

“Super kind and accommodating with our little girl! Our doggie doesn’t do good alone and she received so much love, care, and attention here♥️Thank you Patrice for being so great with our baby !”

“Danielle was awesome! She sent pictures every day and took great care of my little Leo! as long as she would have him back, I would definitely go to her again! Thank you so much, Danielle”

“I was worried at first because this was my first time doing Rover. Turns out my baby LOVED being there with Corinne and her daughter. I’d definitely book with Corinne. She sent pictures and communication was great! 👍🏻”

“Oleg and Tamara are fantastic! They treat our pup like one of their own. He always has the best time staying with them and never wants to leave! We can’t recommend them enough”

“We left our loving, clingy hound Bo with Lauren for three nights this past weekend . We were very nervous, as we had never left Bo with someone he did not know before. Lauren completely understood our nerves and made us, and more importantly Bo, feel at ease almost immediately. Her compassion , calm and experience was very evident - and Bo clearly had a wonderful and safe weekend in Lauren’s extremely capable hands. She updated us with photos and texts regularly. She provided him with a chew toy that included surprise treats for him to solve - a great touch! I would rate her professionalism, her compassion and her love for Bo (and dogs in general) to be nothing short of outstanding. We are very grateful that we found Lauren - and we wholeheartedly recommend her.”

“Tiffany was great!! Highly recommend her, she was incredibly nice and commutative. I loved getting pictures of my dog on lots of walks and having fun with her daughter. I definitely plan to rebook Tiffany in the future!”

“Gloria is wonderful! She took such excellent care of Finn and kept us updated on their adventures with plenty of pictures that totally brightened our day while we were away from our little buddy. We highly recommend her and would love to have her watch Finn again. Her pup Bruno is so sweet and mild-mannered, the pictures of Finn and Bruno cuddling were adorable. And thank you so much for the super sweet note and adorable gift for Finn!”

“Highly communicative, her process shows that she really cares! I always receive so many great pictures and photos of my dog when I’m gone. I can tell he really loves her and has a great time.”

“Ashley was so great with our dog Ellie! She gave us daily updates with pictures and videos, and let us know how she was coping with the change of staying over in a new environment. Also Ellie and Ashley’s dog got along famously. My partner and I would definitely use her again for any doggy needs.”

“Mark and Diane were absolutely wonderful with Birdie! From the start, they made her feel safe, loved, and right at home. Their kindness and trustworthiness put me completely at ease. Birdie had the best time with them, from hikes and lots of park play to hanging out with their sweet pup, Pitzi, who quickly became her instant best friend. It’s clear they truly love dogs and treat them like family. I would recommend Mark and Diane to anyone and would trust Birdie with them anytime!”

Carly, Hunter, and their sweet Tilly took such great care of our golden retriever! Amazing communication, tons of photos and videos, and they genuinely loved on our girl. Knowing our girl is in such good care while we are out of town is such a joy. Thank you Carly and Hunter!

William was very responsive and took great care of my pup. He can be a little nervous, but he was comfortable enough with William to play with him! I really appreciated all the pictures and videos that he sent too. It was reassuring to know that my baby was in good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask William to board my pup again. Thanks!

Ann and Curtis were lovely! They took great care of my dog and sent updates and pictures every day. They were even courteous enough to meet before the stay to introduce our pups! They have a great (very friendly) dog of their own that kept my dog company all week. They walked my dog daily at the nearby parks and have a great fenced in yard for her to play in. I'm glad I found them for future stays. Thanks again! :)

Jessie’s level of care for my senior dog is what everyone hopes for but doesn’t always get. The fact that she has a small dog about his size was so nice for my pup because he typically doesn’t have playmates. She sent me texts and pictures to make sure I knew what he was up to everyday. She made sure to give him his supplements, which he needs everyday and with every feeding. I couldn’t have left him with a better person.

Susan is an amazing sitter!! My little munchkin is a Velcro love bug and she was comfortable and playing with her toys . Susan sent pictures, stayed in touch and was flexible when I had a slight schedule shift. I can’t recommend enough! We will be back! Thank you !!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
