“Gary is an unbelievable pet sitter. He looked after my cat Gigi and she couldn’t have been in better hands. He sent thorough cards and pictures after each visit and my only regret is that i didn’t find him sooner. Thank you Gary!”

“Kelly did an amazing job with Rudeus. She was very sweet with him and made sure he was taken care of and happy while I was away. Kelly was very prompt with the schedule as well and made sure we got plenty of pictures.”

“I can't recommend Noelle enough as a dog walker! She is everything you could hope for—reliable, trustworthy, and truly passionate about animals. From day one, she put me at ease with her professionalism and warm personality. My dogs absolutely adore her, and I can always tell when Noelle has been by because my pups are happy, well-exercised, and relaxed. One of the things I appreciate most about Noelle is her dependability. She always arrives on time, follows any special instructions I leave, and provides updates after each walk, often with adorable pictures. It’s clear she genuinely cares about my dog's well-being, ensuring they get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. Additionally, I trust Noelle completely with access to my home. She is responsible, respectful, and goes above and beyond to ensure everything is secure when she leaves. Knowing that my pets and my home are in such good hands gives me great peace of mind. If you’re looking for a dog walker who is not only experienced and caring but also trustworthy and professional, Noelle is the perfect choice. I’m incredibly grateful to have found her!”

“Lara is absolutely fantastic. She communicates promptly, takes all the pics, and is reliable! You can tell she really cares and loves your pup like her own and that is very important to me! Definitely will book with her again. This was my first experience with a Rover sitter and I can’t recommend her enough! Thank you Lara!”

“Denise is incredible! I just moved to the area and haven’t built up a network of folks to look after our animals yet. My wife and I lucked into finding Denise! She was punctual, responsive, and even though she wasn’t in charge of looking after the cats, she let us know about them over the course of our wedding weekend. She just graduated from college and we were fortunate enough to meet her before she starts her new career where she will be helping to make this city even better as an engineer. She is responsible, kind, and goes out of her way to care for your animals. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend, and will be lucky to have her look after my pup again in the future. Thank you Denise!”

“Jade is amazing! I needed someone in a pinch and she was super flexible to work with me and my pups. They love her so much! I’ve already rebooked her and will continue to do so.”

“Cara and Tom were SO helpful for us. we needed someone to drop in on our dogs last minute and they were so willing. they were so kind with our dogs and sent us pictures to keep us up to date. we absolutely felt so comfortable with them checking in on our dogs. we recommend!!”

“Kirsten took the best care of my two kitties. She went above and beyond my expectations and left my apartment clean and my kitties happy. She took extra time to pet, brush, and play with the cats and kept me updated everyday with how things were going. Loved her and will be reaching out again!”

“Hannah was incredible!! She took amazing care of my cat and left my house spotless - did the dishes she uses and took out my trash! She goes above and beyond and really does take great care of my olive while I am away. She is my go to cat sitter and hightlu highly recommend!!”

“Samuel was great with our puppy! It was her first day at home without myself or my husband. Samuel came for two drop in visits on the same day. He ensured that she played, ate, and was not too lonely. He kindly sent updates and gave us some peace of mind.”

“Mary was so wonderful with our puppy, Moby! He’s nervous around new people and she made him feel so comfortable he immediately warmed up to her. She was very accommodating with our short notice and gave fantastic updates. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Ashley is the best! I got really great updates about my cat, and Ashley went above and beyond by having to simultaneously care for my cat and chat with my landlord who unexpectedly dropped by while I was away! It was stressful for my cat Andy with me away and sounds of dehumidifiers in the basement, but Ashley made sure Andy was comfortable and okay considering!”

“Asia was wonderful! Knew from the meet and greet that she would be. Sent the cutest pics of Marilyn and made sure she was well taken care of. Would love to use Asia’s services again!”

“Joan did an excellent job of caring for Buckly while I was away. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, compassionate caretaker for their fur baby!”

“Theo was awesome to my two little Boston Terriers! He was prompt, communicative, and worked well with my one girl who was being fussy about eating. Would recommend!”

“Emily is great! I had contacted her last minute about watching my two cats, and they both loved her! She was able to play with them and make them feel comfortable and cared for (even the one is is very shy and normally won’t come out for anyone she doesn’t know!) I will definitely be contacting Emily when I need someone to watch my pets :)”

“Celia was great watching our cats for a few days. She was great with communication and keeping me updated. I would be happy to book with her again when we need her services.”

Lara is absolutely fantastic. She communicates promptly, takes all the pics, and is reliable! You can tell she really cares and loves your pup like her own and that is very important to me! Definitely will book with her again. This was my first experience with a Rover sitter and I can’t recommend her enough! Thank you Lara!

Rachel was so great with my cat! Rachel handled my cat’s medications like a pro and was super flexible and understanding when my plans changed. Would definitely recommend Rachel to anyone for pet sitting, especially if your cat needs any kind of special attention or treatment!

This was my first time using Rover and at first I was a little hesitant but Rachel helped to put my mind at ease. She met with me and my cat beforehand and was timely, friendly and I could tell she had a connection with animals right from the start. Her daily check in notes and photos helped me know that he was well cared for so that I could enjoy my vacation without worry. I would recommend everyone to book with Rachel.

Best cat sitter ever!!! We have a very shy cat who does not come out of hiding for anyone but my husband and I. Scot has been watching our cat when we go out of town for about a year now and she has finally started to warm up to him, even waiting at the door for him to arrive. I never like leaving our cat, but I feel so much better knowing that Scot always takes such good care of her.

Lauren was absolutely wonderful with my VERY shy, 14yo cat, Clarky. Clarky is one of those cats who truly doesn’t like anyone except me, so finding someone I trust to care for her is incredibly difficult. Lauren was so patient, gentle, and respectful of Clarky’s boundaries from the very beginning. What impressed me most was that over the course of the visits, Clarky gradually started to warm up to her. By the end, Lauren had Clarky rubbing her head against the brush for the first time all weekend and even playing with a toy! That may sound like a small thing, but for Clarky it’s a huge accomplishment and speaks volumes about Lauren’s calm, compassionate approach with timid cats. Lauren also sent thoughtful updates, photos, and videos after every visit. Seeing Clarky playing and looking relaxed brought me so much comfort while I was away. It allowed me to truly enjoy my trip knowing my girl was in such caring and capable hands. Lauren went above and beyond with litter box cleaning, fresh food and water, treats, and making sure Clarky was comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her—especially to anyone with a shy, anxious, or “people-selective” cat. She has a real gift for earning the trust of cats that don’t give it easily, and I’m so grateful I found her.

Anytime we can book Allysia, we are so happy! She is the best pet and house sitter, and knowing that she will be stopping by every day provides us with so much relief. We really feel that we can trust her to take care of our kitties and our plants (the latter of which is really no easy task as we have hundreds). She is thoughtful, communicative, flexible to last minute travel changes, gentle with pets, able to administer medication and inhalers, and sends great photos and detailed updates. You can tell she has our pets’ best interests in mind and she is super reliable!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
